Freya had been away from the pack for sometime and she assumed she had missed muchin her absence. Snow now covered the ground and the white shine against the sun matched that of her pelt. She wanted to speak to the pack members. Learn if anyone new had joined their ranks and over know what happened in her absence.

Short and sweet start
Aspen ventured out of the tunnels on one of her many trips into the outside world now that her pups were old enough to be let be for some time on their own. They had been resting when she had gotten up to leave and retrieve some meat for them to eat. She was gradually trying to get them adjusted to the concept of eating meat instead of her milk knowing full well she would not be producing milk for them much longer.

Some took to the meat well, others.....not so much. The child she was most worried about was Rose, she refused the concept of meat every time it was brought up to her and Aspen couldn't help but fear that when she stopped producing milk the child wouldn't eat.

Aspen trailed into the forest keeping eyes and ears open for the sound of animals scurrying around in the freshly fallen snow. Though what she ended up finding was not in fact food but a familiar face. Freya. Seems her and Shalon had both returned recently from there travels and the Queen was curious to see how it went. The now slender and not pregnant looking female trotted over letting out a friendly chuff as she approached.
As Freya walked she head a noise and turned towards it. Luckily it was Freya's Queen Aspen, looking slender and far more sturdy then she had been during and right after her pregnancy. Freya smiled to her queen and complimented her form. "Greeting my queen. You are looking well, much more slim." Nodding to her before speaking to her.

She wanted to greet the queen before delving into any news she might have missed.
Aspen smiled warmly and dipped her head at the white wolf's compliment. "Why thank you Freya," she mused. "I feel alot better, less groggy and grumpy. You missed my zombie phase," she said with a soft chuckle. 'There were four of them in there. No wonder I was so big," she added with yet another chuckle and a slight roll of her eyes.

"It's good to have you back Freya. How was your trip? Were you able to get the alliance with Silvertip?" she said with a questioning tilt to her head. They had been gone a fair amount of time which begged the question how things went. If it had gone as expected the trip really only should have taken just over a week. But they were gone two and a bit.
