@Akuti and/or any other Morningsider! <3

Adeline still misses home, misses her father the most and the thought of him alone is enough to set her mood but the last few days have gotten easier. The loneliness she felt since leaving her home has begun to fade with the constant presence of Grayday. She’s able to walk the cuesta with a little more confidence, with purpose, and she knows that he’ll be there every night if she hasn’t run across him during the day. She is more interactive with Sunny and Dawn too, having missed their little, growing faces as she’d become a recluse. Now, she hopes it’ll all change for the better.

She’d spent little time with the other wolves that have become followers of Grayday and she realizes she knows so little about everything and everyone. It is early in the morning as she moves through the territory, uncertain of what to do. Her friend had been long gone since the day broke and she’d been left to her own devices for a while. The grumble in her stomach and the dryness in her mouth, however, gave her a little direction to settle both of those before too long.
It was strange for Akuti to be awake in the hours of the early morning, though she so happened to be basking beneath the rising sun as she caught a whiff of another. Following instinct, she began to track the wolfess down in silence. As she drew nearer to the younger woman (she could now see that this was Adeline; another Easthollow wolf), Akuti allowed a bark of greeting and trotted nearer to her side. It's a bit early, don't ya think?

Thinking about it, Akuti realized that most of her activity in the pack had happened in the late hours of the night — quite different from the moments past sunrise. What're you looking for?
The voice catches her off guard and she jumps in surprise. She’s able to soothe herself quickly when she realizes it is familiar and she turns to see the smaller female questioning her. Adeline licks her lips before answering, uncertain what to make of all of it. Akuti is mostly a mystery to her—she’d been in Easthollow briefly but not long enough for her to get to know her—and now she tags along with Grayday. The thought alone causes acid to wash the back of her mouth and she swallows the lodged lump to try and suppress the unfamiliar feeling.

“I’m always up early,” she says. She’d learned in her days on her own, before now, that she needed to be careful and the less she slept unprotected, the safer she will be. It never quite faded when she returned home and now, on her own with these other strange wolves, it’s more obvious than not to be careful. “But, I was going to catch something to eat.”
