Phiipa has traveled far always from her home down south, leaving her sisters and find Teekon Wilds. She would miss her family of course, but thought it time to set out on her own. Her small paws tracked across the ground, making good time as she walked joyfully among the stones in the creek, humming to herself. This pack that she smelled would probably do, hopefully they would allow her to join them. She bounded playfully up to the border, looking down at a small daisy. Something managed to grow, a good sign for this place.

After cleaning herself, wanting to look presentable, the golden girl raised her head and let out a howl for the alphas of the pack @Spring or @Laika. She waited patiently, tucking her puffy tail around her white tipped paws and staring at the glade in front of her. Here's to her new life.
Laika lifted her head as a howl rang through the forest. It was obviously coming from the borders, and whoever it was, was calling for the leaders. She dropped what she was doing, which wasn't much anyways, and carefully picked her way over towards the source of the howl. Everyone seemed to howl these days, but she remembered when she joined this pack, and she just sat at the borders until someone found her. That was so long ago! That was back when this pack was still Phoenix Maplewood and lived in Snowforest Taiga. She smiled and flicked her tail from side to side for a quick moment before turning back to her new task.

Finally, the pale woman arrived at the border. Her posture was tall and dominant, but her eyes were swimming with friendliness. She didn't want to scare the poor thing away! Her blue gaze rested upon the stranger, and found that she was a golden brown wolf, petite in size with long elegant legs. "Hello. I am Laika. What brings you to Silver Creek borders?" She finally said, stepping closer until she was within good speaking range.
A white female, dominant yet friendly as ever approached the border line speaking kindly to Phiipa. A nice pack so far, if all its members were as outgoing as this one, she'd fit in just fine. It's an honor to make your acquaintance Laika. My name is  Phiipa. I'm hoping to join this lovely pack of yours. She said, glee shining in her sunny eyes. The girl was young, but she had many talents. She was hoping to be a caregiver and a chronicler, for she loved remembering stories and tales and caring for others, but she had more talents than that.

I can offer you my skill as a huntress, my wit in which I will train to become a chronicler. I am good with pups, and would be delighted to care for any present here. I will be loyal to your family, my heart may rest with them all. Her formal tongue was quite different than many she'd met on the way here. Once she got to know others, she wasn't as professional. She was quite a goofball around her friends.
As soon as Laika finished talking, Phiipa exploded with words. They were formal and respectful words at that pleased the beta. She spoke of being a huntress, and Laika, being a skilled hunter as well was intrigued further by this wolf. Then she told Laika that she wanted to be a chronicler and would love to care for pups. All of her skills were greatly needed, and Laika smiled graciously, thinking it over. "That is wonderful Phiipa. We could always use hunters and we do happen to have two pups among us." Then, Phiipa told her that she would be loyal to her family. That was greatly needed. With the disappearance of Saena, many of the Creek's wolves had vowed never to trust Spring as their alpha, and she knew it would only be a matter of time before they left.

She swished her tail, thinking of something to do to get to know this wolf better. To see if she really was worthy of joining her pack. "I am a huntress as well. Would you like to hunt with me?" She asked, stepping over the borders. She wasn't going to allow her within the territory just yet.
Phiipa swelled with pride when Laika praised her. She liked this wolf a lot, she was very much like Phiipa's younger sister and that reminded her of home. This pack surely seemed like the perfect one for her. The pack did have pups, which was great for her. That would only help her grow and learn more in the caregiving trade. She was already excited to meet them, but of course she would have to wait. The pack surely wouldn't let her too close until she was fully integrated with them. Then Laika offered to go hunting with her. This couldn't be going any better.

I believe am I obliged ma'am. She said, dipping her head respectfully as the elegant white wolf made her way across the border towards Phiipa. She allowed the beta to take the lead, she would follow her seeing as she would likely know the territory better. Tail wagging joyfully behind her, she gave Laika a friendly smile, preparing herself for a hunt.
Laika plodded forward, very pleased with the golden she-wolf that strode just behind her. She flicked her tail, searching around for something to hunt. There was no scent of land prey on the wind -- as per usual -- but Laika had something else in mind.

She turned right and followed a well worn path down to the river she had hunted in just days prior with Mella. "Do you know how to fish, Phiipa?" She inquired with a smile. Not everyone did, and that was fine. It wasn't a usual way to get food for wolves, but it was the most reliable in times like these. She continued to walk towards the bank as she waited for the reply.

If Phiipa didn't know how to fish, Laika would simply teach her. Even if she didn't make it into Silver Creek, she would use the fishing skills for the rest of her life and Laika was glad to have aided her. If she already knew how to fish, then they would fish their hearts out! The pale queen stepped into the damp bank, letting the cool earth sooth her paws. She gazed into the water, hoping to pinpoint some fish before they started. No luck.
Phiipa followed the larger female, she was smaller but her long legs allowed her stride to be easy and she only had to trot a bit to keep up. Laika asked her wether or not she knew how to fish. There hadn't been many streams back at Derian Rise, but she had indeed learned before. She was curious to learn more however, and this pack's territory was full of winding creeks. She quickened her pace to fall into step beside the beta. I have been trained to fish, but I have to say I am not the best at it. Of course I will do my best. She said truthfully, a bit ashamed that she couldn't say much good about her fishing skill. Perhaps if she was accepted into Silver Creek, they could teach her to fish better, then he near missing days would be a thing of the past.
Laika nodded. "No worries! I can refresh your memory."  She simply stated, waded into the water. "First -- you might know this already -- fish can feel more than anything, so you want to be as still as you can." She merely repeated everything Cas had taught her just a month ago. Remembering that made her smile, but she pushed those thoughts away regretfully. She had to focus on her task.

The water tugged at her ankles as she waded in. Soon, the water was up to her knees and she paused for Phiipa to catch up. Her tail wagged as she turned her head to study the young girl. She was doing great so far! She likely remembered how to do it the moment Laika began speaking.
Oh my god I might actually be the worst at dice rolls xD

Phiipa listened carefully as Laika entered the stream talking about how fish had a better sense of feeling than anything else. She nodded, taking slow steps into the river. The water was cool, gushing around her creamy paws. She shivered head to toe but continued walking. Once by Laika's side Phiipa paused, looking around carefully. She spotted a fish, swimming its way through up the stream. Perfect! Come on Ipa! You got this. She pounced forwards, hoping to grab the fish in her jaws. But it saw her shadow, and swam away, along with the friend that swam by its side. When the girl resurfaced, both fish were gone. Just her luck.

She turned and went back to Laika, shame in her step. She might've just blown her chances at joining that pack, she wasn't sure what the quota was here. I'm terribly sorry if I splashed you at all. She said, head bowed slightly. So polite, even when she felt more like cursing.
Haha! Laika rolled a 7, which is a fail also.

The girl leaped before Laika could say anymore, which was fine. Maybe Laika was right, and she had remembered how to do it with a quick refresher. She watched with keen eyes as Phiipa hit the water's surface and crashed through, coming back up empty handed.

Even Laika was a little disappointed, giving that she was hungry and they both had the possibility of filling their bellies just then, but she couldn't stay that way for long. Laika still had her chance, and Phiipa's face of sorrow just made her smile. "Your fine, we're not perfect, especially with fishing." She nudged Phiipa's shoulder and turned back to her task, wading back into the water.

She found the small fish swimming in the depths of the shallows, happily eating the algae on the rocks. She lowered her head ever so slightly and pounced upon the tiny body. She felt it graze her paw pads, but with the help of its slippery scales, it escaped from her grasp and darted away.
Laika attempted to cheer Ipa up, and it did work. Good vibes always managed to rub off on the small golden female, and she always tried her best to spread them. The nudge was appreciated, encouraging the yearling to continue on. She watched Laika wade out farther. Phiipa couldn't see what she was attacking from where she sat, but she assumed it to be a fish. She watched hopefully, observing the pretty white wolf's stance as she leaped, fully expecting the fish to be there when she emerged.

It wasn't, and Phiipa hid her disappointment well. She too was very hungry, it would've been nice to find some prey. Anything at all to fill her aching stomach. Good try! I had thought you would surely have it. She said with a friendly smile, her belly rumbling underneath.
Laika was cross when she stepped out of the water, but she smiled when she saw Phiipa. No one is perfect. Sometimes she had to tell herself that over and over. Water dripped from her white locks and she shook her body, making sure she was a good enough distance away. She didn't want to splatter Phiipa with cold, wet bullets.

"I thought I had it too," She told her. "But that's just part of fishing. They're fast!" She laughed at that and settled down on the bank, tail thumping upon the ground. She let the sun soack into her damp fur, and slowly but surely she began to dry off. "The summer sun is just so nice, isn't it?" Despite the obvious boniness of both the girls, and the rumbles of their stomachs, Laika was always able to find a positive.
Phiipa laughed at Laika's little joke, she found the white wolf could easily become a close friend. The golden wolf followed Laika to the back and plopped herself down on the earth to dry. One reason she hadn't fished too much was because she wasn't a fan of water. But she wouldn't complain in front of someone she was trying to impress. Whining was for children and she wasn't a child anymore. Like Laika, Ipa was an optimist, and Laika's comment about the sun made Ipa smile. Her favorite time of day was morning, when everything was new and perfect. But any time of day when the sun shone was good enough for her.

Yes it is. It bounces off of your pelt so nicely and keeps you so warm. It's a marvel and a comfort in one. She said, narrowing her brows to stare at the sky. A few clouds dotted it but it was otherwise a clear day. She ignored her rumbling stomach to enjoy what she could. Maybe now would be a good time to ask more about the pack she wished to join. So your pack, Silver Creek yes? Are there any tasks I must complete if I am to join you? She asked, little paws close together as she stared over at her friend.
Laika took the time to lounge in the sun, her sides rising and falling in rythmic patterns. Soon, Phiipa had spoken again, asking her about the tasks she needed to complete to become a Silver Creek member. "Well, the only things you really need to do is meet at least two other members of our pack and befriend them and show them what you can do." She told her, flashing her a quick smile. "You've already done that with me!"

It was true. Phiipa may not think so, but Laika saw the determination and positivity in her. She was ready to perservere to get where she needed to be. Laika saw all of that in the way she had failed the hunt, but kept going with her head high. The snow queen liked this girl, and knew that Spring would to.
The slow rise and fall of her pelt was all that could show that she was alive. Ipa was so calm, the sun always made her feel serene. She almost forgot that she'd been asked a question in he first place when Laika answered it. She only had to meet two other members and show them who she was. That seemed easy enough. Unless of course she stumbled across a mean pack member but she doubted there would be many of those. She smiled joyfully and Laika's compliment. Hopefully she could live up to the rest of the pack's expectations.

Well it sounds lovely here. It's so unique how you integrate your members and make them feel so at home. I believe I will like it very much here, if I get in. She said, sitting up and looking at a cloud that puffed up like a wolf who'd just shaken their pelt of water.
Laika nodded as Phiipa spoke. "Yes, I do believe that you will fit in here just fine, and I do think you'll make it in." She told her, her eyes sparkling with kindness. She watched the red girl as she sat up looking towards the sky. She followed her gaze up to an oddly shaped cloud. It did look like like a wolf.

They pale princess returned her gaze back to Phiips however, having her own question to ask he girl. "So Phiipa, why Silver Creek? Out of all the packs, why did you chooe this one?"
Phiipa glanced back down to Laika after the white wolf's comment. She loved the encouragement, and it was definitely working. Ipa felt more and more confident every praise Laika gave her. Aria point she couldn't wait to meet the other members. Laika was beta, so who was alpha. Laika asked another question, and Ipa looked back down from her puffy cloud. She thought about it, and chuckled a little. Well I was not here in Teekon Wilds for long, but I was lonely and starving. There seemed to be no other pack scent's in this area to I came to this one and hoped it would be a good fit. It was a bit of a gamble but I came out with what I'd hoped for. I very kind new home. Hopefully new home!

It was true. She was basically hungry and tired and missing her siblings, and needed company. This pack seemed very capable of providing. And not only that but it was courteous and organized, just how she liked it. She moved her sunlit eyes back to the sky, but the cloud was gone, just a wisp in the wind. How quickly things came and gone.
Laika grunted as she got to her feet, shaking clumps of dirt from her pale pelt and glancing around. The day had slipped by so fast, and already it was late afternoon. She looked down at Phiipa as she spoke. It was a very reasonable explaination and she nodded with a smile. "Well I can guarantee you that you've found the right pack," she assured the girl. "Well, I have to go back to the territory and tend to some things. It was lovely to meet you, Phiipa. I recommend calling for Spring sometime. She's our Alpha, and she'd love to meet you."

She touched her nose to Phiipa's sandy pelt, marking her with Laika's scent to let other Silver Creek members know that she was welcome on the borders. With that, she turned and trotted away, flicking her pale tail in a farewell.
Phiipa watched Laika come to her feet, and chuckled lightly at the white wolf's grunts she knew exactly how she felt. This famine had really put a stress on her body. Sometimes standing took more spirit than it should. Phiipa would remember the name of the alpha, and would definitely call for the female. She smiled at her assurance and dipped her head as Laika touched her pelt with her nose. Phiipa was sad to see Laika go, for she found the beta's company very entertaining. She could definitely get used to hanging around her. She wanted to be in the pack right away, but she was polite and patient. She took a look around, then walked away to find a place to spend the night.

I'll archive! Thanks for the thread <3
