She had traveled for days, tirelessly trying to reach the mountains. But every step she took seemed like she was making no progress in her travels. She couldn't lose hope, not now, she had come so far. She traveled through the night, blanketed by night while stars guided her home. However, dawn began to break as the sun screamed a cry of resurrection and glory. Slowly, it began its' climb over the mountains, but it remained half-hidden in the peaks for quite some time. Krypton marveled at the beauty, seeing the array of beautiful colors that faded into the sky.

The flaming pearl sparked and danced, its' luminous beams of light began to grow and illuminate the land. Krypton stopped to observe the sunrise; this sunrise was the first sunrise she stopped to enjoy in several months. She let out a breath, feeling it fog in her face. A strange calm overcame her, filling her with a quiet determination. The wolf heeded the call, feeling the sun's rays warm her body like a child snuggling in a blanket.

She ached, yes, but her drive was stronger than the pain she felt. She pushed on through the open area, seeing birds fly past her and some elk move around carefree, their heads glued to the ground, searching for fine grass to eat. Krypton licked her chops, her stomach giving off another growl.

"No," she thought to herself. "I need to reach Silvertip, not indulge as a glutton. Move on."

And she did.
