It had taken some time but Twix was able to get through her mindless wandering, has had a few meals and plenty of water, and while she doesn’t feel perfect, she simply feels better. Her weight had dropped and she’d noticed a new pudge in her belly in the last day or so since she’d gotten some food in her stomach. Her days are still filled with thoughts of Mars while she occasionally gets a reprieve in short bursts.

Winter is just around the corner and Twix knows she needs to find a place to settle with easy access to the things she needs but she can’t explain what has pulled her back north. Perhaps where her brother is buried so she can visit or even perhaps the boy of a wolf that has put up with her every time she’s been around him.

In an attempt to shrug it off, Twix moves along the bank of the river in her new search. She drifts away from the bank once she spots a log on the ground, hallowed out and lengthy. Her tail bristles as she bounces over on all fours before picking herself up nearby and using her hands to touch the outside to test its resistance to a stronger force. Eventually, she makes her way inside and out, giving it a rather detailed attention as she keeps herself distracted.
Mind if I pop in? :s

Goliath, for the first time in what seemed to be forever, took a trip to the river that he had visited nearly every day before he left. It was winter, so although he knew that if he went to fish, he wasn't very keen on standing with all fours in ice-cold water for several hours at a time right now, but he was certainly up to the task of assessing the water way.

He started from the beggining, and inspected for any ice clots, clogs or beaver dams that might be obstructing the flow from the lake, and headed downwards. He was on the look out for any eggs or dead fish that could indicate a broken birth cycle or disease, but was pleased to find that the waterway was quite intact, despite a worrying amount of invasive trout showing up, making it possible to wreck havoc for any other freshwater fish.

Keeping that as a mental note, he pushed forwards until he caught sight of a small, strange creature rustling and tussling with a stray log.

Suspicous, yet curious- Goliath showed no sign of walking away at such a strange occurance- and began to stomp forwards. "HALT, You is strange!" he boomed, stating even he knew was the obvious. "What is do here?!" he roared once more, his giant, lumbering body traveling forwards.
She’s mid-thought about her findings when the voice makes the entire world vibrate. She squeaks, gasps, and jumps on top of the log and to the other side without a second thought. Spinning around to look at what has come upon her, her eyes widen in surprise. Her mouth hangs open as all of her fur bristles at once but she knows she isn’t much of a threat for a behemoth like this. Carefully, she looks to either side of the log for which may be fast to jump through should she need to get away, but for the time being she hisses and outstretches her fingers as threateningly as she can.
