Sky howled into the night singing her song.
When you are sorrowful look again into your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.
Athena had heard the song as she was sniffing around for different herbs that had been growing nearby her resting area. She followed the sound and came to Sky. You sing beautifully. Athena said as she walked up to the wolf, nuzzling in greeting. She hadn't gotten to know Sky much so she was glad to meet with her and find out more about her.
"Thank you" Sky said. She nuzzled her back. " Have we met before, sorry I'm not good with names" She stared at Athena. She was hungry and alone before she came now she was just hungry. Her stomach growled.
Not formally. I'm Athena. She said cheerfully. Where had you been before joining the pack? She asked, interested in the wolf's past. She heard briefly that the wolf had lost her family, if she remembered correctly. Athena could relate to that, many wolves could. She found the kind, white wolf interesting and intelligent and wanted to know more from her.
"I live by a creek around Swiftcreek here, do you want to see?" Sky trusted all wolves at Swiftcreek. She was also nice to all of them. She had her trustworthiness too. She could see a that Athena was a nice wolf just by the introduction. She did a little wolf smile.
Athena appreciated the wolf's openness. She nodded. Of course. She said with a smile. Lead the way. She stepped aside for the wolf to pass if needed. Athena could never get over how loyal the Swiftcreek Wolves were to one another. She admired this about them, and of course, it was the reason why she wanted to become part of the pack.
Sky was happy at the moment. She lead the way to her creek that had willows hanging their beautiful leaves over the creek and this left a stream of moonlight shining on her creek. The fish sparkled as they past the moonlight. She snapped one strait out of the water with no blood anywhere." Do you want some too?" Sky asked. She wanted to be polite and share the fish with her new friend.
