ooc: @Kaname , let's see how this plays out!

It was pouring rain, but Rahzie could not care less. It was a warm summer rain, so all it did was soak her through, and didn't leech the heat out of her small frame. It did, however, cause the usually strong Whitefish River to surge with even more dark power, so she made sure to keep a safe distance from it's banks - but other than that, the young coywolf was vivacious as ever. She was travelling upriver, stepping lightly, weaving her lithe body this way and that, almost dancing through the stony riverbank, humming to herself.

She had only recently arrived in the Teekon Wilds area, but had not wasted a moment, deciding to explore as much as she possibly could. She knew, somewhere deep in her instinctual being, that she couldn't survive alone for long - but she could damn well try. The coywolf was careful not to get too close to any of the pack's borders that she had come across. At least, not for long. She enjoyed pushing buttons and she was quick enough to run and get away with it, at least as far as she was concerned.

And today, she was definitely feeling like pushing buttons. She wasn't near any pack borders as far as she could tell, but there were wolves in the area, she knew. Despite the gloomy weather, the small woman still held her spirit, and was just waiting for someone to come along that she could have some fun with.
Oh dear.

The rain had started the moment he was halfway to the borders. There was no point in marking them today, the rain would just wash it away. Once the rain had ended, he would make it his job to remark as many as he could. But for now, he could at least check the river. It was pouring and the river might threaten to overflow. And if it did, the waters would last a while before disappaiting. It might block hunting for a while.

The dark-furred Gamma crossed the borders into unclaimed territory towards the Whitefish River, treading carefully. Already the ground close to the river squelched. Yep, there would be flooding.

He finally reached the river, but stayed a safe distance away from it. He stood on the edge of the stony bank, observing the river. It was surging strongly, more powerful than it usually was. When he turned his head to see the looks of the river from its source, he saw another creature loping by the bank. Another wolf? A small one at that. "Looks to me like there might be flooding." he called to the wolf, starting a polite conversation.
And there it was, just what she had been waiting for. Rahzie's ears spun behind her as she heard a male voice, and stopped her parade. Her paws slowly began to sink into the ground, her weight not enough to really draw her into the mud. "Looks to me like there might be flooding." The voice called to her. Rahzie looked sideways back over her shoulder, and was not disappointed by what her dark brown eyes found.

In the gloom of the rain, the male's coat looked all but black. She caught a flash of his piercing blue eyes, and smiled mischievously, studying him for a brief moment. He was handsome. Tall but not too tall, well built, and those eyes stood out beautifully against their dark backdrop. This would be fun. "You think so?" The coywolf responded coyly, turning back to face him, paws falling gracefully in the tight circle.

She decided not to approach quite yet. This male was much bigger than her - and if he was not happy to play, she didn't want to face any physical consequences. "You a pack wolf?" She called out to him, a hint of playful energy in her voice, unable to scent him well over the rain.
He nodded, looking at the female he was speaking to. On closer inspection, he noticed something about this female. She was small, but she clearly looked like an adult. Her build was wiry and lean, a runner's body. The wolf(?)'s pelt was an almost purple gray-brown. What interested him most was her ears, which looked suspiciously like a coyote's....

"Yes. From Silvertip Mountain." He gestured towards the mountain where his pack was residing....for now. The move would happen soon, right after they took care of business with Wheeling Gull Isle. "Are you from a pack as well, miss....?" He had an inkling that this was a coyote-wolf hybrid he was speaking to. He wondered what pack would accept a creature of her kind, if any pack. He wasn't sure if Jinx would allow any hybrid into their midsts, but she might surprise him one day.
"Yes. From Silvertip Mountain." The handsome male responded to her question, gesturing towards the horizon's most prominent feature. Rahzie briefly glanced back at it, but her face did not turn away from him, and soon enough her brown eyes were back on him as well. The packlands were far enough away that she was not threatening their borders... so that was one possible game-ender that was taken out of the question.

"Are you from a pack as well, miss....?" "Rahxethe Abenaki." She introduced herself unabashedly, and took a couple slow steps forward, crossing one paw directly in front of the other in a show of grace. "Please, though..." She dipped her head, but her eyes still looked up at the almost-black male. "Rahzie."

The coywolf brought her head back up, level with the male's, but stopped her approach. The lithe woman was making calculated moves to test his boundaries while not risking herself, quite yet. "And, no, I am not from a pack." She answered his question, then tilted her head slightly to the side. "What should I call you, Dark Horse?"
The coyote-wolf, or whatever they called themselves: coywolf? Introduced herself as Rahxethe Abenaki, a name he could not pronounce. Luckily she had a shorter name: Rahzie. As she gave her introduction, the small hybrid stepped forward gracefully, looking up at him with dark eyes. He was suspicious, but knew from her body language that this wasn't an attack. She was too small anyway. And she had no reason to, she was not from a rival pack (all packs were rivals).

Then was the question of his name. But she called him Dark Horse? What kind of nickname was that? "My name is Kaname Sicarius." he said, observing her movements. "What brings a lovely little lady like you so close to the river? You could get swept underneath a wave."
Rahzie noticed that the male was observing her. Other than that, she couldn't get a full read on him. Was he interested? Suspicious? It was hard to tell. He introduced himself with his full name as well, though, and that boded well in her mind. Kaname Sicarius. The coywolf liked the way that name sounded.

"What brings a lovely little lady like you so close to the river? You could get swept underneath a wave." 'Game on,' Rahzie thought to herself at his words, and couldn't help but let an impish grin cross her face. She paused for a moment, choosing her words carefully. "I'm a bit of a risk taker, you see," She spoke playfully, her brown eyes glittering mischievously as she took a few steps again - this time at a bit of an angle away from Kaname, beginning to very slowly trace out an arc around him, just a couple body-lengths away. "And I ain't afraid of a challenge." The coywolf's voice was low, carrying a tone as if she was daring him, though to do what she left open to interpretation.
As the coy wolf slowly circled him, the wheels in his head finally clicked. Ah. She's trying to seduce me. He wanted to laugh at the thought. He was not into coyotes at all, let alone a hybrid bastard of one.

She was being rather subtle about it, slowly testing her chances, but he could mirror her and do the opposite, slowly and subtly rejecting her. "I can see you are...but aren't some challenges even a bit much for the bravest of daredevils?"
Rahzie continued to slowly circle him, trying to inconspicuously spiral in closer to him. She knew that the closer she came to the big dark male, the more risky she was being - but though she was very aware of the risk, she savored it. Some could say the small coywolf had a death wish, but she didn't see it that way. She saw it as truly living; allowing herself the pleasure of adrenaline seeping into her blood.

"I can see you are..." Rahzie's ear flicked at this as her arc had taken her behind him and around to his side, just barely out of his reach now. "but aren't some challenges even a bit much for the bravest of daredevils?" 'Ooo, he's good,' Rahzie thought, picking up the nuance in his words. This one really was going to be a challenge. The coywolf welcomed it. She stopped her circling, just a few paces away from being directly in front of him, less than a body-length away now. She cocked her head to the side, watching Kaname's icey blue eyes through the droplets of rain falling between them. "Some, maybe." Rahzie admitted, though the coy smirk did not leave her face. "Depends how much the challenge means to the daredevil." The lithe woman paused, then cocked her head to the other side. "I'm sure you must be familiar with those kinds of challenges, Kaname?"
Kaname's icy eyes followed the coywolf as she circled him slowly. He noted that she was getting closer to him as she walked around him. Sneaky little minx isn't she? She stopped in front of him then, a few steps away from him. Her smirk didn't leave her face all the while, though he kept his face passive.

"Oh indeed I am. Though, I have seen much bigger challenges in my day."

Rahzie watched the much bigger male as his expression remained passive and cool. "Oh indeed I am. Though, I have seen much bigger challenges in my day." The coywolf couldn't help it - she laughed out loud, lifting her head towards the sky. It was no secret he had called her out on her size. She was all too used to being the smallest in the crowd, but she could not care less about it. She had never found it to be something to be self-conscious about.

As her brief outburst of laughter ended, she dropped her head and shook it - eyes looking through the rain and locking with Kaname's. "You're good, Dark Horse." A coy smile tugged at the corner of her lips, and she took a deliberate step towards him. "You win this time," she murmured. She looked him up and down, not hiding that she was checking him out. "Next time, play a little nicer and you might find it to be a little more..." She paused, letting the coy smile take over her maw. "...more pleasurable."
Her reaction to his dismissal was unexpected at best. Laughter? Why on Earth would she laugh at him? Her mirth ended, she brought her gaze back to him, locking eyes with the assassin. She smiled, stepping closer, eyes wandering over his body. He didn't move, only keeping his gaze on her. He wanted to laugh when she said that their next meeting would be more "pleasurable". "Little one, I'm afraid I might break you if we did anything of the pleasure persuasion."
ooc: if you don't mind, this will be the last post from me! if you would like to continue longer PM me and I can edit it, but I figure I should move towards focusing on the Rahzie/Meldresi thread. :)

The big dark male did not move when she advanced towards him, which only served to embolden her. The coywolf's brown eyes unabashedly savored the strength in his shoulders, the sharpness of his jaw, and the contrast of his light eyes to his dark fur. She drank in his scent, smelling that of his pack's mixed with the earthy bit of his own. "Little one, I'm afraid I might break you if we did anything of the pleasure persuasion." Rahzie let out a snort of laughter, her coy smile still curling her lips. She didn't much appreciate being called "Little One"... it sounded like a term of endearment used on a child, but she didn't give up her composure.

"Maybe," She said unhurriedly. "But I may be stronger than you think." She paused for a moment, then ducked her head and stepped around to Kaname's side. The wiry girl would not touch him, but she allowed her long tail to gracefully weave not a foot from the dark male's chest. "I'm sure I will see you again, Kaname," Rahzie promised, and gave one last smirk over her shoulder to the Dark Horse, before trotting away upstream. The game was over, for now.
No this is fine. We could always do another thread if Rahzie joins OS for a while. Thanks for the thread! :)

With his final rejection in place, the coywolf took off, though not without flirting with her one more time. Kaname shook his damp fur, though to no avail, since the rain was still coming down hard. While it was flattering to be flirted with for once, he was not interested in a coywolf of all things.

He turned back to the mountain, hoping to get out of this rain as soon as possible. There was another small female he'd rather keep company with there. Though their relationship hadn't gotten to the flirting level yet, she was still the only female friend he had.

Exit.
