This thread is forward dated some obligatory amount of time in the future! XD  And by that I mean it is set a few days before the rest of SS arrives, but since that arrival time also depends on when the leaving thread happens, everything gets to be up in the air, but I assume it's less than a week from now.

The trip went smoothly enough, but given that one of those traveling along was an incredibly impatient wolf who was looking forward to this giant pile of nonsense being over, it was probably a good thing that nothing had come up.  Directions had been given and dutifully followed (albeit at times at a faster clip, again, impatience), and now the river-carved forest sprawled before them.  Treason and @Terance (and if anyone else wants to come along, LMK) were the advance crew, to scout it out, make sure nobody'd been up to any funny business since it was initially scouted, and just generally make sure things were good to go.  Along the way, winter was keen to show its early teeth, cold temperatures and enough wind to threaten to make things miserable if the pack had waited too much longer.

She'd carried along the piece of debris she'd captured at the near-fight at the helicopter crash (the NTSB probably were wondering where it went).  It wasn't particularly big and weighed next to nothing, so no, she didn't need help nor did she want anyone messing with it.  It was hers and nobody else's, and since it hadn't rotted, decayed, or been dug up by scavengers like a bone might have, she was keeping it with her through the move.  A curiosity, nothing more.  And heaven forbid he try to steal it in fun and games when she'd put it down to take a drink -- Treason was a mite bit possessive, and wouldn't hesitate to bite to bruise to prove a point.  Which was probably a bit kinder than her reaction would have been to a stranger doing the same -- she'd probably just try to kill them then.  And either way, it probably didn't make her a particularly interesting traveling companion as any conversation would be pretty one-sided unless they'd stopped moving.

Once they'd arrived, she'd quickly moved off ahead into the depths of the territory, looking for a good place to stash her prize before she'd go back to exploring.  She found the perfect place above the high water mark of one of the many waterways -- an abandoned burrow built into a rocky outcropping -- and wedged the damn thing in there, sealing it shut with some rocks that didn't look particularly convincing, but at least it was safe for the short term.  Treason would deal with it later.

So now what?  She started back the way she'd come to meet up with Terance again.  They could hang out and act like they owned the place, which they pretty much did until everyone else arrived.  The smart thing to do would probably be to do a lap around as much of the territory as possible before their paws fell off from all the other walking they'd done recently, but she didn't know if he'd be up for that at this stage.
hope its okay to hop in !!

Aerasha was unaware of any plans of a pack named Sunspire moving nearby. She met a wolf by the name of @Wraen who was looking for a territory, but she didn't know they already found the area. The coffee cream fae was taking the day to wander around the nearby areas of Easthollow, and while she already visited Lost Creek Hollow; she slowly made her way back. Winter was coming and she thought to enjoy the waterways before they frosted, or it'd be quite a while before she'd see them again.

Though her brown and blue gaze caught the sight of a rather large moving creature. She looked over with a bicolored curiosity and thought the figure to be Greyback. Instead of a dark gray though, the figure had more white with a cape of grey then to the large grey mountain. Aerasha walked with ease as she strolled over to this figure with a lethargic posture and a smile. She held no hostility or wariness while making her over, and greeted the stranger, "heeelllooo.~"
terance was not typically one to scout ahead. but he'd been asked to, so without any hesitation or argument terance and treason scouted ahead. simple as that.

the weird smelling thing that treason carried with her was bewildering to terance, who actually had no idea she'd ever had it to begin with. at least, he was pretty sure he hadn't known about it. but she seemed pretty possessive over it, and as much as terance was down for a good tussling, he also wasn't sure treason was keen to the idea of flirting. so, he'd always kept their relationship pretty professional and friendly anyhow. my head hurts, is this post making any sense?

terance and treason reached the territory and treason broke off to go bury her thing-- or, something. terance stayed behind, checking out the territory with interest. this was their new home, it was different, for sure, terance had lived on mountains the last year of his life and this was most certainly not a mountain. but, regardless, he didn't mind it. it seemed good to him.

when he spotted treason returning, there was suddenly another wolf's voice. terance's gaze narrowed, and he padded towards his companion, ears pricked, finding the feminine form of a coffee-coated she-wolf. he'd turned up late in the conversation-- mildly-- so treason had presumably already spoken, and terance kept quiet until it was acceptable to say, "i'm terance-- where are you from?" because that was blunt enough.
Treason, being herself, was a good deal less amiable in her response than Terance's would be.  In fact, the woman's appearance seemingly out of the ether (Treason hadn't been paying much attention, her thoughts wandering elsewhere) had to a point startled her.  Her initial response was stifled but still with hostile undertones -- just that shift of weight, the tense of muscle and the ripple of fur.  Of course, there wasn't much sense in her getting super pissed off, there weren't any borders yet, nothing for any wandering sorts to have a clue that they were no longer allowed to be here.

Wait, who are you?  Treason's words were sharp, as they often were.  For those that new her, there was nothing surprising about her actions, other than perhaps the restraint she was showing by not going full tilt right off the bat.  Maybe it was because the stranger's demeanor made her seem like she'd be easily bullied in turn caused Treason to feel like no matter what, things were secure.  Just a minor problem.

This was about when Terance appeared.  Her gaze flitted to him briefly then locked back onto the stranger.  They'd pelted her with enough quick questions, and though Treason hadn't given her own name, she was curious of the response.  This wasn't what she'd been expecting upon arrival, at least.
"I'm Aerasha.~" She said, lazily giving out her name without worry. Nor' did she mind the sharp tone or even the most hostile stance. The coffee and creamed dame took everything with a grain of salt and continued her ways of being a lazy cat. She only smiled with her bicolored cresent look, and gave a nod to the left, then to the right while looking at this large behemoth. The size remindered her of someone, but the personality was different. She seemed rather fun.~

Then her head cocked to the newcomer, a black wolf covered in scars. He gave his name and asked a different question, and Aerasha was fine to oblidge to their barrage of questions, "aaahhh, Easthollow.~" She was relatively new to that Pack and only met a few pawful of wolves. Though suppose that is where she is from, now. However where were these wolves from? Another Pack in the area? That'd be fuuun tooo.
treason was, as always, straightforwards and sharp. terance appreciated that about her, it was one of the reasons he trusted her so deeply. he knew that if any problems were ever to arise, treason would tell it like it is. he needed that in a right-hand, so he was glad that treason had agreed.

"we're from sunspire, our pack is relocating here," terance told aeshara, feeling comfortable since they were allied with east hollow, "is valette still leading?" terance had always enjoyed his interactions with the east hollow wolves.
Despite whatever happens in threads leading up to this point in time, Treason still understood that outside of a fight or a real trespassing incident, she was not always the best wolf to have running the diplomatic side of things unless a firm hand was needed.  Treason had her place as more of a blunt instrument, though she'd be quite willing to give Terance, Rannoch, or anyone a dagger-filled glare if they were doing something stupid.

Right now it was just.. Awkward.  It was this weird void before things got really settled down and locked, and it had to be a pretty huge chunk of land that just the pair of them would have to attempt to keep control of while they waited.  Not that she expected trouble, but scenarios like this were just slightly off her mental map of proper responses.  The rest will be here in the next few days, she confirmed to emphasize that yes, though there were only two of them here at the moment (and two wolves did not a whole pack make), this was going to become off limits very quickly.

Treason, on the other hand, hadn't had many interactions with anyone outside the pack.  A few here and there (notable in recent history was that weird Moonspear wolf who was itching for a fight and the pack of Fools), but as far as she knew, she hadn't met any of the Easthollow residents aside from their visit to announce their relocation.  Treason's judgement of Aerasha got to color the rest of the average wolves in that pack.
"Sunspire?~" Aerasha bobbed her head to the left in thought, briefly remembering the wolf named Wraen who was searching... Her head slowly sprung up in a bright and relaxed smile while gazing st the two, "ooohhh, you found a hooomeee.~ How niiice.~" The lady mentioned scouting for potential lands to claim, and stumbled upon Aerasha to inquire about if there was a Pack nearby. At the time she was not, but it's been a while since meeting that wolf, "I hooopeee Wraen isss doing welll.~" She mentioned the Beta, indicating of a previous meeting between the two. Though she remembered fondly it became a talk of the past, particularly over her own rather then territories. Though the wispy fae didn't comment on more was coming, she'll leave eventually... Probably.

"Yesss, Valette is still here.~ She's cute, riiight?~" Aerasha's smile held a tint of mischevious thinking of her pack leader, as well as another large wolf that was in the picture. It was honestly adorable, and she enjoyed watching the interactions so far.
his jaw clenched at the mention of wraen, but he was surprised to hear aerasha mention her, and it showed in the prick of his ears. "yeah-- wraen is doing well," he told her gently, not mentioning that the she-wolf was his sister, "she'll be taking her leave from sunspire. treason will be joining me in the beta rank." ah, why was he telling this wolf anything-- because they were allies? did it matter? well, maybe it would to valette. "you can pass that information along to valette, if you'd like." fine fix, he supposed.

and then... wait, what? terance was taken aback by the comment. he'd never heard someone so casually refer to another wolf like that-- was she trying to get him to admit he liked valette, or something? why did that comment sound so childish. he cleared his throat. "valette is kind, and a good leader," he returned gently, altogether avoiding the comment at hand. he gave treason a side eyed glance, wondering if she was thinking the same thing as him.
Oh of course Treason was thinking something similar.  Mostly that this wolf was a really odd one and she was happy she wasn't in their pack because Treason would surely get driven up the walls quick.  Her look over to Terance, though, was colored slightly differently. Her slightly quirked brow was asking more if there was some past history there or something.  It wasn't particularly accusatory, more along the lines of, "Did I miss something?"

Unfortunately, this was also Treason in that she didn't particularly have anything to say that Terance hadn't already covered and given that she wasn't particularly keen on hanging out and having an in-depth conversation with Aerasha, she was gonna let him deal with this one.  Yep, best co-beta ever, right?
"Whaaat?~" Wraen is leaving Sunspire? How could she visit when the wolf was now a wanderer? If she left her home, who knows where she would end up! Such a shame... Though she seemed so loyal too, it was a mystery to Aerasha on how could she would leave.. So she asked, "buuut whyyy?~" With a lil' more gossip, It'll surely be passed over toward Valette. She'll just need to remember to tell the leader about it.

Speaking of her, the coffee toned fae hasn't seen much of her since joining. Well, to be fair she has been lazing around, but heeey, she will find her later, "riiight?~" then turned to Treason and widened her drowsy smile toward her question, "yoouuree cuuute tooo.~" Valette was cute with Greyback, since she tried to be a respectable leader, but Aerasha could see the rattle behind it. Oh, and Greybacks too, they were both pretty flustered with eachbother. It was fun to watch. The Sunspire dame looked cuute too, and seemed so serioouss. Gosh there was many serious wolves around.

Though Terrance seemed more open, "buuut," Aerasha turned toward him, "maaaybe youuu, are more coool?~"
"to find more," was all terance said. because, hell, he didn't really know. that's what she said-- that she felt bogged down and stressed out in sunspire. she needed more. terance wasn't gonna stop her, and he sure as hell wasn't gonna judge her-- not when he'd done the same thing moons ago.

oh-- the strange east hollow wolf called treason cute. which, not that the she-wolf was or wasn't attractive, that was besides the point, but not a single wolf in the whole entire world found the connotation of the word cute to be treason. they were, in fact, opposing things. at the comment, terance's chin dipped in an attempt to hide a serious smirk, though it did little as treason was beside him and could probably see it very well.

but, of course, aerasha came for terance too. terance responded with a shake of his head, smile already fallen from his features. "i don't think you can judge that quickly," was all he said-- he didn't really know how to properly respond. he shot treason another look to see her reaction.
Okay that chick officially needed to have her head examined.  Of course, there was always the possibility that maybe Aerasha just liked women but Treason didn't even think of that as an option -- let's be real, she lived a pretty self-centered life, and anything that varied too much from that just wasn't on her radar.  She took the whole thing as some sort of sideways insult.  Like somehow the Easthollow wolf was maybe questioning her competence or something.  Her tone was somewhat strained but as neutral as she could, Excuse me?

The fact that she continued on to Terance as well barely registered on her radar.  Maybe everything would go well and Aerasha would get bored and wander away.
"Ooohhh, theeen," Aerasha dipped her head to the side in thought, a bicolored gaze switching between the two, "whaat about, in reveerrsee?~" She was blissfully continuing on despite their confused state, and uncomfortability with the fae. Her speciality was to confuse others, as it seems every other conversation she had someone was irritated or lost on her odd quirks. She was enjoying it though.

"Treason is cooool," she liked this way better, and nodded with approval, "whiiile, Terrance is cuuute." The creamed fae smiled lightly at them, seemingly proud on the switching of titles. It definitely suited them more like that.
terance's own face heated, unfortunately, since he was no stranger to embarrassment or flattery. and truthfully, he was sort of tickled to be called cute. he certainly didn't look cute-- not with all his scars and his burly structure. but-- whatever.

still, because terance knew his fellow beta was about to pop an eye out of socket composing himself, he leaned to give her a gentle nudge to the shoulder with his nose. "yeah," he responded with as much enthusiasm as he could manage, he would agree just for the sake of agreeing, "treason's cool and i'm cute." and then with a dip of his head, terance said, "alright, it's about time we started working on the borders. i'd appreciate it if you could pass along the message of our move to valette for us." and maybe to leave the premises, too. but, he didn't keep that comment.

instead, terance awaited a response and then motioned for treason to follow his lead to leave.
All she could think of was what the hell was wrong with this chick. Treason had no idea how someone that weird and annoying would survive this long without someone chewing off half of their face.  The problem with Aerash's lazy demeanor was that it wasn't very telling.  She was just kind of there and that was almost more frustrating by proxy.

Then Terance nudged her.  Hhn, was apparently as much of a word as she wanted to put together.  Just some vague, affirming grunt.  Yeah, okay, fine.  Leaving was fine.  Though firmly now in a displeased mood, she started to follow him, dawdling a little just to make sure Aerasha turned and headed some direction away from them.
An aura of flowers and a dreamy mind, Aerasha was unmindful to their uncomfortability to her comments. She was more pleased they seem to accept the reversed titles, and amused by their lost of words in her compliments. The creamed wolf smiled at Terrance, and chuckled toward the sound Treason made.

"Aww," despite a dissatisfied tone she was still smiling, "thats too baaad.~" Aerasha would love to talk to them more, but suppoossee, she has an excuse to come back later, "but okaaay, I willl.~" It'll be fun to talk to Valette about the neighbors.

"I'll see you laateeerrr," she turned while making the hint of a possible visit. Aerasha sashayed herself out of the territory, all too content by the encounter she had in the area. It's a beautiful place, though too bad she'll be limited from now on.
terance gave a final nod and a polite, tight-lipped smile, and then they were off. he muttered something about how crazy that encounter was to treason, and then dropped it. he kept it in mind though, for whatever east hollow wolf he'd encounter next-- he prayed they hadn't made an alliance with a bunch of lunatics. but, to be fair, aerasha had been the first... of her kind... so terance assumed it was just one bad egg.

oh well.
