Avannon startled awake, her sleep filled senses struggling to Pinpoint the reason for the disturbance. She blinked her eyes and sniffed the air, a gasp leaving her maw as she realized what had started. She jumped to her paws as quietly as possible, and tucked her tail between her hind legs, trying to hide the sickeningly sweet stench that drifted from below. She crept out of the den, knowing if she stayed, everyone would find out and chaos would erupt, her being the center of it. She didnt want to leave the territory, but she knew it might be needed. Climbing up the small slope out of the lair, she breathed in the fresh night air, though the pause was only briefly. She quickly padded away from the den, as noiselessly as possible, blue eyes scanning and searching for a place to hide on the territory, but not near the main part. She whimpered as instincts told her to head back and satisfy the sweet burning sensation, and she almost did she turned her head back toward the lair. There was only one male she would even think about choosing, but he was lost to everyone at the moment and she would not risk another injury this soon. She would let him fight it out, fight the demons. She deeply ached for the male who she didnt even know well, yet felt herself connected to. it was probably one sided anyway, the foolish love of a pup. She focused her mind and quickly resumed her path, keeping her pawsteps as light as possible, as she seeked shelter. A jolt of pain went through her injured leg, and she stumbled, falling over and breaking a stick, and crashing into the undergrowth. Ears flat against her head she got to her paws yet again, holding up her injured leg as she tried to get further away. panic gripped her as she knew she had just made enough noise to scare prey for miles, and to draw attention as well.
Just jumping in here, though Jolon won't try anything with his broken leg and shame :) EDIT!: I just noticed she didn't actually go up, my mistake! Now it's just Jolon's mistake, lol.

It had been a while since the first day under Asterr's care. The pain had ebbed away slowly with time, but never truly disappeared. When Asterr was off doing her things, he thought about all he had done and more. Vector hadn't showed up anymore, and his dreams were calm and sometimes even quiet. It seemed the raging fire inside of him had finally died down like a dead sun, now just giving off a nice warm glow of the friendliness Jolon always carried with him deep within. He had thought about talking to Asterr, but hadn't quite gathered the courage, despite the normal chitchat that went on whenever Asterr was treating him. He had broken their bond of trust and friendship- no, Vector had done it, though he took the blame. He would fix it, he was sure of it, and he would also find Avannon to apologize.

That night he woke up with determination from an inspirational dream, his leg strong enough to sort of stumble and hink around a bit- though he knew not to take it too far. He would just go walk around for a bit, to stretch his other limbs- which was also sort of important. The moment he was outside though; it hit him like a truck. It was the same sickening scent Asterr had carried with her on the day he broke his leg, and that made him afraid. His ears swiveled around- there was definitely noise coming from somewhere. On the roof, nearby? Well, how in the name of God was he going to get up there? How would he ever find her without waking the others? He had a feeling it was Avannon, the scent revealing this too, and he dearly wanted to talk to her.

Avannon? He called out, his normal voice loud and clear. He would check up first, he decided. The trail she had left behind led him to the path he thought she had taken to go up, and there he stood for a while. He placed his forelimbs a place higher, followed by his hind limb that wasn't broken, trying to lift himself up. Slowly but surely he got the hang of it, putting as much pressure on his three good legs to let his broken one rest. He was only half way up when he started to panic, thinking she was already gone and he could never catch up with her. Avannon! He then shouted in distress, his broken limb held high in the air as he stood there in an uncomfortable position.
I can backdate this thread so that they conversed  while she was still there.

Avannon heard jolon's cry and paused in her escape, heart thudding in her chest as she fought against the urge to run. Taking a steadying breathe she limped back to the top of the hill, cobalt eyes staring down at him. She kept her distance this time a wave of hurt flitting across her gaze though she smiled down at him "Jolon. Glad to see you up. You called for me are you alright?" she asked taking a few steps forward wondering if he was hurt and needed her assistance.
Bright silver eyes stared up with hope she would indeed show up, but perhaps he was being too naive. She was probably mad at him, and for them not being good friends, Jolon was surprised to feel him saddened by that thought. He guessed he didn't deserve to be sad after sending her off while she just wanted to help, but everyone was selfish some time in their life. He just wished he could separate himself from duty and honor, but that was easier said than done. Especially for a traumatized little shit like himself.

The reflection of Avannon sparkled in his eyes that were starting to form tears, a small smile on his lips when he realized she had come back. Balancing on three legs, he looked up, the moonlight behind her like she was some kind of goddess. You... You came back. He whispered softly, more talking to himself than to her.

Avannon, please come down, I won't try anything, I promise. It would nearly be impo- His sentence was cut off by one of his paws slipping, making him slide down slowly and carefully. It scared him anyway, and he let out a manly shriek in the process as his hard work had been for nothing now.
Avannon's eyes stared at the male she had been drawn to since her arrival in Ryujin, and hurt have way to warmth and curiosity. "you came back" the words hit her ears and she sighed rolling her eyes an amused light glinting in her eyes. Of course she came back. She would always come back even if it killed her.

"I came back." She said softly, the words warm with the forgiveness she had already given him. She gasped as she watched him stumble and slide down the hill wincing at the ungodly shriek he made. She limped down the hill and stood over him, shoulders trembling with the effort to withold her giggles. Finally a snort escaped her and She grinned "I know you won't. Are you alright jolon? Can you get up?" she asked concerned. She kept her voice hushed so as not to wake up anyone else.
He had gotten sort of used to the sweet smell, only his nose twitching and his lower zone feeling hot, but for the rest being able to control himself like a real man. Perhaps if they did grow close, he'd let go of himself and claim her, but with a broken heart and leg- doing it now would be difficult; impossible even. He was not here to satisfy his sexual needs anyway- he was here as a friend to apologize for Vector's wrongdoings.

She sounded so sweet, so forgiving that Jolon almost forgot he had a broken leg and was inches away from a painful fall that would simply shatter his broken limb. Only as she came down did he truly realize what had happened, and he stumbled backwards a few paces before she got to him. He wondered what was so amusing about a wounded man sliding down a hill, but he decided it didn't matter. He was glad he could amuse her at all after what had happened.

I'm fine- really this time. He said, sounding more sure of himself. He lifted his heavy black body up with a soft grunt. She was so close now that he could almost feel the hotness leaking out of her flower and body as a whole, but he would not give in. He made his choices now- not some insane psychopath. I just wanted to apologize- somewhere I knew deep down you were trying to help, but I couldn't win- I couldn't beat whatever had been in my body.
Avannon listened silently to the apologetic words, her face showing little emotion until he had finished. Staying silent for a moment, just for dramatic tension really, her eyes remained on his face. She gazed deep into his eyes seeing that whatever had gained control over jolon had gone away for now and hopefully for good. "With all the good love does bring it can also bring demons. Demons that blind You, demons that slowly kill you" she spoke slowly as she tried to find the right words. "And speaking as one who knows, sometimes it's easier to forget reality and give in to the demons. I don't blame you. It wasn't you Who hurt me, there is no grudge or negative feelings against you. I shouldn't have forced myself on you like that.."  she said regret and guilt flashing in her gaze. She wagged her tail slowly and smiled at him "I'm just glad that you came back.." She said and if she could've blushed she probably would've.
When he was done talking, he bit his lip, not sure if she fully believed him. His ears started to droop when she didn't say anything for a moment, resembling a pancake as they were halfway down. Not even with Ezimette could he stare into her eyes for this long- but perhaps that was the heat's fault. His grey eyes lit up as she talked-finally, did the woman want him to have a heart attack?!-.

I've called him Vector. He said, sort of randomly. It had helped though, naming the evil being inside of him, and ever since he hadn't seen or felt Vector around. She told him she was sorry too. No, no I'm glad you did. I-If you hadn't, I probably wouldn't have crashed the party when Asterr returned. It was a weird explanation, but it was true. Perhaps Avannon had woken him up just enough to let him be taken care of, and he was doing a lot better ever since.

He stepped forward, wrapping his head around her neck in a sudden embrace. They hadn't started on the right paw, but maybe this could be a new start.
Avannon surely would've blushed now, as he credited her with helping him. She smiled and ducked her head ears swiveling as her expression turned bashful. She blanched as jolon moved forward embracing her. She stiffened briefly but then completely relaxed burying her nose in his fur and leaning into him. She sighed softly and closed her eyes " I'm sorry all this happened to you...I'm here for you, no matter how down you may feel. You have me. Even though we don't know each other very well I hope we can become close" she said softly her voice filled with hope.
He grinned just slightly as he saw how sheepish she looked. Even when he hugged her he could feel her tensed muscles, but he blamed her heat for that. Never would the idea of Avannon having a crush on him cross his mind, not after what Vector had done to her- but the idea shot through him when she began embracing him as well, burying his own nose into her fur as well.

I don't just go hugging everybody, you know? This is a good step forward... He said, voice just a little muffled as he tried to talk like this, muzzle all snuggled into her snow fur- quite the opposite of his own color scheme. And if Avannon thought that the heat was making him hug her- she was dead wrong. After the incident, he really wasn't in the mood or physical shape to even think of trying something.
Avannondrew in his scent once more before parting remaining close but not enough for contact. She grinned at his words about not being the huggy type and chuckled " well I'm glad you hugged me. I have to go for a while...I'm sure you know why" she said her voice turning serious as she cast a quick glance over her shoulder up the hill that she would exit from. Silently she promised herself she wouldn't mate with anyone.
Hugging someone after so long felt weirdly nice, unnatural yet at the same time mandatory. He felt almost sad as she pulled away, a bit startled as he was missing out on quite some sleep lately. She didn't want her going away, not like this. He sighed. Just promise you won't give yourself to anyone. I don't know how Asterr will feel about you having pups, and I don't want you to lose your first litter. He explained softly, knowing what would happen of the children of a mother that wasn't the alpha. He was sure Asterr wasn't that kind of wolf, but you never knew.
Her heart jumped at his request and she dated to wonder if he might like her too. Scolding herself after he stated his reason for asking her to remain unclaimed she nodded "trust me...there is nobody out there that I would give myself to" she said softly hoping he wouldn't figure out the reason why. She smiled confidently " anyone who tries will be told off. Asterr comes first, I wouldn't interfere with her litter"  she assured him even though for a split second she yearned for her own pups. Another time...I am young, I will have many opportunities she comforted herself. " I'll be back when it's over" she murmured already missing him and her new home.
Oh how badly he wanted to be there to protect her- perhaps claim her if she was into it, but he couldn't. He had wounded himself by protecting Asterr, he would not yet die for Avannon. The thought almost made him giggle. Just days ago he had asked to be killed, and now here he was, thinking he could escape death as a whole. Be strong out there. I... I won't be able to protect. He said with a soft, subtle glance at his broken limb. If she would let him, he'd give her a final hug. Goodbye for now. He said with a slight smile, not admitting yet that he would really miss her. After her farewells, he'd leave to go back to sleep.
Avannon smiled and nodded "I will. I...is it wrong to admit I'll miss you?" she dared to ask, her ears going back for a moment as she asked, the words coming out nervously. She didn't wait for him to answer instead rushing forward embracing him, resting her head against his neck, chin leaning on his shoulder. She sighed happily and removed her head stepping back a few feet before sipping her head to Jin and running up the hill. She flicked her tail silently saying goodbye before running off.
