She came with the storm, it gathered and churned in the heavens and she, with her head raised high and faculties directed after it, did not pay attention to her heading until it was too late. It wasn't long before the clouds would congest in earnest; it was this moment that she waited for with baited breath, pacing along the edge of a dark forest. She knew there would be many hours before the sky had collected itself enough to begin the show but she was impatient, eagerly anticipating the oncoming rain. She did nothing but pace and watch, pace and watch, pace and — thunk! Despite her finesse, the stormborn girl needed to keep her eyes front and center if she were to avoid the terrestrial obstacles such as trees, as she'd just now discovered after face-planting against a thick old birch.
Clouds rolled overhead with ominous intention. Tadec’s lantern gaze was glued up above as he moved on lengthy slender limbs, scouting further through the territory he aimed to claim as his own. His gaze followed the large billows as though they would lead him to secrets he had not yet learned. Though he worried what Indra would say when he discussed leaving with her, the dark-furred thief did not feel as though the valley was a suitable home. With children on the way, the coywolf knew that he would wish to raise his kin where they were safely watched over by the forest and the boughs overhead. Even still, he fretted, because he knew that Indra would not wish to leave her sister and her sister seemed to be deeply rooted in something within the valley pack.
Like an ethereal, flame-touched wraith, the moonlighter passed beneath the trunks of the towering trees and scouted out further beyond what he had known. The forest was massive; it would prove a perfect claim and he was pleased with himself for having found it. To his left, the sound of a dull thud echoed against bark and firm roots. Tadec’s lengthy ears turned sharply atop his crown and his pointed muzzle followed until he had latched his sights on the form of another. With a quiet yip, he announced his presence there.
