AW ♥ || Early Morning, 31˚F, Mostly Cloudy

He sat in the plains as the sun caressed the mountains to the east. There was a chill to the air that morning but it felt no colder than when he had first arrived. Blackdeer Tail Plateau had allowed him in with ease. Krarius could not be happier with his current situation.

So why did he sit out here alone with a wistful look on his soft face as he gazed upon the sun painted mountains? Krarius knew exactly why, truth be told. He still felt alone. It would be fixed with time — he was positive of that. His lonesome feelings would fade once he integrated himself into the Plateau pack's social circle.

Yet for now he would mull and wallow in his feelings.
astara would recover, but she had not spoken. and averna, with the voice of a child. relmyna had not entertained any such ideas that her brood would be the one to rule blackfeather, not now; she saw in them powerful priestesses but the inability to command due to their own ever-wreathing thoughts. a melonii would lead; meloniis would protect the dark brotherhood. maegi's response to discovering the paternity of her half-sisters did not sit well within her heart, and still she had found no way to ponder it.
out, out the listener traveled, idly following the spoor of a deerherd while blackfeather grew smaller in the distance. and when she had come upon her quarry, she found she was not alone. relmyna settled on a rise not far from the strange wolf, turning her seafoam gaze upon the distant mountains.
Krarius was oblivious to his newfound company for the first silent moments. A sigh slipped out of him into the cold air, head turning to look away from the glory of the mountains did he spot her.

A beauty. Pale like fresh snow but hidden by black shadows, scars that tarnished her canvas. He was...breathless. Was everyone so beautiful here? Would his heart ache every time his baby blue eyes found life?

He could not bring himself to speak and the longer the silence settled in the space between them, the more he felt his face grow warm.
it was not long before she felt the pressure of eyes upon her, and soon pulled her own gaze from the peaked distance to regard the staring man. male, she assumed, for the expression in the skyblue irises, one for some time she had experienced from none other than iliksis. ruffled despite herself, the listener stood to her paws, wrought with tension.
a whisper stilled her, some sliver of daedric, though the prayers evaded relmyna even now. thus, she did not move away; the woman lifted her chin and gazed down her slender muzzle at the stranger, turquoise expression unreadable but without fear.
When she stood and looked back, Krarius finally broke his stare. O-oh, I'm s-sorry. He spoke in a tone that was soft and would most likely barely reach the pale female. F-for staring. Krarius wanted to say he could not help himself but he could have. He simply chose not to for her beauty was undeniable.

It was with a slow, awkward movement that he got onto all fours again. He should probably get going instead of...just staring at mountains and wolves in the middle of the meadow like a stalker.
whether or not relmyna would admit it to herself, in her cronelike and advanced years, she had enjoyed the way he gazed upon her, stricken silent. she had not recalled the same expression in cicero's eyes — just a soft want — and iliksis burned for her with a dark and violent hunger.
this, the listener decided, was pure in comparision.
she opted to approach, small paws carrying her brief frame toward the larger man. the scent of pinewood drifted from him as she drew near. and it was not until she faced the pale blue of his gaze that relmyna spoke, a warmer light entering her eyes. few stare as gently as you have, she mouthed slowly, watching to see how he might react.
The way she approached him set his covered skin on fire, burning from his own shyness and from those alluring blue eyes. A fire in him built one that felt different from other times it had made a home in him. He did not know what to do with it and so he swallowed it whole the best he could.

When she mouthed those delicate words, Krarius grew momentarily uncomfortable in his own flesh. He could not deny that he had craved attention like this for some time. T-thank you. He murmured softly before he dared to take in her scent. Every bit as distinct and unique as herself.
was it her who perturbed him so? relmyna could not conceive that her scarred countenance and the age that had begun to stipple her muzzle with small silver hairs was of any interest to the younger creature. and yet his regard of her seemed to increase when they had come closer together. she nodded to him; there was the scent of cedar wended also into his earthen pelt.
walk with me, she invited, setting off slowly across the terrain. the grassland beckoned, as it had the day of the hunt. however, now she was alone; in pleasant company. i am relmyna. her gaze found the curious blue of his own, and though the listener pulled her gaze away, beset with another rush of shyness, it was a smile that wreathed her lips.
He followed like there was a rope tied around him that was attached to her. The blue-eyed male trailed close next her while his eyes were unable to look away from her. If she had wanted to lead him into a pit for him to walk right into, he would have done so for his thoughts were elsewhere.

R-Relmyna. He softly uttered back to her, his tail swayed easily behind his earthy-toned form. Krarius. The blue-eyed male finally introduced himself. She made his thoughts all mixed up and jumbled, he was trying to stay composed but that was awfully hard to do.
krarius. the man of earthen hues seemed smitten with her, and somehow this was both endearing and uncomfortable. had he never before seen a woman? the thought was cruel, unfair, stemming only from her perception of self. the pair of them moved in silence, the listener observing him from the corner of her eye.
how fey, how strange he seemed in proximity to her. from where do you come? relmyna inquired gently, turning her muzzle toward him that he might see the movement of her lips. and perhaps, if she was honest, to glean more of the expression in his eyes that favoured her so well.
some time they spent together before returning to the comfort of their respective packs, she warmer for the meeting, at least in the time being.
