Scouting thread for @Niita!

It was exciting; the mere thought of going on an expedition was something Anita was looking forwards to. The she-wolf sat near to the pack's boundaries, wondering where she wanted to go. To be frank, she had no idea. Though she had many the trip as a lone wolf, Anita was unfamiliar with the new responsibility of respecting other pack's borders. Trespassing was the last thing she wanted to do, especially since she wouldn't be able to defend herself too well.

The crimson female pondered over how far she wanted to travel. Somewhere not too far, but still quite a distance. She settled for staying in the Great Bear Wilderness, seeing that it would still be far enough for her.

She had no idea what they would be expected to find. It could be from herbs to valuable information, two very different things. Besides the notion of going on an expedition, Anita didn't really know that much about scouting trips. She decided to howl for Niita, hoping she had the right to do so. Niita was probably already expecting her to call her, since they had discussed it earlier. Anita sat, waiting to see if the white she-wolf would arrive.
sorry for the delay but got IC permission so here she is!

Niita followed Anita's call, still a bit bummed that she wouldn't be seeing Steady for a few days. She had already been so scarce around the territory looking for the pups afield, though it hadn't produced any efforts. Niita had come to the conclusion that they were simply gone. She refused to believe the other alternative. Still, the pale waif would miss her male while she was gone.

Smiling brightly as she appeared, Niita pushed thoughts of Steady from her mind and focused on her goal: be coming a Scout. "Hey Anita! Ready to go?" Niita asked somewhat rhetorically as she approached. "I was thinking we could head to Moonstone Quarry if you haven't been there already. It's a few days travel from here but it's really beautiful." Niita informed her friend, the eagerness to get a move on apparent on her face.
I was stalking Niita's thread with Steady   and poor Niita :c

Anita perked up at Niita's arrival, ready to get going. The white she-wolf, however, did not seem as perky as she. Something was off--an unusual air was being put off by her friend. Anita decided not to investigate, pushing her nosy side away to dip her head in greeting. Not everyone's problems are your problems too. Who knows, she's probably fine. Anita pushed those thoughts to the back of her mind, the notion of their scouting trip rejuvinating her mood.

"Moonstone Quarry sounds like a beautiful place," Anita agreed, standing up and stretching. She was ready to get a move on just as much as Niita. She could tell that something else was enforcing Niita's apparent need to get away, but once again, she decided not to inquire. Hopefully this trip will settle things down, she thought, not knowing that the trip was the source of the dilemma.
I think they'll be okay :P we can end after your post if you want

Anita was obviously curious about what seemed to have Niita down in the dumps though the pale girl had thought she hid it well. Thankfully she didn't pry, it would've been hard to explain that she would just be missing Steady while they were gone. It also seemed a bit silly and clingy of her considering they were going to be gone for just a few days.

"It's far enough that we should be able to tell if the areas around us have recovered fully or if we're just a fluke." Niita thought aloud before turning to Anita. "Alright then, if you're ready we should get going." Smiling at her friend, Niita stepped over the border and began to head in the general direction of Moonstone Quarry.
Oh good! And sure, we'll fade after my post (which is super short :">)

"You're right, this is a good opportunity to check how some other areas are recovering from the Famine," she agreed, hoping that this area wasn't the only one improving. Anita turned to her friend as she spoke, nodding her head. She was ready to leave, and excited too.

Anita stepped over the border to follow Niita. She knew the trek would be long, but it was worth it for the experience.
