Not sure if this is the exact place they are at, but @Silence and @Aniu!

He needed a fresh are break. Yes, he hated the coast, so he would stay well away from the water, but the soft sand beneath his paws was nice. Spiderly legd of bunchgrass heavily populated the area, giving the landscape and tropical look, although there was no trees in sight. Eyes scowered the grasses for waterfowl, but he was presented with no luck for the time being.

With aching paws, the large man sunk to the ground for a rest, spreawling out on the white sand and hidden beside a large patch of beach grass. Seagulls cried above, and oceanic breeze carried grains of sand through the air, casting them upon Zaavier's pelt. Eyes narrowed to prevent any particles from reaching his eyes, but he gazed up at the blue sky peacefully.

He had finally found his home, a valley nistled in the mountain range. He could finally relax and think about what he was going to do with his pack. A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as thoughts and ideas whirled through his brain.
Aniu had let Silent rule the directions they went, certain there was order to the seemingly chaotic changes in direction. They found themselves along the coast once more, the breeze thick with salt and fish as they approached a sandy strip of beach coated in some spindly plant.

Aniu reached out, tapping Silent who was slightly ahead of her, pointing to the beach questioningly before heading down. The breeze shifted, bringing the scent of another wolf with it and Aniu paused in her steps. Her good eye flicked to Silent, unsure if her companion could fight or not.

With a shrug that looked more like she was rolling her shoulders in preparation, Aniu started forward once more after nudging Silent in caution. The male came into sight moments after, a tall fellow with reddish brown fur. Aniu chuffed to him loudly, calling out to see his intentions as the duo came to a stop. She didn't bother angling her head to look at him or to hide her deformities, Aniu stared straight on with her good eye locked to the stranger.
Silence wasn't sure what was pulling her. It wasn't a scent or a sight she had seen, she certainly wasn't being led by one of her other senses. There was just something, an instinct maybe. Whatever it was, the wolfdog was resigned to follow it until she found whatever it was.

Silence turned to Aniu, watching as she gestured to the beach questioningly. Silence nodded and followed down after her friend. The beach was sandy of course with spidery plants dotting it. It had been awhile since Silence had been so close to the ocean, rushing forward into the gentle waves with the enthusiasm of a pup and snapping at the water.

It was when she turned that she noticed the red male further down the beach, just as the wind shifted and brought his scent. Silence hurried back to Aniu's side as the disfigured woman seemed to prepare for a possible fight.

Silence could see Aniu's mouth move but not in talking, so she too let out a noise. It might not have been a bark but it was loud and got the point across.
Two barks caught his attention, and Zaavier's large head lifted from the sand. He peered over the clump of bunchgrass, brown gaze landing on two wolves. One was very unique looking, with a cloudy eye and half an ear. The other was doggish looking and didn't look to have any deformities. Tail gave a couple thumps on the ground before the creature got to his paws, shaking the sand from his coat.

"Hello," he barked, easily stepping over a patch of spindly grass. He towered over the two, and his stance was dominant yet unthreatening as he closed the gap between them. He gazed at each wolf before speaking again. "M' Zaavier," he said, tail tip twitching as he awaited the two's reactions.
Aniu restrained a growl as he moved closer, his stance dominant. She could be friendly but if he expected submission this male had another thing coming. Unless he managed to make himself her leader or Alpha someway, she didn't owe him anything. Her tail raised of its own accord, her head lifting to be as tall as possible.

"I'm Aniu. This is Silent," she introduced them after he brought up his name. "She doesn't speak. Or hear," she informed him, deciding to get it out in the open before they could speak about anything else.
