Catch the stick. That was the name of her new game, the rules were very simple. You had to catch the stick but there was a catch, every successful catch made it harder. You had to throw the stick in the air and for every catch, you had to spin that many more times while it was in the air before you could catch it again.

Fun right? Oh yes!

Nine. That was the number she was on right now, and boy was she getting dizzy. She threw the stick this time but once she reached her tenth turn she had lost track of her stick and was falling into the new spring grass and wildflowers. Damn. A chorus of laughter followed, a sound that could be called childish giggling more than an adult laugh.

The world was spinning! Oh man! Her pale eyes seemed to move from side to side in rapid secession before she settled on watching the clouds dance above her spinning world but then she remembered. Wait, where did that stick go? Her head shot up only to fall back down, still dizzy. Another round of giggles.
she had left Moonspear for the first time in days.

eager to explore her new pack's land, Bee wanted to know everything before the Teekons swallowed her up again. whispers of adventure pulled her away from her packmates and her new duties. she must have walked the length of the mountain a good three times. finding nothing and seeing nobody, the girl exited. there were so many people in Moonspear; they wouldn't miss her for long! they had plenty of people to do patrols. she didn't even know what they really were anyway.

did she bark or yip when she saw someone new? but... but everyone was new to her! how was she to distinguish? pack scent? she was still so very new to the Teekons that her nose wasn't workin' properly. it'd take her at least a month to work everything out. she'd never been in a pack before. excuse her ignorance. she'd learn. she would! "oooh?" her blue gaze lifted to the fields, realizing she had been staring at the ground the whole walk. the giggles of another brought her back to reality.

"whatcha doing?" she'd leap toward the stranger, excited at the prospect of a new friend.
The world began to slow. The spinning, the dizziness, it was all fading as her peels of laughter drifted off in the soft breeze. Pale jade eyes peered out through the emerald strands of grass, reveling in the sight and feel of it against her fur. Dark nostrils flared as they took in the many scents around her, little red blooms called indian paintbrushes, tiny white flowers called monkey flowers. All the flowers were beginning to come to life, the moment she had waited for all winter long. Flowers, flowers, and more flowers!

A sigh came then, still a happy sound as she rolled onto her back and kicked her paws into the air only to roll back onto her side again. Ah, but she was no longer alone! THe darker girl leaped at her and all she could do was stare, she was so lovely!

whatcha doing?

What was she doing again? Oh, right! Playing catch the stick, where was the stick again? "Playing games!" she chimed as she lifted her head off of the soft ground before bringing herself to a seated position, her tail thumping against the ground in a rather audible sound. Pale jade eyes moved to look around, finally finding the stick in question. Without thought she leaped from her position and onto the stick, grasping it in her lips before trotting back to the stranger.

FOUND IT!

She placed it on the ground before she looked at the pretty woman again. "You are very pretty!" She exclaimed, a smile breaking out on her lips as her paw moved to push at the stick once more. Would she like to play her game?
Willoughby would watch as the other continued on her little game. for it was a game, as 'playing' usually was. she'd tilt her head and grin naively. she didn't know what game it was, or what the goal was, but the other girl had a stick. maybe she'd let her play...? 'you're very pretty' caused her to blink. her head tilted further. "am I?" she didn't really have a vain side. looking at herself in the water didn't cause her to swoon.

"oooh" she'd pause, furrowing her brows before she yipped a reply "but you're pretty too!" it was only polite to say it back, wasn't it? plus, Bee thought everyone was pretty in their own way. everyone had their own unique specialness that made them super great. the girl would nudge the stick toward her, causing Bee to drop to her front legs and nose it gently. "can I play?" her rear was in the air, her tail a swooshing motion behind her.
The lady didn't seem to understand, asking if the child really meant to say she was pretty but after a while that confused look changed. "Yes, you are very pretty!" the silver haired angel exclaimed again, confirming it further. Yes, indeed she was a beautiful girl! So unique, so dappled! And her nose was pink! So strange. A giggle escaped her lips when the complement was thrown back, the pretty lady thought she was pretty? Really? She thought internally before voicing it out loud, "really?" She spoke in awe and amazement, no one but Clayton and Shepard had called her anything but cute.

Her cheeks flushed a soft pink before her attention was easily drawn back to the stick she had nudged closer to the dappled girl. The child mirrored her. Her chest touching the soft earth, her rear high in the air, and her tail swinging excitedly back and forth. Can I play? Yes, yes, yes! This is what she wanted, someone to play with! "Yes!" She bounced in place as she seemed to get more and more excited.

"It's called 'Catch the Stick!' So what you do.." Quickly she grabbed the stick and demonstrated the rules but quickly flicking the stick into the air before spinning once. When it came back down she leaped at it and caught it, this is when she explained what she did. She placed the stick down at the girl's feet. "Okay, so.. you throw the stick into the air and spin once, and catch it after one turn. next you do the same thing but spin twice. You do this over and over again until you fall over dizzy!" She laughed, spinning twice with excitement. "Wanna try?" Please say yes, please say yes!
the confirmation just sailed over her head, choosing to focus on the other girl's exclamation of her own prettiness. it was going to be a very odd time when she came into heat in a few months; she'd probably just ignore all the suitors (if she got any) in favor of playing equally with both boys and girls. "course!" Bee replied, once more ignoring anything that may place her on a vain platter. beauty was often in the eye of the beholder; even if she thought everyone was pretty in their own way. yes. it was going to be interesting indeed. probably making all the people give up in frustration, she was.

"yay!" the girl would whoop at the other's acceptance. she'd rise briefly to plant her paws back on the ground. a little leap of eagerness. buzzing beneath her coat. "ooh, I haven't played that before!" Bee wondered if the girl had made it up or if it was a tradition to the Teekons. she'd tilt her head at the verbal and physical explanation, eyes wide. "what happens if you don't catch it? do you still spin?" she wanted to know all the rules before committing herself to involvement. she didn't want to make a fool of herself!
The lady had never played her gamebefore but it was not like the child could act surprised by this fact, after all, she had made the game up when she was just a tiny girl. She had roped Clayton into playing with her a long time ago but he was so large that he could never spin fast enough to catch the stick more than two times, it was always funny when he fell down and gave up their merry game. He always said he would just watch her play since she was so good at it, she almost giggled at the memory until the pretty lady's voice came again.

what happens if you don't catch it? do you still spin?

For a moment she thought about that question, before or after you throw it? She titled her head to the side as she tried to think of an answer, she never thought about it. "Hmmmmmm..." SHe hummed to herself as she waved her tail in the air in excitement, she thought it would be more fun if you did spin even if you did not catch it but she had not added it to the rules. "I would think so but I guess that is up to you, this is a game i made up when I was really small so... I never thought about that. You can add that as a rule!" She said in a chime-like tone, she tilted her head again curious of what this girl would add to her game. Would they add this as a new rule to the game 'Catch the Stick'?
Bee's face would scrunch, her brows furrowing in thought. so the girl hadn't thought of that, huh? well, that was okay! she took it as a sign that she was destined to meet the other. to add a fun rule to her game. her gaze would clear back to the happy one before she plucked the stick from the ground. jerking her head upward, she threw the stick as far and as high as possible. trying to keep it in her sights and still spin in a circle, she quickly got dizzy.

the object came clattering down to the earth. Bee felt herself rise up to try and catch it, but missed spectacularly. her muzzle bit into the air as the stick passed her by. in an effort to try to catch it again, she shot her head down to follow it. she only succeeded in tripping herself over it. "oop!" was the only word she could manage as she crashed face first into the earth. her pink nose smarted but otherwise, she was perfectly fine.

"ow ow ow..." the girl would huff, laying there tangled. trying to see straight again. she saw stars. oh that was fun.
the child watched with great interest as her new playmate moved to play the game she had created when she was a very small girl. seafoam green eyes tracked her movements as she picked up the worn stick, the ladybug gave her an encouraging yip as she bounced from one foot to the next. she just could not sit still, this was just too exciting! someone else was playing her game, someone else wanted to be foolish and carefree!

the girl was not that good at her game but she did not expect anyone to be as good as she was, after all, she had been playing a lot longer. so much longer. she watched as the girl spun, putting the rules in a different order than she explained but she was not a good teacher so she did not mind. everyone would have their own way in playing any game she came up with, as long as everyone was having fun. that was her only goal.

ow ow ow...

oh no, oh no, oh no. she quickly launched herself at the girl when she fell face first into the ground. to be completely honest, it was rather comical but she was taught to check on the hurt first and if they were okay. well, then you could laugh to your heart's content. "are you okay!?" her words were high pitched as she bit back a string of giggles but worry was present as well. her tongue came out, aiming to lick her playmate between the ears. as if she could take away any pain she felt.
"pfftt!" Bee would spit out some dirt, tongue rolling from her jaws. at least she didn't bite it. that would be painful! the girl launched herself at her fallen form, giving her a swift lick between the ears as if she felt it would be comforting. "I'm okay!" she could have impaled herself on the stick so... always think on the bright side!

she'd rise to all fours, glad the stick hadn't been snapped in half by the force. it didn't hurt when she moved around, so that was good. "I'm Willoughby, by the way!" she would grin through the small tremors of discomforted bruising. they hadn't exactly introduced themselves. "but people call me 'Bee'" she'd add. her head tilted. "who are you?"
