Chessur trotted across the rocky terrain, her weary paws ready for rest but her heart urged her onward. She had been traveling for a few weeks now, down south to find Drageda. She'd left behind even her brother, her closest friend, all in the name of loyalty to her Heda. The fact that she had left behind so much only spurred her on more, for if she failed to find Drageda, what a disgrace she'd be, and everything she gave up would be in vain. Determination in her eyes, she carried on, pushing harder now.

Soon she came to a border, the scent of wolves thick in the air. From further inspection, she found familiar scents all along the way. She smiled, relief flooding through her veins. She'd found Drageda. Thoughts buzzed through her head. Other than her Heda, who else had found their way home? Unable to wait any longer, the rusty golden female raised her muzzle to the sky and let out a long howl for her clan. Hoping they would welcome her with open arms.
assuming he would know her from seageda and trigeda! correct me if im wrong <3

While the howl was not exactly meant for him, Tanja happen to be in the area when the call went up summoning his leaders. And seeing how he was in the neighborhood, the man figured he might as well drop by to keep the possible new recruit some company. Though in all honesty, he was simply curious to see who exactly would be calling, especially since the news of Heda claiming Drageda had probably reached the ends of the earth by now.

Yet despite knowing that it could very well be an old companion of his, Tanja was still surprised to see a familiar face among the borders. "Chessur" he called out, her features easily memorable. "What brings you to Drageda?" He assumed she was here to join judging by her howl, but he was anxious to find out if she brought any news from Trigeda as well. Either way, he was glad to have her here for however long she remained and made sure to greet her with as much kindness as he was capable of.
correct! <3 edit: sorry I'm experimenting with B code so my post format will probably be really inconsistent :))

The figure that she saw coming over the ridge wasn't who she'd been hoping for, but it was a surprise. And a good surprise at that. She couldn't be sure until the larger man spoke, and then a smile lit the younger girl's face. Tanja. She closed the distance towards him and bowed her head in respect. Her ears perked at his question, she lifted her golden gaze to meet his. News came to Trigeda that our Heda had claimed new territory in the south. I would follow her rule anywhere, so I felt I had to come. My brother stayed behind, but he should be coming soon.

She offered Tanja a small smile, she was so glad to see him. A question popped into her brain and she had to ask. Has anyone else found Drageda?
An unusual smile beamed bright across the man's typical stoic face as he watched the young female bow her head to him. "It is good to see you here and in good health, but you must be tired from your journey, please sit!" He would not force her to stand for a lowly kru such as himself and if he had the authority he would have invited her past the borders and given her a meal and place to rest before urging her to answer any questions. However seeing as how he had no such power, Tanja figured the least he could do was let her relax among the borders.

"I am sure Angelov will be joining us soon enough. Heda will be looking forward to both you and your brother's arrival" or at least he hoped she would be. With the recent events of both Freyja and Wildfire, Tanja was not entirely sure how Heda was coping with all of the incidents. However he assumed a new recruit, especially one from Trigeda, would lift the commander's spirits. "Gavriel is here as well as Rebekka, but the others...they are not from our former home."
Chessur watched as Tanja smiled, which came almost as a surprise to her. She was known to smile once and a while, but to see the older Gona smile was rare. She couldn't help but smile back, though she tried her best to remain looking professional. She sometimes felt that smiling was a childish thing, and she was almost an adult. Not quite but almost, and she preferred maturity. She nodded to his proposition, wriggling her curvy hips before sitting them upon the ground. She looked up at Tanja and listened with excitement as he spoke of her brother. "Yes he better be here soon, or I'll have to drag his ass down here." She joked a little, but was also quite serious. If her older brother didn't get here soon, she'd begin to worry.

Tanja answered her question, and Suri was glad to hear about Gavriel and Rebekka, but didn't like the idea of outsiders in Drageda. Her mahogany tipped ear twitched, her discontent clear though she did her best to hide it. "Does Heda trust them? These outsiders?" She asked, for as long as Thuringwethil trusts them, she would have to grin and bear it.
There is a familiarity in the call that gives her enough interest to pull herself away from her mate. She checks in on her several times throughout the day before she returns to the borders but this time she moves with purpose and direction. With their increased border patrol since Wildfire's attack, she isn't surprised to find another—especially Tanja—greeting Chessur. The familiar call is likely enough to draw attention to those from Seageda, or Trigeda, and as relieved as she is to find someone she knows, her outward appearance doesn't reflect it anymore than if the girl was a stranger.

"Chessur," she calls, looking at her with scrutiny. Other than looking travel weary, she's in one piece, and she closes the rest of the distance until she's an equal distance from the both of them. "Are you here to stay?" she asks with a slight flick of her ears, cupped forward in attention. Now that their bond with Trigeda has reformed and their connection strong, perhaps a message is being delivered, but there is no visible guard with her. Perhaps, then, she is to stay, which she welcomes just as easily.
portia cameo! she'll be in the background, so don't wait on me to post.

Portia really had no business at the borders-- it was pure curiosity that drew her there today. In her jaws she held a bundle of basil, green eyes scanning the area before her as she went. The call brought her to the borders, though her Heda and a man who she'd only met in passing-- his name slipped her mind. She had missed the part of the conversation where the stranger asked if Thuringwethil trusted them... had she heard she may have given the woman a piece of her mind. She stood in the background and studied the situation, mere curiosity leaving her to stay and listen. If Heda would turn to look at her, she'd give her a respectful head dip, but would otherwise remain silent and observant.
feel free to skip me!

It truly brought the older man joy to be in the presence of someone he considered his friend, especially since he had not exactly connected with the wolves of Drageda yet. "From what I can tell, she does" was his answer regarding whether or not Heda trusted the wolves here. Tanja could not fully understand why Heda would be so easily trusting of them even if they had been loyal to her. Take Goliath for example, he was trusted among their ranks but even still he attack one of his own. No matter how faithful they seemed, Tanja would never believe their hearts would be truly loyal.

His ears swiveled atop his head as he heard his commander's approach and the man quickly stood from his position so that he could greet her a dip of his head. While he was confident Heda could handle the situation from here, Tanja remained simply due to being curious, but also so that he could offer Chessur moral support over anything else.
Tanja's response to her question was a bit comforting, but it would still bother her just a bit that non Seageda and Trigeda wolves would be allowed in their territory. Geda wolves were tightly knit, and generally very secretive. She'd always found letting outsiders in to be a reckless and foolish idea, for she was a cautious girl. However she would learn to live with them, if she wanted to stay here, and she knew it. Who Heda trusts, I will at least try to get along with. But I won't like it. She sighed, swishing her long puffy tail around on the ground behind her.

It wasn't much longer before two more wolves came into view. One that didn't look familiar, who she scrutinized over for details before turning to scan the other. Her big golden eyes brightened at the sight of Thuringwethil, her Heda at last. The woman greeted her by calling her name, and Chessur bowed her head to her in pure respect. She'd always felt very loyal to Thuringwethil, even through every mistake made. Heda. She greeted the dark wolf before answering her question. I am. Word got to me that you'd reclaimed land, I felt obligated to come join you. Angelov is coming as well, hopefully soon. She said almost report like. She felt the need to be more formal with her Heda than she had with a closer friend such as Tanja.
There is little need for the long, drawn out process of figuring out Chessur's use. Her fighting skills are not questionable for she's seen them in use, as well as her older brother, so she has no desire to try and have her tell them all. The wolves from their clan know already and shell acclimate herself well. It gives her a little more balance, too, to have Chessur. It is not that she does not love the others, for they've made room within her, but the nostalgic drawn they have gives her a better sense of home.

"Good," she says with a quick shake of her flagged tail, arched over her back. "You're just in time for Wintam Dina," she adds with a quirk of her lips before she lets the emotion fade. In the next few days, despite recent incidents, they will come together once more on a proper note to welcome the next season. The elk has grown a little weaker since when they found him and their hunters have already come together.

She lifts one brow as she glances between the two, deciding she needed to return.

"Tanja, will you show her around?" she asks with a knowing look. Fill her in. She'd been in the middle of something when the call had been made and should she find Chessur later without being brief, she'd fill her in then.
last post for me! Tanja you can post again or archive <3

And with that she was in. She nodded her head and smiled at the mention of Wintam Dina. While she wasn't the best hunter around, she wasn't bad either, and the idea of a ground hunt where she might come across more familiar faces, it made Drageda feel more like home already. I am honored to join you. She added formally, honored to join the clan, and the hunt. Honored to be with her Heda once again. Thuringwethil asked Tania to show her around, and she knew that the joining process had come to an end. She stood, turning to face Tanja and awaiting his answer. She didn't doubt that he would show her around, and she was more than ready to see her new home.
He remained by his friend's side until she was officially accepted and then moved to offer her a friendly nudge to the shoulder to congratulate her. He gave a single nod when asked to fill her in and turned to head in the direction of the Greyser feild where he would begin his tour and eventually finish at the rendezvous site. "Shall we?" he asked before beginning the trek to the springs. He had so much to ask her and even more to fill her in on. The man was just pleased to have somebody else from Trigeda here with him and he couldn't wait to see if more planned to join them in the future.
