Spring was nearly in full force, and it reigned supreme through the forest that the dark figure now traipsed through. Thick moss grew up the sides of trees, fresh shoots that resembled garlic and wild onion peppered the hillsides, and there were even a few bumbling bees cavorting through the air - bumping in to one another, or in to the folds of flowers. Having been rejuvenated since his encounter with the like-minded Lasher, the boy had been disinclined to leave; however, he did eventually slink from sight of the other wolf.

Tiarnan wove between the trees of Neverwinter - not knowing its history, nor even the name that it carried with it - and in his haste he kicked through a few patches of flowers. One of which buzzed and erupted with a very large, very unfriendly, perturbed wasp. Tiarnan wasn't paying attention as he thrust himself along - not until the bug landed and began to sting him. YOW! the boy barked, his voice curdling as he yanked his head around, trying to find the culprit of this most heinous of offences - and the wasp, readying it's rear-end-weapon again, landed square on his nose. Where it shoved its shank-bum in to his tender nose.

Lunar had been following the boundaries of Silvertip Mountain, leaving her scent hear and there when needed to keep the borders freshly marked. After she was sure everything was secured, she decided to go for a stroll. Lunar was still somewhat new but had the upper rank of a Zeta. She had a reputation to build to prove to her Alpha that she has what it takes. She had a kind soul but new that was not what her Alpha Jinx wanted in her pack. She wanted cold hearted killers. Lunar huffed at the thoughts 'jeeze Lunar get yourself together or you will get yourself killed'

Her splotched fur blew in the slight breeze that kicked up, disturbing the pollonating bees. Lunar's ears pricked at the sound of a strange wolf yelping from what she could only imagine as a bee sting. Her bright eyes surveyed the area until the landed on the russet pelt of Tiarnán. She watched for a moment before striding over to him. Lunar was about to speak before she caught sight of the pestering wasp. She knew the young wolf was lucky that she had found him vs Jinx.

She moved in closer and snapped at the wasp as it stung his sensitive nose. Lunar caught the dang thing but before it got crushed between her teeth it managed to sting her lower lip. Her face scrunched up as she spit the vile critter out and stepped back, leaving a good 5 foot gap between her and Tiernán. She mustered up her dignity and fought back a wince as she softly but sternly spoke. " My name is Lunar. You are close to a pack border. You are lucky i found you. If the Alpha had caught scent of you, well... lets say you would never have the chance to get stung again" She swallowed hard trying to keep stern but failed. Lunar studied the wolfs face " Are you alright? Yellow jackets can be quite mean"
Initially the boy was stupefied, but it wasn't long before his flesh began to swell with the burning of the tiny sting. It should have been easily ignored. The wasp was insistent - apparently loathing wolves - and it buzzed around the boy's head no matter where he tossed himself. Preoccupied by this, Tiarnan did not notice the stranger approach - but he caught her scent, which mingled with a familiar aroma and made his spine prickle. The stranger was close in the next instant, almost atop him, and snapping her teeth.

Naturally, the boy resisted. He buckled down and lifted lip, exposing a defensive grimace that was further soured by the growing itch of his nose; the stranger's voice caught in his ears as he turned to look upon her, and the chasm that separated them. It was enough to ease some of the tension in his body but Tiarnan did not relent in his posturing - his tail lashed with irritation, and his grimace only shrank to a tight-lipped frown.

Her words meant nothing to him, but he was quick enough to catch some terms - Jinx being a prime one, although the mention of the pack did not ease the idiot's nerves. She had saved him from a pest, but that didn't make her an ally.
