Aryn settled on the branch in the early morning. She had slept as much as she could through the night to see her friend. The wolf hunted by day, so Aryn made an exception to sleep at night just this once to see her friend wake.
A rabbit dangled by the ear in her mouth. She looked down, remembering this tree was when she had met Ferdie Von Pelt.
She alighted down on the ground. Setting her rabbit down. She called in the hole, tilted her head back and forth to find the large wolf's heartbeat.
"Ferdie?" the owl called in a guttural tone. Her wolffish was getting better. She could now make simplistic sentences even though she still had trouble producing "l"s and sharp letters, like K. "Ferdie?"
