Parvati was lingering near the altar today. There was no reason for her to be there, and she certainly was not there to supplicate before a god she did not hold favor with. There was a power in the soil here though, a sense, a presence. Maybe it was this sense of otherness that piqued her curiosity.

She came without an offering; it didn't cross her busy mind until she was nearer to the altar, and then she was focused on the putrid sight of wilted greens and moss-choked stone. There were bones turning a noxious shade of puke brown. It didn't look right to her. Whether it was appropriate or not, the woman began to clear away some of the waste and the overgrowth of slimy carpeting that the moss had become.
