Sky had kept her flower in her fur on the inside of her ear. She took a sip of the lake water where she had fell asleep when she was next to Jace. She swam into the clear spot she found earlier. She then went back to her own personal creek that she lived by. She started on the shells on a string that was tied together. She got bored of doing it at the creek so she went to the flower field she had found that day. She made two bigger and smaller ones. The bigger ones were for around the neck and the smaller ones around above the paw. She put them on and the first pair was bigger than her neck and paw. Perfect for Jace. She put her neck one on and she went back to the lake and grabbed more shells. These she used for outlining her creek. She then cleaned up around her creek and was satisfied with what she had done.
Jace was out loping around being a good gamekeeper when he came across SKy again. CHuffing gently at her he loped over to her and smiled "What you up to Sky? Feeling better after your nap? Afte she had woken up they had gone their separate ways, but he had some time and thought he'd check on her. She seemed like a sweet wolf and he liked to make new friends.
She jumped a little when Jace spoke. " Yea I feel better, did you get any sleep? I saw in your eyes that you were tired." Sky felt a lot better, she had at a couple of hares and a few mice. She felt like she could go for a run with Jace. She could see a little bit less of his tiredness, but it all wasn't gone.
He shrugged, "I'll sleep tonight I usually sleep early, cause i go for a run at dawn. he shifted his weight and sat down on his haunches panting gently as he waited for her to speak. He wondered what she was working on with her nimble little paws.
He supposed he was tired, but he figured it was merely from doing his duties and getting up early to run. That was a vice that he alone loved. It was so freeing to run through the morning air, when the dew still kissed the ground and the morning birds had yet to sing.
Sky picked up her finished work for Jace. "These are for you." She put the one for around the neck on his neck gently. She also put the one for the paw on his. She put the one for her paw on herself. The ones she made for Jace fit perfectly. She wanted to go for a run because she was super jumpy, but she was still sleepy.
Jace was momentarily surprised when she slipped something over his neck and paw. He looked down at them studying them. they were shells and the big burly male did like the delicate sea shells that he could find. He touched them gently to look over them. Realizing he wouldn't be able to wear them when he was hunting or stalking as they clinked, but liking them all the same. thank you Sky these are great. I won't be able to wear them all the time because of hunting, but I really like them.
She seemed jittery today with anticipation, wondering what it was that she wanted. He studied her for a moment and then spoke quietly "SO tell me Sky do you like it here so far? He loved the place he called home, not knowing that he would soon have to leave it
" Its okay all of the wolves are friendly here." Sky had no idea what had happened with Jace. He seemed a little sad. She wanted to know what was going on." Jace, you seem sad whats wrong" Sky didn't know what was in store.
technically he doesn't either so we'll be vague here.
I'm glad you find it to your liking sky. They are pretty friendly here aren't they. he shifted and studied the shells around his legs again and smiled as the sunlight caught them and made a multitude of colors dance across their outsides.
He shrugged softly Nothing is really wrong Sky just feel like somethings coming and it's going to change everything. Or I could just be all dreary and such cause I miss my family. Yea that's probably it I just miss my family. he smiled again and nudged her gently with his nose. Tell me what adventures have you gotten into?
" Jace something is wrong and your avoiding telling me." Sky knew he was avoiding he question. She was worried now. She promised herself she wouldn't freak out. She wasn't sure she could keep that promise to herself.
How could he tell her that he was prone to dark rages and he could hurt her if he wasn't careful. No he didn't want to speak of such things on a nice day. I don't really want to talk about such sad things right now Sky? I'm sorry but i'll tell you soon I promise. So tell me how do you string these shells?
"Ok i'll stop. And how you do it is you have to be very steady, You first poke a hole where you want it, I usually use my teeth, or you can use a sharp rock or something else. Then this is how you have to be steady. You take whatever you need to thread through it and then you put it in and slide it through the other ones too and tie it together somehow i don't know how I do it I just kinda slide them into the right place." Sky finished a small one for the paw that instead of shells it was beautiful leaves.
