For the lovely @Ferdie von Pelt - I hope it's OK that I powerplayed his location.

Even though they shared a den, Bazi had seen very little of Ferdie von Pelt since Nightingale's arrival into the pack. The week leading up to her trial had been filled with equal amounts of training and fretting, and she had left the pair of them alone in the den whilst that drama played itself out. Now, with Nightingale safely within the ranks, there was time to talk - and they would talk.

Bazi had ascended to the beta rank in that time, and wasn't above asserting status to get her dear den-mate to share his woes. It as evening when she approached the den, walking proud and tall after a successful meeting with the new recruits. It was late enough for Ferdie to be considering bed-time, though his sleep of late had seemed restless and full of nightmares.

The bright-white yearling stopped a few feet from the den, woofing low to bring her dear friend out into the open. This would be a sensitive conversation, and she didn't want soil Nightingale's vision of her adopted family.
It fits right in with his hiding that's fine

Ferdie heard the noise and though he didn't want to move, in fact he feared he couldn't he lifted his head and it felt like lead. He exhaled soundly and turned it toward the opening of the den. Very slowly Ferdie drew himself from the den, his pelt matted below his chest, dried blood from the attack on bones still on his shoulder, his ribs visible and his eyes were weepy junk clung to the corners.

No longer did he care what he looked like. Nightingale was not near by in fact since the judgement he had not see her, or much of any one else, even Ame whom he felt guilty like he had forced her to join the pack.

I'm sorry Bazi, I will find a new den, Finally Ferdie drug his eyes up to look at her, she held a rank he had hoped to aspire to, however he had failed so many times to show the alpha his desire, he couldn't even get the red female to like him; let alone allow him climb the ranks and stand beside her.

He didn't want to be here; he didn't want to have this conversation, but Bazi, she had been the only wolf in the pack to show him kindness, he owed it to her to listen to her. It was not her rank that would get him to talk, in fact were he himself before his heart had broken he would be to jealous to even be anywhere near her.

His tail hung limp and he dropped his head [b] he knew the den wasn't what she wanted to talk about, in fact she'd want him to stay, but he wasn't going to... after this moment he'd never go back into it. It was no longer his place to be beside a beta, anymore then it was his place to be beside the alpha. At least that's how he felt.
A rank mess of a wolf emerged. Bazi couldn't help but recoil from the Lecter-like smell, pity and disgust mingling in her expression. It wasn't like Ferdie von Pelt to let himself go like this, and she wasn't convinced that sickness was to blame. He had been deteriorating since stepping foot in Swiftcurrent Creek, losing muscle mass and enthusiasm for life with every passing week. Whatever this was, it came from either his mind or his soul, and the newly appointed Beta was beginning to lose her patience.

"I'm sorry Bazi, I will find a new den."

Bazi stopped. "What? Why?" the northern wolf demanded, swishing her tail irritably. She had expected congratulations and questions about her day - not self-piteous crap, and it instantly sparked her temper. "What is wrong with you, exactly?" she added in an entirely unsympathetic tone - in case it was illness, and Ferdie had neglected to tell anyone.
From the youngling she was to the wolf she is, Bazi had grown and changed, sweet dear Bazi, truly the only one whom had ever given him a second sniff. The only wolf who had ever cared enough to share her name, her home, but it wasn’t enough for the brute he had sought the heart of another only to be rejected over and over. It was more then he could bear for a second time, Fox was as unobtainable as Kosses.

And now, now she was loosing his friend. he had over stepped to many boundaries when he sought only to comfort the pup nightingale.

Ferdie Squeezed his eyes shut and turned his head away from Bazi, exposing his neck and scabby torn shoulder but also submitting to her.

I failed Bazi, I failed in my task to find true love. I’m falling apart, I don’t think I can stay here anymore, it hurts to much. I don’t want to go.. I’m hurt and torn. In truth I don’t know what’s wrong... I’m just .... I... can’t....

Ferdie spun on his heel with more speed then his body bellied. His thin frame moved quickly toward the pack land boarders

He’s going to run into Jace’s post, she can run over there and grab him if she wants, but I can’t have anything character related happen here when it seems to be all going down over there. I may have a very dark wolf when this is over.... I don’t want a dark wolf
He crumbled in front of her, babbling something about true love and pain that Bazi could make neither heads nor tails of. The harshness melted from her features and she crept forward, ears back and tail swishing low to the ground. "..I.. Ferdie..what are you saying?" she mewled, suddenly vulnerable and childish.

But Ferdie didn't answer her. Instead, he turned away and ran, stumbling awkwardly towards the borders. Bazi stared after him, very confused and a little hurt - and that made her cross all over again. "FERDIE!" she shouted, but it was no use. With a guttural snarl, she launched from her crouch and sped after him.

No problem! I'll archive this.
