Ambrosia finally broke from the coast, traveling between borders and away from packs before settling in the Herbalists Cache. The move had been uneventful but now she was sitting in a patch of growth wishing she was back in the fen. It was her first bout of homesickness, but she was doing her best to push it away. Being home all the time made her anxious more than being away, but perhaps after spending a few weeks away she'll be okay for a while after.
Nonetheless, she was lonely. Even in the fen, she craved the interactions she hadn't ever truly gotten, love and affection. It seemed, however, she was not ever going to find someone to share her life with. A few popped to mind, but they were either taken or not of the place she called home, but above all there was nobody who she'd really sparked with.
Oh well. One day, she'd find the right one, but apparently now wasn't the time, and she pressed on walking to make perhaps a new friend, or even another fight should it come too it. Such was the way the world went.
She had wandered far enough from home, bony legs carrying her as far as they could go from the Silver Mountain pack that she had called home. Withering away, @Grayday was kind enough to give her a meal as gracious as he was in a moment of dire need. Despite playing off the moment as nothing, Reiko knew that she was useless to the pack until she had gotten better. Massive hunts had been done in the loner lands as the prey returned with new growth, Reiko look advantage of such things and ate on the go - quickly picking at the bones of what was left at each kill to feed her scraggly body.

Quickly she found strength again, trotting through the loner lands once more, this time she wasn't without a pack. But instead she wandered away to keep their worries at bay. She'd return with new strength once the time had come. Hips still protruding at the base of her spine, the woman made it to a wondrous cove where she recognized many of the herbs needed for healing. The smell was perfumed and intoxifying.

It wasn't clever to leave home while recovering, she knew that still. But perhaps they would understand once she returned with new strength and herbs to help heal any wounded from the re-newed hunts or illnesses found after a massive starvation! Gathering up as many herbs as she could find, Reiko soon found a rather large woman sitting alone. Approaching cautiously, she placed down her herbs to speak in a gentle tone. Your pelt is rather quite exquisite. An honest compliment.
Don't mind him unless you want to, and feel free to skip. He's just weirdly following Reiko around.
Grayday followed at a distance, giving the pale woman her space to wander. He would be there if she needed him, but in the meantime, he stalked smaller prey in hopes of finding a meal to take home - and a bite for himself, as well.

He stopped his hunting to take note of her interaction with the ginger wolf, ready to bound in if it looked like she might need his help.
Ammie had to wait a little while before someone found her, but eventually a female did, one who immediatley complimented her fur. Before the tawny woman answered, she caught sight of the male lurking in the background who was clearly interested in her friend here. Did they know each other? With a prideful grin and maybe a slight giggle, Ammie's focus turned again on the girl who approached.
"Thank you. Im Ambrosia Valentine, scout and ambassador in training for Broken Antler Fen. You've got a nice looking coat yourself."
Keeping the male in her peripherys, Ambrosia swept her lemon eyes over the snowy girl. Solid white save for her nose and eyes, Reiko really did have a nice coat. Fluffy in some places but thick and feathery like Ambrosia's own in others.
poor grayday xDD once she's done adventuring around, we can totally have their own thread just them two going back home~! if ya want of course

She turned to see where the lovely woman had gazed off in the distance too - but Reiko didn't see anything. Nor did she know what she was looking for. However now she was curious to know what on earth was back there. The woman introduced herself, it was a long title and sounded rather important. Wow, a lovely name too! Im Reiko Izuka, I hail from Silvertip Mountain. No assigned duty yet, but I do believe I was currently given a promotion as a Zeta. I'm not quite sure to be honest, so I'll say that I'm still a Kappa. She softly laughed at herself, these pack ranks weren't all that important to her since she wasn't all that high in the ranks anyways. Just trivial trophies to those who did care about such things. She'd honour the system by showing respect to her higher ups, but her own title didn't matter.

Thank you! She blushed under the alabaster pelt covering her face, I envy your colours though, they remind me of a fiery sunset. Many wolves are dressed in white, you however, are unique - and it's a sight to see. The young woman was honest about her compliment, there was nothing special about being white seeing as so many were white with the same or similar coloured eyes. If put in a lineup with a dozen other wolves she would look like at least one of them.

Broken Antler Fen? Being still new to these lands, Reiko had only heard of Silvertip since she had joined. The other packs were all mysteries to her, so hearing of something else piqued her interest. Do you mind me asking if you were born there? I wasn't born in Silvertip, I come from far North, where the snow falls continuously. I don't mean to pry, so please ignore my questions if you do not wish to answer any!
*Creepy Grayday (fixed that for ya)
Seeing that the reddish wolf was behaving in a friendly manner, Grayday gave a satisfied swish of his tail and trotted off to find a nice place to nap.
The male left, and Ambrosia barely noticed. Her attention was on Reiko, who claimed to come from a place called Silvertip. Wasn't that the pack that'd helped Brandy and Pearl kill the bear? Or was she remembering wrong? She'd heard the name from somewhere, she knew. The two were about the same ranks within their packs, but out here in unclaimed lands none of that mattered.
The white girl pushed her point, and though she hated to sound vain even though she totally was she knew Reiko was right. A lot of wolves were snow colored, but not many had her tawny pelt.
"You are right, but it makes you no less beautiful in comparison."
Next she asked of the Fen, or rather her relation to it, saying she wasn't borne to hers.
"I'm not, actually. I left my birth pack the day I gave birth to my daughter Brandy. We traveled till she was almost one before joining Sebastian to create the Fen pack. I don't mind any questions, I'm gonna be an ambassador. Gotta get used to it."
With a wink, she laughed, waiting for what else Reiko might throw her way. She liked this female, she reminded her of her own rambunctious child.
