@Heartha. In regards to Midwifery.
There is no light which compares to that of a mother's eye the first time she hears her child.
The worst of it was over. Eden's life was beginning to find a balance, for each loss had come with new life. Her own pregnancy was just reaching the middle stages, but those of her family had progressed into life. Though Heartha was the only wolf Eden was responsible for in a vocational sense, all six of the royal children called for her attention. The only hurdle was battling their mothers on the subject.
Despite her place being outside of the tunnels, Eden found herself traveling more often since the birth of Heartha's twins. Today she came with parsley and borage - the same mix she'd given Aspen just days before. As she peeked into the den, she eyed the two bodies wriggling beside Heartha's, whining quietly.
I brought you some things. They're adorable, Heartha. You did good.

Eden's voice barely even made a whisper, as not only did she want to avoid upsetting the small gathering, but she also wanted to keep her choked voice to herself. Her hormones had been unpredictable in this stage, thus tears had been much more common than she liked.
Pushing the border altercation to the back of his mind, Alder set off to do what he'd been doing originally - both Heartha and Aspen had a large fish each with their names on it. As usual, he stopped on the way to his wife to see Heartha, @Tulip, and @Bramble: he was glad to smell Eden's scent fresh in the tunnels - she hadn't yet gone to Aspen.

The King was not shy in striding in, only offering a chuff of announcement to his midwife before dropping the sole fish at Heartha's paws - without yet a word to her yet, his blue eye fell hard on the pregnant woman, tail even rising over his back.

                            "You'll leave whatever you two agree on for Aspen in here - I'll pick it up and take it to her myself each night. Until you've got your trade and we've had the next ceremony, I don't want to scent you anywhere else."

As when he'd warned her at Sun Mote Copse, his words were perhaps a bit too harsh, and he did not apologize for having to bolden his laws - they were there for a reason. However, after he was done, his gaze softened - he didn't want to be the bad guy.

                                                                      "It's nothing personal, just the laws Aspen and I have created for our family. I want you to spend time with your mate, get ready for the coming months."

Bramble isn't an herb, it was borage ;)
Ahh! Thanks for reminding me! This was kind of rushed lol.
Although Eden was slightly taken aback, she understood Alder's words. That isn't to say that they didn't affect her. Though her voice had become slightly choked with the various emotions flowing through her - joy, confusion, sadness, and of course hunger - Eden made her response. Yes, my apologies, sire. I'll be going now.
With a smile and a respectful bow, Eden turned and slowly began making her way out of the tunnels. She knew the time would come when she'd be checked for her trespassing, though it still saddened her to leave the pups and Heartha behind her.
