She left Morningside in the early morning, that quiet time between night and day when nothing seems to move. As she left the borders, the first birds had begun to sing; quietly at first, until more and more of their brethren joined in and the chorus grew in volume and size. She had begun to route through the mountains when the first of the light had seeped, lethargically, through the sky, and the morning symphony drew to a close. Late morning had found her here; navigating the outskirts of haphazardous cliffs and stone, slipping nimbly through the mountain pass. She was making good time, she figured, and her injuries hardly bother her anymore.

The crashing of a mountain stream had her pause, and veer of her course. Picking her way through rock and scrubby undergrowth, she found quick the banks of the stream, drink deeply from the crystalline waters. She shivered, for the water was freezing and the day wasn't warm in the slightest. She enjoyed the cold, but hardly did when her winter coat hadn't yet come in.
Having changed her mind and left Wheeling Gull days before Awinita had wandered for a while before finding herself in the Sunspire. She had taken a nap hidden in some bushes and leaves near a stream but the birdsong had roused her from the sleep she was in. Rosebud eyes looked up sleepily toward the sound of the stream and she slowly pushed herself up onto long, graceful limbs. The small female walked toward the water seeking to take a drink from it, the chilly breeze ruffling her snow white pelt and causing a shiver to run up her spine.

Once she was out close to the banks she spotted another she wolf drinking from the blue water, and paused so that she wouldn't seem like a threat. She chuffed to announce herself and then slowly approached the water's edge not saying a single word though she kept her eyes averted. Lowering her muzzle she lapped at the water, feeling the cool liquid flow over tongue and down her throat. The chilled temperature of the water woke her up further and she shook out her pelt before sitting back on her haunches and giving the other female a curious look. She looked young too, maybe just a few months younger than Awinita was and this made her relax a bit more.
A chuff alerted her to the presence of another, a pale-pelted female that drank wordlessly a few meters down the stream from her. She lifted her muzzle from the swirling waters, salmon tongue flicking out to catch the drops rolling down her muzzle, a single lobe canted towards the woman curiously. She considered her a moment thoughtfully, wondering at her silent manner, before trying a clear "hello" she wasn't sure if the woman would react with more silence, or speak, but she waited patiently none the less, feeling it odd to completely ignore the young woman.
aaah i'm late! hope it's still cool for me to post here... also, tagging for visibility -  no need to join if you don't want to, Cody. :)

She slips away frim @Engel, following one of the streams which branches off the river, flowing from the reaches of the mountains. With the rust-hued man as her companion, she has eaten small, but consistent meals and has the energy of a jackrabbit with such nourishment coursing through her blood. She had asked her traveling partner if he wouldn't mind her exploring a bit as he rests, to which he agreed.

Her little paws carry her towards a series of smaller mountains situated around Morningside - but she carefully veers away from the territory, for she has agreed to approach the pack with Engel by her side (she will not betray him). Eventually the water brings her path to cross with two other females, one with fur the color of stormclouds, the other a replica of herself save for the difference in eye color. Spencer considers turning back, but her curiosity gets the better of her - that, and she is not a coward.  It appears that the three shewolves have come together at approximately the same time, a greeting having just let the silvery woman's lips - Spencer allows several seconds to pass before repeating the phrase.

Hello.

Not surprised when the other female lifts her head from the water and greets her out loud, she chooses to remain silent still. A response was polite however, so Awinita gave a slight smile and perked her ears forward the tip of her tail twitching from side to side slowly as Winni lowered her head in greeting.

The presence of another caused her ears to swivel and her head to lift quickly, but seeing it was another female of similar coloring to her she relaxed. Awinita had been told that white fur meant you were pure of heart until something ruined you, and having not been "ruined" yet winni had the innocence of heart to believe nobody else with white fur was either. Then again she just genuinely thought that nobody could ever be truly evil and that good would always win out in the end. She repeated her silent greeting toward this female and then waited to see if anything would come from this or if she should just wander off on her merry way again.
