Hunger was a violent and all-consuming thing. The Rinn that once was seemed to have passed away in light of the starvation she now faced. The hunger had eaten up all that it could reach, and the woman now felt devoid of all muscle, all fat, all compassion, all reason. All there was was hunger, and hunger was all she was.

Hunger crept along the ground, stalking whatever meat-scent had gotten caught up in its nares. It'd been too weak in its sickness to hunt for weeks, now, surviving only on what had stumbled onto its path. Whatever illness had claimed it had left, now, but malnutrition remained.

If the hunger was not saited, it would die.
it had been long since she had scented the aurma of wildcat, longer still since she had ever fought such a creature. she hardly remembered the time, and yet the scent suddenly thick around her brought back hazy memories of a battle; shortlived yet brutal. she was wary, falling still as her ears swivled atop her skull and gaze flickered between the trees, attempting to gauge it's location and whether or not it would be a threat.

she did not know of the immense hunger that made the wildcat of so dangerous, nor they way it stalked; clearly in search of prey. had she known such, she would in all likelyhood have run, for hunger was a deadly variable that increased the feriocity of an opponent. especially when one could very well be it's next meal.
When a creature almost as large as itself came into view, the hunger seemed to abate long enough to Rinn to doubt herself. It was a wolf that she'd tracked down, and not a mindless prey animal. She'd never hunted something that ate the same meats that she did - something about it seemed wrong. Perverse. Little did she know, the same hunger she resisted now would soon cause her to tear into another.

For now, though, Rinn was unaware. Jupiter eyes zeroed in on the pale wolf, and the cat knew already that she was in no state to fight off the healthier creature, let alone make a meal out of her.

Hoping she'd not been seen, Rinn began to creep away from the scene, searching too desparately for suitble prey to worry too much about being discrete. Soon enough, she'd forgotten there was something out there she was trying to avoid.
Hunger did not gnaw at her than, nor did the desire to take on a wildcat with no indication of it's current state. Thus she waited, still, until the scent faded and she had determined the wildcat had gone. She would perhaps warn her Lady, of this sighting, for the pups were far from taking on a wildcat.

thus she spun on her heel with haste, noting the direction the cat seemed to have gone in before slipping back to her Isle home, a warning for her Lord and Lady on her lips.
