Yay! Now I can post threads!

Onyx was not in any rush to meet the other pack members besides Majesty and Silvermane. She laid in the same clearing she'd fallen asleep in the day before. Who would of thought she would of joined a pack the day before. She looked through a gap in the trees at the chunk of night sky showing. The stars burned brightly. Onyx knew from her mom that each individual star was important and each provided a little of silver light to shine on the Wilds. And her mother had told her about the Wolf Heavens for the deceased. "Hi, Mama." Onyx whispered, hoping her mother was watching her. She hoped her mother approved of her joining a pack, even if they were fussy about borders. She would stick with the pack, but never would she worry about borders, boundaries, territories, and prey stealing. That was dumb. Just because a wolf claimed land didn't mean the own a chunk. Nobody owned the Earth! The pack wolves didn't own any land. Her mother had once told her that they were only visitors to the earth. They were there only a little while in all of time. She could see a faint bit of reddish light touching the horizon, a hint of dawn.
Hi! I saw that this didn't have any replies yet so I decided to step in! Also, since Onyx is technically a Juvenile at eight months and not a puppy, you might want to change your avatar picture to a wolf who looks older.

Majesty was up early as usual. He had always been a light sleeper, and never seemed to be able to sleep more than a few hours at a time, though this didn't seem to have any adverse effects on him. He got up and left his den, stretching his legs. It was still dark as night in the forest, though he could tell that it was close to dawn. He decided to go to the eastern edge of the island, to watch the sunrise.

He began light jog through the small forest, and soon enough came across the scent of one of his wolves, Onyx. The youngest. He smiled. He wouldn't mind some company, although he didn't know if she would or not. Either way, he approached her and called softly, "Good morning, little one. What are you doing up so early?"
Yes ok, I'll change the pic.

Onyx heard quiet footsteps approaching. She looked up to see Majesty emerge into the clearing. He asked her about why she was up so early. "I was looking at the stars. And thinking." she said, watching the last traces of the bright spots go away.
OMG I love your avatar pic! She looks so adorable! ^_^ Also, the rules of the game state that all posts must be at least two paragraphs in length. Try to put a little more into your writing, okay? I don't want you to get in trouble.

Majesty came closer to her and sat down beside her. "Would you like some company?" he asked. "What were you thinking about? If you don't mind me asking. You don't have to tell me."

He decided to be gentle on the girl. She was still new and she had lost her mother. He didn't know how long ago that had been, but he wasn't going to pry. He looked up at the sky, watching the stars fade as the sun rose over the horizon, turning the ocean a lighter shade of blue than before. It was beautiful, and only made him more glad that he had chosen this place as his pack's territory.
Thanks! And also, sorry about the paragraphs. Just sometimes I can't think of what to say, you know?

"I was thinking about my mother all morning." She lied. Guilt immediately seeped into her. She had thought about mother, yes, but she'd also thought about the stupid rules of pack territories. She'd never seen Majesty mad, and she still didn't know if she could trust him not to rip her to shreds. She didn't know if he was calm in bad situations, or maybe he got mad as a fox in a fit. Maybe he wouldn't tolerate her disrespect for his rules.
Her mother had told her to stay from wolves unless she really needed help. She'd been just fine, but here she was, talking to a full grown male, who could secretly be aggressive and cruel. Her mother had been scared of most packs because one had chased her family into another's "territory." Then the other pack had killed Onyx's would've-been-uncle when he was a year and two months. Some packs, Raven had said, had no respect for loners on their stupid "territory."
Majesty nodded and tried to think of what to say in this delicate situation. The first thing that came out of his mouth surprised him: "I lost my mother, too. And my father. I even lost my sister when she was just a pup. I'm not saying I know what you're going through, but... I do know the pain of losing family. I live with it still - every day."

He looked down at her and gave a gentle smile. "But... she is still here. In nature. In the stars and the wind and the sky. And the trees. She'll always be here with you - in some form or another. Just like my family is with me here still." He looked out to sea and watched the sun steadily rise over the ocean. "She is even there - in the sunrise. In the color bursting over the land. Do not be sad, little one. Look around you and smile. She is everywhere."
Onyx immediately felt bad for Majesty, even though she was not supposed to be sad for her alpha. He'd lost more family than her. Well, at least he knew them. She'd never had the chance to meet her uncles or aunts, or her father. Her mother's siblings had either died or left the Wilds. As for her father, well, he had drowned in the Totoko river. And she'd never had any siblings.
She glanced at the nature around her. The sunrise's bursting colors. "Is she really here? What about Du- my father?" She said, remembering that Majesty didn't know Dust.
Majesty nodded as Onyx spoke. "Yes," he said. "I believe that when we die, our bodies are returned to the Earth in many forms. We become the beauty here. And we can be everywhere and everything at once. I may not have a set religion, but I am a spiritual wolf. I believe that death is not the end of life. It is simply a transitioning into the next part of life."

He looked at the young female beside him. "I know that to some, this all may sound a little odd. Do you understand what I have told you? Do you have questions? I would be happy to try and answer them if you'd like." He smiled at her encouragingly. He had noticed that she seemed a little shy around him and he wanted to dispel any fearful thoughts she may or may not have had about him. She needed a family right now - one she could trust. So he just smiled at her and then went back to watching the sunrise.
Onyx thought about what Majesty said. It was a large concept for the little wolf to grasp. Second part of life? Onyx didn't know what a religion was although she understood spiritual. Mama had explained the spirit.
"So..." Onyx said, "death is not bad? And Daddy is still alive?" Onyx wondered. She looked up the wolf. He must be very wise.
OMG I absolutely ADORE Onyx... Also, please go vote on the Pack-Wide Event Poll in the Members Only forum now that you're back.

"And Daddy is still alive?"

This question hit Majesty hard. He really thought Onyx was much too young to have lost her family. "Yes," he said gently. "Well... in a way. He cannot speak to you anymore, and you cannot see him or touch him, but he is there. He is still watching you, even if he can't interact with you. Don't be afraid to talk to him sometimes, in you mind. He's there and he's listening. And he still loves you."

He smiled down at the young wolf gently. "He would be proud of you. And your mother, too. And don't worry. You'll be well taken care of here. I promise."
This will be my final post.

As Majesty explained, Onyx became confused again. The word anymore confused her too. She'd never known Daddy. He died before she was born. But she didn't want to hassle Majesty with more questions. It would be rude. "You will be taken care of here." She believed that. Well, mostly. The wolves still scared her a little. Mama had told her that some wolf packs were cruel truly, but disguised themselves in good deeds. But Majesty seemed kind. She believed he would care for her. She stared at the sunrise. Daddy? Mama? Can you see me? I wish you were here.
She had some things to think about. Onyx stepped into the forest and begin to walk.
