@Majesty

The black she wolf had woken up early before any others were awake. She had to make it to the beach and gather some seaweed. She needed to get it back to her den before it dried to much so she could use it for his leg. Making sure to keep it moist and then allow it to dry on his leg. It was uncomfortable for him surely, but once it dried it shrunk and kept his leg immobile. She didn't want to be gone to long either due to her alpha responsibilities. She was certain Peregrine and Atticus together could keep tabs on all and protect the pack for a few hours while she hunted something to heal the former.

There was a new scent here, she was willing to wager that it was the new pack that had started by the male wolf Majesty she had met one spring day and where the traitor lay his head to sleep. She had not put that to his name until Ragnar pointed out that he was indeed a traitor she had not thought about it.
It was late-morning, and Majesty had decided it was time for a run - like always. Honestly, he could not remember when or why he had begun to take these daily runs. He'd been doing it before he had come to the Teekon Wilds, but he wasn't sure what had started it. However, he was hesitant to go running today, as it seemed that every time he went for a run, he ended up in trouble with another pack. So he decided to give himself a purpose this time. He was going to scout out the Wilds for herbs and plants he could use for healing.

He went and got a rabbit skin from his den, which he had meticulously and carefully torn off of the dead creature to use as a sort of pouch for carrying his herbs. Then he ran to the sandbar. The water was lowering, which was good, as he didn't want to get the rabbit skin wet. Clenching it tightly between his teeth, he crossed over to the mainland and began scouring the shore for any medicinal plants.

After a little while, when he was a bit further inland, he spotted a pretty black-furred she-wolf. For a split-second he thought it was Erika, his newly beloved, and his tail wagged. And then he realized that it was not her, and though he was a bit disappointed, he was also curious. She looked... familiar. He yipped through the fur in his jaws, coming towards her, tail wagging to show he was friendly. She seemed to be... looking for something.
Blue was lost in thought truthfully as she traversed the sandy ground looking for seaweed. Flinging the newly found pieces upon her back, they dangled and hung in her eyes so it was difficult for her to see. She was using the majority of her other senses to tell her where she was going. She was almost done, she had enough to last for awhile when a chuff came to ears.

Twitching her ears she lifted her head and looked around the seaweed sliding further back her shoulders but staying in place. A brown wolf was coming towards her a familiar figure, but why she could not place as the wolf was still fairly far away.

She yipped back and stopped moving forward. Keeping her body language neutral as she was in neutral territory she waited calmly for the other wolf to make it to her. She hollered out a simple Hello there. then patiently waited.
Majesty approached the female slowly, trying to place her in his mind. All he remembered was that he had probably called her pretty and that his meeting with her had been a nice one. Her name... had a color in it? Maybe? He cursed in his head. Usually he was better at remembering faces and names. He had been meeting so many of them recently, though, that even his memory was failing him. And then with a sudden burst, he remembered her name: Blue Willow. She was a healer. Her family had been gypsies - and storytellers.

He put down the rabbit skin as he neared her and said, "Hello, Miss Willow. How do you do this fine day?" Curiously, he raised an eyebrow at the seaweed hanging off of her. "And... if you don't mind me asking, what are you doing?"
Blue studied the male in front of her trying in vain to come up with his name at the drop of the items in his maw. Finally, she realized his name and chuckling returned his greeting. Hello Majesty. I am well and yourself.

Realizing that she would probably be here for a bit now, passing the time with pleasant conversation she looked for a small pool. Finding a small rock pool right near them she deposited her seaweed in there to keep it moist and wet so it would not harden on the return trip home. I am gathering seaweed. We had an unfortunate accident in my pack lands and it resulted in a broken leg. I am collecting seaweed to use for binding. and yourself? She purposely omitted that it was the alpha male that was laid up, preferring to keep that to herself in anyone's company. It would not bode well to speak to outsiders of the identity of the victim in question.
The title of this thread gets that song stuck in my head every time I read it: A hunting I will go, a hunting I will go, hi ho the marry-o, a hunting I will go. Lol.

Majesty sighed at Blue Willow's mention of a broken leg in her pack. In the wild, broken legs could be fatal. If they became infected, or were not reset properly, they could leave their bearer with a permanent handicap, which could affect a lot of different aspects of their lives. He was impressed with the female's ingenuity - using seaweed for binding. It was rather clever.

"I hope whoever it is with the broken leg gets better and heals properly. Though I have a feeling that won't be a problem. If you are the one doing the healing, I have no doubt that they will make a full recovery. You seem to have a good on your shoulders." He smiled. "Also, I must thank you. You gave me a good idea if anyone in my pack breaks a leg. I'm not sure I would have ever thought of using seaweed as a cast."

He nodded towards the rabbit skin that was at his paws when she asked him what he was doing. "I am searching the Wilds for herbs to dry and keep in my den for medicinal purposes. There are a few useful plants on the Isle where my pack lives, but for the most part, I've found I must go elsewhere to find what I need. Luckily, my wolves seem to be staying away from sickness and injury. I hope that lasts." He paused in thought. "Anyways, I use the rabbit skin to store herbs and grasses that I pick. Some of them are poisonous when ingested, so I'd rather not hold them in my mouth."

Blue willow chuckled and spoke quietly YOu have to have a stick to. She frowned as she tried to think how to explain what she meant. When you set the broken leg you want to make sure you have a straight stick to hold against the leg so that it keeps it in place and then you bind it with seaweed. Seaweed works wonders when it dries it shrinks and tightens, which makes the leg immobile so that the wolf cannot move it and make it worse. And thank you I am doing my best the wolf in question is a dear friend of mine.

She chuckled she had never thought of using a skin to carry herbs, she had always used shells, but truthfully the skin would probably work better, it was certainly larger. I will have to remember your use of the rabbit skin. I have always used shells. Wampun meadow towards the creek has some good herbs as does the never winter forest and a few other places that I cannot think of at the moment.

I'm going to forward-date this a little, if that's okay with you to take certain events into account on the Isle.

Majesty listened as Blue Willow spoke some more about setting a limb, and then mentioned Neverwinter Forest and Wapun Meadow as good places for plants and herbs. He smiled and shook his head. "I should probably stay away from Neverwinter Forest. Jinx would have my head if she caught me there."

Then he suddenly thought of Arkham, the wolf-dog in his pack, who was currently suffering from internal bleeding. "Do you... do you know of any herbs to help with internal bleeding?" he asked slowly. "I've been using Prairie Dock to prevent her from vomiting up too much blood. I want to get the excess blood out of her system, but right now she's too weak to handle vomiting all the time. And... I've been using Ironweed to strengthen her blood, which should speed up the healing process on the inside. And poppy seeds. I've been giving them to her for pain."

He paused, unsure what had made him want to tell her these things. But something about her made him trust her, so he went on. "Can you think of anything else I should be giving her? I've been keeping her off of heavy foods for now, since that'll just induce more vomiting, but... I don't know if there's anything else I should be doing." He looked up at her, wondering what advice she would give him.
That's fine :D

Blue chuckled she had forgotten that in a sense he was also a traitor of sorts, but she found she couldn't hold a grudge if she tried even of silvermane. that is true I had forgotten. She winced as he spoke of poppy seeds she hated using them unless she absolutely had to. How much Poppy seeds do you use? If you are not careful one can get addicted to it as well as hallucinate. As for the internal bleeding Stinging Nettle will help. You must steep the nettle in water to get the pricklies off of it. And Rose hips will help to boost her immune system make her insides stronger. Blue then shrugged that was all she could tell him. Internal bleeding was a tricky thing and sometimes you could save the wolf other times you couldn't it was that simple really.

She briefly wondered how the other wolf had gotten so badly hurt, but decided it wouldn't be very polite to ask as she was not part of his pack, she was merely a herbalist/healer passing through. that is all I can tell you unfortunately. Internal bleeding is a tricky thing sometimes you can fix it other times you can't.

Last post from me! Thanks! I'll request to have this archived now, but feel free write your last post! ^_^

Majesty listened carefully as Blue Willow spoke of what other plants would help Arkham heal. When she asked about how many poppy seeds he was giving her, he sighed. "I know well the side-effects of using poppy seeds for pain. Unfortunately, as of now, they are the only pain reducing plants I have, as they grow naturally on the island." He grimaced as he thought of what Ypres had told him about Silvermane getting high off of them. "It's one of the reasons I was gathering medicinal herbs, actually. I don't want her body to get used to having them in her system."

He bowed his large head to her, feeling a sudden urge to move on and get to work. "Thank you, Miss Willow, for your knowledge. I shall keep it in mind for future reference." He paused. "I will tell my wolves to allow you onto the island if you ever wish to visit. My pack is still small and I would not the mind the company. Or we could always meet again in neutral territory if it would make you more comfortable."

He gave her a smile, bid her farewell, and was off.
Blue Willow nodded her head Good I use them sparingly often. I prefer aloe vera when I can use it though you can't really ingest it, but it is very good for outward wounds. She knew that wouldn't help him right now but for future reference it would.

Blue listened and spoke quietly neutral is better for all involved. As I would not invite you into my own pack lands as I am not the only Alpha, so since I cannot return the favor, I would prefer neutral lands. She would gladly share her knowledge but she would do so on her own terms in neutral lands away from her pack and his. It did not do good to make allies and friends of large mass when come winter you could be fighting against those same allies for food.
