Following a series of disjointed reveries, Chrysanthemum was suddenly thrust from the theater of the mind. Catapulted back into hard reality with a force, she broke though a thick wall of realization on her way out. Death, strangers, Bughuul -it was the worst sort of briefing as it split her head in two and caused a somatic response that nagged her already tender wounds. Rocking against the ground as her feet pawed helplessly against it, after a beat there was a spell of deep hacking followed by a pitiful whimper. It was all just a dream -well sort of. Twittering her ears as her wits regrouped from the scatter, Chrys enjoyed a few deep breaths while returning her head to the ground.

Pivoting on her chin, she attempted to ascertain her location, but with little success. It was; dark, warm and reeking of herbs, but that was about it. While most would've launched into a full on terror at the notion of being kidnapped Chrysanthemum was eerily calm. Hell, it wouldn't be the first time that she was snatched from life as she knew it, and furthermore in the given situation it was actually all apart of thickening the plot...

She didn't want to think about that stuff just now though, and so centered her head again before sighing. As these things went Chrysanthemum was sure that she wouldn't be by herself for long -the captors always returned... always. So it was without the will or even the actual means to escape that the ragdoll puppy relaxed as much as she could and simply -waited.

Nerian did not take the pup to her own den she brought her to a convalescent den close to the garden she had pain stakingly planted not to long ago, Her tired paws and nails plunging into the earth yet again the dig a crude den necessary to keep the bugs at bay. her nails bleed from the repeated abused but he ignored them they'd stop eventually and the soreness would go away.

She had surround the poor pup with Lemon balm plant to help keep the bug away and also tucked close to the pup was a few stones of Rose Quartz Nerian liked using that stone because it held a gentle energy. She was told it was a heart healer of physical ailments as well as emotional heartbreaks and aliments. And it seemed the pup was having some bad dreams or other aliments she hoped to help soothe the young ones mind and soul too.

Nerian had found a small Boswellia tree and managed to get some leaves which she had painstaking prepared for the young pup, she didn't want to tie her poppy seed for the pain and Boswellia had been known for it's anti-inflammatory effect aswell which the girl needed to, Nerian placed a small powder coated piece of fish infront of the girl

eat please... she murmured as she settled in next to the girl checking on her poultices

Unused to her current surroundings, Crys wondered begrudgingly about her proximity to Poet Vale. In her travels with Bughuul he had been certain to make their course as winding as possible -as if she stood a chance against the many varied terrains anyhow. So now, with the scent of their boarders so hopelessly distant, Chrysanthemum was faced with yet another sense of loss

Exhaling in a huff, the puppy repositioned her head on the tops of her outstretched legs. In a lot of ways she felt like a kid with their nose pressed to the window as the family moving truck carried them far away from everything familiar. At this her ears folded as her tail curled closer, somehow at the peak of the summer day -she felt cold.

Somewhat surprised by the woman's sudden approach -it was worth noting that it was a mildly pleasant one. Chrysanthemum had grown tired of her lonliness. Waving the end of her tail, she greeted her nurse as any puppy would. Whimpering soft-heartedly as she strained to kiss the woman's chin, it was obvious that injury aside -nature prevailed. Luckily, for her the etiquette wise salutation paid off in the form of an unexpected meal. Suddenly remembering her hunger, Chrys required little encouragement to accept the token. Sniffing it only briefly she swallowed the larger half and threw her head back while attempting to take it in one gulp. However when this failed she broke it in half and then greedily swiped the fractured pieces from the ground.
sorry the kids were sick then I caught what they had, made for a very uncomfortable couple of days

Nerian nodded contentedly she could administer more Boswellia tomorrow but for now it was just time that would heal the young pup. then maybe she could finally do something right and offer a healed pack member to Ragnar.

Nerian sniffed the wounds gently she couldn't see below the poultice but she'd have to wash it off in the light of tomorrow and re-administer it.

Young one, what is your name? She asked softly I'm Nerian.... Do you hurt anywhere else? Nerian was concerned because if there were hidden wounds she'd have to treat those to. Exhuasted from her medication preparation Nerian lay her head down and closed her eyes prepared to listen to the little one but if there were no other wounds perhaps a little nap would do wonders for them both

Oh you're plenty fine! I've got a 2 year old and another one on the way myself... so I understand completely lol x_x

As she scavenged scraps from ground Chrys temporarily forgot about her hospitable host. Shuffling her nose over the surface of the flattened grass, she was ultra meticulous in her search for any crumbs. Once satisfied that it had all been devoured the puppy set about cleaning herself. First her lips, and then her extended paws were licked until it all glistened with wet saliva.

Thinking of Nerian then, Chrys turned her head towards the nurse who had settled beside her. Ignorant as to her want for rest, the older puppy kissed the crease of her nearest eye and then the bridge of her nose. Of course Chrysanthemum had promised to exercise caution with the unfamiliar wolves of Stavanger Bay, but it was terribly difficult for her heart to resist. It had just been such a miserably long time since she had received any kind of consideration.

Becoming self conscious then, the juvenile ceased her affections and tossed her head atop her legs. She was prepared for a small doze herself, but before she could get that comfortable Nerian posed her question. Turning her ear out and towards the wolf, Chrys thought for a short time before shaking her head. The medic had been entirely too kind already -and besides there was next to nothing that could be done for the pale youth's worse wounds.... But all the same she figured that she owed her caretaker the small privilege of her name, "Chrysanthemum... -Chrys... you? "

Every leery bone in her body urged Chrys to be silent then -and only speak again when spoken to. However, there was something about the woman's company that put her in a lull of security. Surely she could trust her with the most basic of queries. "Where am I?" After such a pause the question was like an awkward interruption, but she hardly cared. It was worth knowing, and if she had been informed prior to that point, the information had been lost somewhere in the purple haze...

Nerian yawned and lifted her head, as she was kissed, it certainly seemed the young one was coming around she smiled fondly at the newly introduced Chrysanthemum, she herself had been stolen from her home trapped in a land with out anyway to get back and now she was unable to return even if she had the means too.

Any questions she had would be answered to the best of Nerian's ability for that basic right she, herself was denied, when she found herself in a strange place. You are in the newly founded Stavanger bay, under the rule of Ragnar. She noted Chrysanthemum's search for any scraps so she offered her more information I will feed you again in about an hour; I want to be sure your tummy can handle the food. your fish was covered with a medicine that was particularly hard to make so I'd not want to see it thrown-up. It will stop the swelling in your wounds.

Nerian desperately wanted to ask about them but their origin would not change the treatment so the knowledge of where the wounds came from would only soothe her curiosity and that didn't need to be soothed Chrysanthemum did. and she wasn't about to drew bad memories to the surface if she didn't have too.

Nerian licked her sore nails gently the bleeding had stopped but any amount of exhaustion in the next 24 to 48 hours could reopen her sore toes. nothing she had in her inventory would help and she didn't want to have painkillers on board while watching the young girl.

Nerian reached over and nuzzled the young girl and licked the back of her head gently. offering to groom her.

Ragnar, he was there that day too -right? In moments of quiet Chrysanthemum often attempted to piece together the most recent details of her life. Some aspects seemed hopelessly elusive, but others had filled in rather nicely when coaxed with a bit of effort.

"I remember coming through a place with lots of trees... somewhere, but what's the terrain like here?" Granted her current condition Chrys imagined that it couldn't be too taxing. Surely she hadn't scaled the side of some perilous mountain in her previous state. To some it might've seemed a trivial fact, but to the puppy it was worth the inquiry. She had so loved the floral meadow that was Poet Vale, she privately hoped that Stavanger Bay was at least somewhat like that.

Nodding her head as the medicine woman announced her plans for supper, Chrysanthemum had no choice but to agree. Obviously, she lacked any sort of decorum when it came to her table manners -at least for the time being, so it probably was for the best that Nerian exercised restraint on her behalf. "I'm grateful for the help, I really am," she said slanting her muzzle towards her nurse. "I'll do whatever you require of me."

At first when she felt the wolf's tongue on the back of her head, Chrys momentarily stiffened. The last time she had been touched so tenderly -Bughuul As her eyes widened, her stomach flopped and she immediately felt dizzy. It was just a memory now, but unfortunately it was a dreadfully strong one. Shuffling slightly away from the kind wolf, Chrys offered a stiff and uncomfortable laugh before apologizing. "I'm sorry... you're too kind it's just...," but before she could finish her voice became weak and she stared at her own paws in a miserable shame. Of course she could only hardly see the one thanks to her damaged right eye, but all the same she could no longer look towards Nerian.
sorry these posts are just crap I've lost my muse for this character I need a jump start *looks for a car battery and booster cables*

Nerian looked perplexed, and asked in the most soothing voice she could Who or what is Bughuul .... I'd like to help... Nerian nudged the girls shoulder. I mean you no harm just the opposite, I want to protect you from any more, ever if I could help it She whispered

Nerian shifted closer to the pup but just lay so her body was pressed against her offering her warmth and nothing else or the comfort of closeness if you can't tell me... then rest. when you wake up I'll need to know if you are sore anywhere or have anything else wrong with you. Maybe we could go for a short walk.... Nerian hoped to draw some good reaction out of the girl. So far the poor pup was nothing but a traumatized mess.

It wasn't often that Chrysanthemum wasted her time with pining over impossible differences in her life. But in her unadulterated kindness Nerian inspired such thoughts. Chrys wished that she had been a member of Poet Vale -there to protect her on the day that Bughuul had taken her away. Again though, the longing was obviously futile, and so the puppy tried her best to just let it go like everything else that hurt.

Whimpering more so to herself than Nerian, Chrys allowed her pained silence to answer for her. Bughuul was and more than likely always would be an topic that defied discussion. Instead, Chrysanthemum decided to do something nice in the hopes of cheering them both. Accepting the medic's increased proximity this time around, she gave attention to her mangled toes. Licking them in smooth rolls with her wet tongue, she did so until thr work grew tiresome and then laid down to rest. It may not have been perfect but her blossoming life in Nerian's hollow was a much appreciated starting place.
I'm going to fade this one out

Nerian decided that she young companion was just going to be silent about her past and she was not going to pry, it was not her place. she was going to make a note but allow the girl to move on. Nerian inspected the young ones feet and decided that time would be the best cure for those wounds.

Nerian nuzzled her gently Sleep well To pass time Nerian hummed a lullaby she knew from herown childhood though the language wouldn't be understood here she tune was rather soothing. She hummed it until she herself was lulled to sleep by it.
