Traveler noted the U-bend below him and glided downward on the wind to study the bend more closely. He turned to follow the bend, dipping one wing downward further to make the turn and then evened out again to follow the line of rock, staring at the edge where the grass turned to grey, jagged stone. It ran out and the ground became flat again, so he turned and followed it back up, turning once more to follow the bend in the opposite direction. A rabbit dashed away, startled by his presence. Perhaps it thought him a hawk or some other bird of prey. No. The rabbit would not be killed by him. He only ate the dead.
