Ghostface

Tagging @Peregrine, @Atticus, @Blue Willow, and @Dante, join me.
Assuming this is a meeting thread.

Ghostface was trekking along the borders of the unfamiliar territory, unsure if she should enter to ask if she could join their ranks. She whined like a lost puppy. Howling, she called out, asking for the alpha(s), Beta(s), and Gamma. If they came, she might be accepted. Sitting down, she hoped and wished they would come.
Dante was looking for prey when he heard the call go up. Aware that the leadership still might not be in a place to deal with such intrusions, he immediately abandoned his hunt to attend to it. As an aspiring warden it fell under his duties as well to protect these lands and all in them from such incursions. The call sounded innocent enough but one could never be sure.

The wolf was fairly close so Dante made good time at a run. As he approached he looked her over. Her coat was rather unique, but he was more interested in her manner. She was seated, a good non-aggressive sign, so his hackles lowered as he slowed to a walk. Stopping a few feet away, he remained silent, waiting for her to make her intentions known more clearly.

Ghostface

"Hello," she stated calmly, not wanting to startle the wolf. "I am here to ask you to take me to your camp. @Peregrine told me to find another wolf to guide me. Would you?" She slowly stood up, crossing the borders warily, not sure if she could or not. Starting towards him, she soon sat down on their side of the border. (Can Dante drive me off until Perry, Blue, or Atticus get here?)

Posting order: Ghostface>Dante>Perry>repeat, unless somebody else joins this thread.
Clarifying something: it states in several places that BDP is OOC joining only. With that in mind, I'm going to play it like Perry's already accepted Ghostface...

Peregrine made his way toward Fox's temporary campsite, a small rat dangling from his mouth. When he arrived there, he found her sound asleep. He laid the gift on the ground near her nose, then decided to sit with her a little while. She didn't stir, so when a howl rose up in the distance, he gave her a last lingering look, then plodded away toward the borders.

He found his dutiful Gamma there, standing across from the pack's new Kappa. Ghostface was the first wolf Peregrine had personally accepted in some time. There seemed to be a sense of confused urgency about her as the Alpha male approached, head and tail arching slightly. He took a breath and looked between the two, wondering why they were standing here of all places.

"What is it?" he asked, blinking wearily at Ghostface.

Ghostface

As soon as one of her new alpha's came, she groveled on the ground, exposing her stomach and neck, showing utmost respect. "Nothing, nothing," she said. "I was just asking this here wolf," she flicked her tail at Dante. "To show me to the rendezvous site. I was afraid he would push me out of the borders until you got here, or the other alpha, Blue Willow, I think was her name."
Sorry to post out of order (which you also did) but I'm pulling him from this thread since he's not really needed. My apologies, Starrlight! :/

"Yes, her name is Blue Willow, and this would be our Gamma, Dante," Peregrine replied, a little put out by this turn of events. Why had she called for a leader specifically? "When I accepted you, you became a member of this pack. You're welcome to move freely about the pack territory," he added, wondering if she was a bit thick in the head to have to be told this. "And as for the rendezvous site, only myself, my pups and a few other close relatives live there. You're welcome to visit but you'll need to find your own place to stay..."

The Alpha male exchanged a quizzical and slightly apologetic look with his trusty sub-leader before saying, "If that's all, I need to get back to what I was doing," and promptly turned, taking his leave. There were wolves that really needed him, unlike Ghostface.
totally fine!!!

Dante nodded. So she was a new recruit. If that was the case then he'd be happy to show her to camp. The new location might be confusing for her to navigate for a while. Before he could speak, however, Peregrine appeared. After all, she had called him as well.

He seemed content to pass the task onto Dante, a not unexpected turn since the alpha was typically pretty busy. He gave a small nod in response to Perry's look... He would handle this. "A pleasure, Ghostface. As he said, my name is Dante. Follow me? I can show you where Peregrine resides and where we most often gather." He set off in the direction of the clearing where the pack most often met. As they walked, he looked sideways at her. "Where do you hail from, Ghostface, if you don't mind me asking?"
Continuing this sans Ghostface so you can use this toward your Warden Trade. Uh, playing fast and loose with everybody's characters here. Let me know if you mind!

Peregrine headed directly back to where he'd left Fox, only to find her still asleep, the rat untouched. He sat down near her head and kept a quiet vigil. He didn't move for a long time, twitching back into motion only when he heard footfalls in the distance. He cocked his head. They were coming closer. Soon, he heard voices. Dante and Ghostface? he thought. Must be giving her a tour...

He wanted to keep them from coming by here and disturbing his sleeping guest, so Peregrine rose and trotted to meet them. By the time he found them, them was only him. The tour had evidently ended and Ghostface was nowhere to be seen. Dante stood alone in the shade of an oak tree, perhaps deliberating what to do now that this task was complete.

"Hello again. How'd it go? Please tell me she's not as daft as she seems..."
Totally fine!!!

The tour had gone as per usual. His charge was a bit... odd, but she meant well he supposed. She ducked out pretty quickly when he finished, leaving him alone with his thoughts. Seemed he had a penchant for dealing with the stranger elements of the pack.

He was in fact wondering how to proceed with his day when he caught sight of Peregrine's approach. He chuckled at the Alpha's question. "Not quite, though odd indeed. It'll be... interesting... to see how she holds in the pack." If she wasn't suited to the life then she would leave, simple as that. The same had happened with others before her and would occur again with those after. Not every wolf could be a fit in every pack. He would watch her with interest and try to help if he could but there was only so much he could do. If she was incompatible then no amount of work on his part would fix that.
I think this makes post #10. If you want to wrap up at any time, feel free!

Peregrine licked his chops and made a thoughtful noise, though he didn't reply. Ghostface reminded him of Fireblaze. If she turned out to be similar, the Alpha male hoped she would go the same way as Fireblaze—that was, away from the plateau. Some wolves just didn't fit in here.

"So, are you working on becoming a Warden?" he wondered conversationally. "We could always use some more of those," he encouraged.
Dante nodded. "Figure I'd put my skills to use here." Though he had been trained practically from birth as a warrior, he had no desire to take that rank here. He had brought enough death upon others without provocation. Instead he would simply defend against those who sought to harm then instead. His days of seeking out fights were done.

"I think, for now, some sleep would not be so terrible," he added, yawning hugely. "If you don't mind?" There wasn't anything currently that required his attention and he had been keeping himself busy rather effectively. His habit of walking the lands had him on odd hours but he enjoyed his nighttime antics.

thank you!!! You can respond or just archive, doesn't matter to me! <3
Peregrine nodded, further showing his approval. His head shook the next moment when Dante announced that he needed some sleep. "Go on," he said amiably. "I always found giving tours exhausting too," he quipped, giving Dante a parting smile before padding back to Fox's campsite again, just in time to catch the sleeping beauty awakening...
