While she had once felt her chest swell at her own independence, she finds that loneliness does not suit her. Sure, she survived rather well by herself, catching what she needed (most of the time...ok, no half of the time...) when she needed it, sleeping under the stars and drinking the cool river waters, but her mind screamed for interaction. Zennyo was still there, lingering at her footsteps. He no longer urged her to return to Ryujin. It was useless to do so. Instead, the rain-dragon, prodded the young vessel towards another task, another goal. A group for her to rise up in. A group for her to lead.

She had met a young girl sometime ago who knew of a group of children her age wandering the Wilds. The thought of it interested her. Instead of instantly being regarded as a child, a lesser, in this brat pack, she would be considered an equal to the others...at least at first. She would change that as soon as possible. But first, she had to find them...and she hadn't had the slightest clue where they would be...
Having not had much time to interact with Kaori in a more intimate setting, Rannoch had sought her out that morning to accompany him on his scouting mission. In his quest for being familiar with everybody that followed him and his brothers, Rannoch had taken the time to attempt to acquaint himself with those within the ranks.

The pair set Westward as they conversed, falling into a natural rhythm of conversation as they strode from where the "brat pack" had settled and towards the gnarled roots of the hollow. Rannoch was unsure of just why they were heading in this direction, but he did not vocalize such concerns and instead simply went with it.

Soon enough the pair found themselves at the treeline of Phantom Hollow, and he turned to his companion with a smile. "Should we investigate?" prompted Rannoch, allowing her to make this decision for them. Though he had been to the woods on numerous instances, Rannoch did not see any harm in investigating them again.

It was obvious that there was nothing here, neither food or wolf. She supposed that with some combing through, she could find some food, but she was not keen on searching. She was not hungry, only bored. Loneliness was fun at first, but now as time wore on, she was increasingly finding it dull. Travelling was nice, but she could only bear so much time without interaction.

She wondered if the pack to the south, the ones who found her, would let her back in. She doubted it, honestly, given her previous interactions with them.

The vessel wandered, aimless, knowing that the brat pack was not here, but she was not sure where they actually where. They were her only goal, other than the need to survive. That, at least, she had covered. The young girl yawned, expressing her boredom to an unseen force.
It was on the cusp of their embarkment that Airi's scent reached them. From what he could smell the other's scent was a stranger to him, but, there was still something similar to it. Slowly, he turned towards @Kaori, his expression questioning as he voiced his curiosity. "Do you smell another wolf nearby?" He asked with a tilt of his head, hesitating any further push to advance until he was confident that he was accurate in his assumptions.
