The night was young as Freyja found herself following the trail of a rat and despite the dropping temperatures, she was quite enjoying the thrill that the tracking was bringing her.  The moon was just raising in the sky as she slunk about. Upon the occasional glance about, Freyja had determined that she was alone. Despite the turmoil that had occurred with Goliath just the day before. The fallout of it all was still fresh in her mind, and, she felt her guard raise as she was alone.

As she transcended the mountainside a creeping suspicion overcame her and for whatever reason she began to frequently check over her shoulder to see if anybody was there. Her heart began to race and eventually, the fear of being watched caused her to stop a really survey the area. There was a sense of panic about her gaze as it bounced around the empty clearing. There was no underbrush for anything to hide in, nor were there any shadows. As far as Freyja could see, it was just her, the trace of the rat’s trail, and the moon.

But even with these concrete facts why did she feel the way that she did?

A mist rolled in as she considered her feelings and wondered why they were happening and soon enough it settled thickly around her ankles and covered the ground completely. She set her eyes in the distance and allowed them to linger. As she did this, a wolf-like form rose from the mist. Her heart froze as she watched the tendrils of mist reach from the ground to shape the form, creating something that was much larger than the average wolf. A pair of hazel eyes peeked from. Her heart was racing now and her fur stood on end as she realized that she knew who lingered just beyond her.

If there was need for a clarification, a booming voice came to Freyja in way of a warning and as it sounded, her heart sunk.

"Do not tell other, or Goliath finish what Goliath start."

She woke with a start within the family den, scrambling helplessly onto her paws before racing out of the den. Tears welled in her eyes as she pushed herself into the open. Though she was not sure just where he was going, all she knew was that she needed to get as far away from the den as possible.
