set after she and Anita get home. For @Adeline since they haven't threaded much

Niita couldn't have been happier to be home. She and Anita had parted ways, and Niita had made her way towards the den she knew Adeline to be in. She hadn't seen the pup much, not since Zaria's death, and wanted to see how the girl was holding up. Plus, she wanted to give her one of the moonstones in the pouch she carried.

It still felt weird being near the den, she half expected Zaria to rush out and warn her off but that wasn't going to happen. Instead Niita lay down the pouch at her feet and called out softly for the pup.
I hope you don't mind! Zeke wants to talk to Niita <3

Ezekiel walked along, searching for Niita. He had a very serious topic he wanted to ask her about. His life depended on it. It was about Valette. He really liked the dark colored female, but he had no idea how to be in a relationship. Should he just ask her? Or do something special? He'd been thinking about her since she's left. He'd promised her that he'd be here when she returned, and he didn't plan on breaking that promise. He had also promised to watch over her while she napped, the same as she had done for him. He wanted to, but didn't know what to do. Niita was a girl, and she was in a relationship, she could probably help.

After tracking her scent to the hollow where Adeline lived, Ezekiel stopped. Niita was looking for the pup probably, and for a moment his mind drifted. He wondered if Niita and Steady ever planned on having their own kids. No! Now was not the time to think about his friend's relationships. He had to talk about his own. Niita? What's up? He asked though it was clear she was looking for Adeline. He wanted to start with the normal greetings, though was dying to talk about Valette.
Enter Adeline to make this awkward for Ezekiel! XD

She hadn't immediately wanted to come out of the den, choosing instead to snooze for a few more minutes before she opened her eyes. She didn't smell any meat, so it seemed no one had brought her any food. She liked it when they brought her food. Meat was yummy! She yawned and stretched, noticing that her Uncle Steady wasn't here. He came and went at random times, it seemed lately, but she liked having him to snuggle up to.

Her ears swiveled when she heard a male's voice outside. She also heard Niita's name. So, there were two wolves out there. Deciding she would finally respond to the chuff she heard earlier, she picked herself up and ran out of the den, heading straight for the male. Adeline had decided it was play time! She leapt, her intent to land atop his head and try to grab on to one of his ears.
Niita hadn't expected to see Ezekiel and turned to him with a surprised smile, head cocking to the side at how tense he seemed. "Hey Zeke. I was just bringing something to Adeline," she informed, about to mention that she had something for him as well but was unable to as Adeline popped from the den and made to leap onto the large male.

Niita watched the two with an amused grin. "I have something for both of you. They're moonstones," she nudged open the lilypad sack which was now dried out, the stones falling out. They didn't really do anything and weren't particularly valuable but they were pretty or so Niita thought. Perhaps Adeline and Zeke would like them.

"Are you okay? You seemed kinda nervous," she glanced at Ezekiel, directing her worry at him.
LOL SURPRISE xD

Ezekiel nodded when Niita spoke, and was about to start talking about his problems, when something lunged at him. Whatever it was thwomped him in the head and landed upon his shoulders biting his ears. He swayed unsteadily, regaining his balance and shuffling his paws. Once he caught himself, he glanced up to see what was nibbling at his ear. Adeline. Of course. He wanted a conversation with Niita and there was a pup. The young girl reminded him of Odette, which sent a pang of guilt through him, but not for long. He looked back to Niita and gave a slightly irritated chuckle. He wasn't quite sure what to do with the pup so he just stood awkwardly and let Adeline bite him.

Zeke looked down as Niita passed him a moonstone. He looked down at the rock from the corners of his eyes so he didn't throw Adeline off. He could handle children, but didn't know what to do with them. The rock was pretty, a nice gesture from Niita. He slowly rose back up to look at the pretty white wolf and smiled. Its cool, thanks. Though he was anxious to talk about Valette. Adeline still on his head, he frowned at Niita's question. Nervous, no. Impatient yes. Yeah everything's fine, I just wanted to ask you something. He said, glancing up at Adeline again, wondering if she would ever get off.
Adeline was successful in grabbing on to the male's ear, and did her best to get as much slobber on it as possible, and gnawed on it happily. She didn't stop to think whether or not this was fun for him- she was just happy it was fun for her! Plus, he stood there and let her do it, so he must have liked it!

Her attention remained on him until the female spoke about a gift. Adeline's eyes widened when Niita opened up the lily pad and stones rolled out. She instantly let go of Ezekiel and ran to the pile of stones. For me?! she said excitedly. She sniffed them, though they didn't smell like anything special. Still, they were pretty! She realized then that at least one of these were meant for the male she was just slobbering over. Her gaze went to him, and then Niita. Can I pick one first? she asked, not realizing that Niita may have already chosen specific ones for them.
Niita tried to stifle her laughter, truly she did, but it was impossible when watching Ezekiel try to awkwardly ignore the nibbling on his ear. The pup let go when Niita mentioned the stones, coming to look at them appreicatively. Niita smiled at them both, happy they liked the stones at least.

Adeline seemed preoccupied with the moonstones, Niita nodding to her question with a glance at Ezekiel to see if he would care. The moonstone were practically identical except for minor changes in shape. Zeke didn't seem like the type to care about which rock he ended up with. "Sure, go ahead."

"What did you want to ask me?" Adeline seemed pretty distracted by the rocks still, besides, Niita was curious.
Ezekiel was relieved when Adeline removed herself from his head. Immediately he shook his head out, hoping to get out any ear slobber she'd left on there. After a brief reminder to go take a bath later, he turned back to Niita. Glad that he had her attention, he finally spoke. Ok. So there's this girl. I really like her, but I don't know how to be in a relationship. You and Steady seem pretty happy so I thought you might could give advice? Yes that was his life or death question. He was clueless, but really did like Valette and definitely didn't want to screw anything up with her.

The large male glanced down briefly at Adeline, watching her play with the rocks. They were nice rocks, that he'd get a better look at later. However right now he wanted Niita's help.
She was elated with Niita confirmed that she could pick one first, and her eyes immediately began to search through the stones. It took her a minute to pick one, and when she did, she picked it up with her jaws and ran back to the den to store it. She padded the ground with her paws where she wanted to put it, then gently placed it into its spot. Once she was satisfied, she bounded back outside to where Niita and Ezekiel were.

Adeline didn't know much about relationship, and cared even less about them, so the conversation going on between the adults didn't keep her attention at all. Quickly bored, her gaze searched the clearing for some trouble to get into it. She didn't find much, until her gaze landed on a furry tail that happened to be attached to the male. She bounded towards it, her intend to latch on for a game of tug-o-war. Ezekiel was definitely her favorite play toy, mostly because he didn't seem to stop her from doing what she wanted.
Niita's brow furrowed slightly, wondering silently how she could teach Ezekiel how to be in a relationship. Adeline didn't seem to care much for the conversation, latching onto Zeke's tail in a one sided game of tug of war.

Niita gave a small sigh, thinking it over for a minute in search of advice to give. Steady and she had seemed to just happen, minus his issues with jealousy in the beginning. They had just clicked and it seemed to grow into love over time.

"Well does this girl know you like her? That might be a good place to start," she pointed out, not so subtly hoping to find out who his crush was.
Adeline is so cute omg <3

Ezekiel flinched as the little rockets blasted off onto his tail, battering and utterly destroying it as he tried to talk to Niita. Her little teeth did pinch a little, but he had stamina, and could deal with it. Besides, when it came to kids he was often scared he'd hurt them if he protested. He was bigger, and if he tried to shake he off of his tail, he might accidentally fling her into a tree or something. So he let her use him as a playground, waiting for Niita to respond with a chuckle. Kids, amusing and painful.

She asked if the girl knew he liked her. That he didn't know. He would like her to know, but wasn't sure if she did already. Possibly, she's really smart she'll probably figure it out soon. Well when she gets back. That was a big giveaway that he didn't really mean to let slip. Valette was out scouting, doing her thing. One of the things he liked about her was that she was strong and independent, but also friendly and sweet. She was just perfect in his eyes, but how could he tell her? He grunted after he finished, Adeline had bitten a bit too hard. He turned around to look at her. Ouch! He said playfully before looking back to Niita.
Adeline growled ferociously as she "fought" the furry creature, grabbing and jerking on it. The wolf it was attached to didn't seem to want to stop her, so Adeline assumed it was fine to keep going. She didn't know the male was probably just trying to be nice, or that this might hurt.

An "ouch" got her attention, and the pup let go of her enemy, looking up at Ezekiel. He looked away, back to the other female, and she waited a moment before her gaze scanned him, looking for her next spot to attack. Settling on a back leg, she opened her jaws and pounced, hoping to make contact.
Niita watched the pair with a grimace, wondering if she should stop Adeline. Ezekiel seemed to be handling it fine, shooting her a worried look and Niita convinced herself that he could handle the pup. Surely if it got to be too much he would tell Adeline to stop.

As for his response, she nodded with the resignation that he wouldn't be giving away anything. "Well even if she does know, it might be good to tell her. If she likes you back you could ask to court her," she suggested, unsure if this mystery woman liked forthright men or if she played hard to get.
Relieved that his ouch had ceased the fire at his backside. The large boy tucked his tail around himself when she let go, eying the little firecracker carefully. He certainly didn't mind her playing on him and all, in fact he was quite fond of Adeline. However he wasn't fond of the pain she liked inflicting. Thankfully she didn't return to his fluffy tail, but instead went to work on his back leg. He let her do so for as long as he could handle, and with his tough skin he could take quite a bit. He turned his attention back to his friend as she spoke, wondering if he should tell who the girl in question was.

Ezekiel thought about what she said, perhaps when Valette returned he would tell her, but he couldn't. What should he say? And what if she doesn't like me back? He asked, worried about rejection. It was something he'd dealt with for a long time, and outright rejection sounded worse than anything else right now. Perhaps he'd start slow instead of jumping into it.
Ezekiel allowed her to gnaw on his leg, and she did so with gusto, small growls coming from her throat. She tried to wrestle with the leg, though it was a little awkward. After a few minutes of this, her bites tried to make their way up his leg to his back. In a fit of energy, she threw herself away from him, running in circles around the pair before attempting to pounce on Ezekiel again.

For a little while longer, she play and attempted to wrestle with Ezekiel. Soon, however, she grew tired, and ended up at his side, curled up and fast asleep.

Feel free to skip me. Probably my last post, unless she wakes up with more energy!
Niita watched the hyper pup run circles around them, wondering silently if all pups were so energetic. She tried to think back to Raela's children and found with slight alarm she could hardly remember what they looked like, never mind what they had acted like before she left. Pushing aside the old memories, Niita focused on the task at hand.

"If she doesn't like you, I don't really know what else you can do. Some women just won't like you in a romantic way Zeke," she admitted sympathetically.
The small growls and attacks on his leg didn't go unnoticed, but Ezekiel almost found that her wrestling tickled him. He fidgeted a bit as she worked her way up his leg to his back. For a moment he thought he was free as she started running in circles, but she leaped back onto him continuing her attack. All the while he listened to Niita. Her next statement really did suck, but he knew it would be true. However even if Valette didn't want to be courted, they could still get to know each other and become friends. He'd like it either way.

When finally Adeline settled down, she lay quietly at his feet, falling asleep. He glanced down at her, and let loose a small smile. He really did like the pup, and she seemed to like him back. When he realized that Niita was still there he looked back up with a flustered smile. Thanks for all the advice, you've been helpful. He dipped his head as a sign of gratitude, before another thought popped into his mind. It wasn't something he'd ever have expected he'd offer, but he found he wanted to. If you and Steady ever need any help watching Adeline, you know I'd be willing to take care of her.
Adeline didn't even know Niita was Steady's mate. She wasn't sure if that made her an aunt-like figure or not, given the pup didn't even see her that way. She liked Adeline, thought she was adorable and would do anything to protect her just like the rest of the pack. At the same time she didn't want to stick herself into Steady's family until Adeline knew. She was a bit flustered by Zeke's last comment, nodding in thanks.

She was sure that Zeke was about to leave, or at least his words indicated that he was. Niita picked up Adeline's moonstone and put inside the den before returning to her side and laying down to watch over the pup as she slept.
Last from me!

Niita didn't say another word, but nodded in understanding. That was enough for him. He looked down at Adeline and part of him was tempted to tap his nose to the girl's head. However Niita was here, and public displays of affection, in front of friends wasn't exactly his thing. However he did prod the pup closer to his friend and give Niita a farewell nod. His friend would make a good mother someday, and he could only hope that Steady and Niita would let him babysit their adorable kids.

Then the large wolf turned and left, heading back to his den to think about Valette and how on earth he was going to ask to court her!
Going to archive this here <3

Adeline slept soundly next to Ezekiel, at least until he moved. The loss of heat cause the pup to grumble in response, shifting around without opening her eyes. It wasn't until Niita came to her side that she settled down again, and went back to her nap.
