Back, somehow, where it all began.

While she avoided the places that were full of bad memories— and the Wilds were full of them— she had managed to return to the Sunspire, once. Perhaps it was because of Summer, the man that was the lantern within her darkness, that she could face the particular demons that resided there. Or perhaps it was that those hadn't been demons after all, or that she didn't think of it as the worst time in her life any longer. It had brought her to him.

This was harder, but Magpie thought it was necessary to the process of overcoming her shit and truly becoming what she was supposed to— if you believed in destiny and all that. She was beginning to understand that although her half-sister (and many half- and quarter-relatives by extension) was a common thread in her life, that didn't particularly mean she was a particularly important one.

That was a freeing thought.

She sighed contentedly, casually relieving herself on what she told herself was once Fox's favorite place to sleep. That felt good, too.
