@Bazi and @Scimitar sinces he's never far from her but let Bazi post first (Karm) I know we were going to thread searching, but since Danica is going tell everyone what happened figured I'd do one and I can easily delete this.

the aftermath of the battle had been almost soul crushing Jace was about tired of it, he was a little upset at Ferdie for keeping imp captive, but he knew why he had. But she was so darn stubborn he was scared to death something would happen to her if she pushed her boundaries. He limped down the mountainside straight for the creek borders he didn't trust the femme they sent back one iota she could tell them something completely wrong. He stood at the borders and he paced back and forth letting loose a howl calling his one and only friend left there.

Tail lashin he tore up the ground from one end to the other if anyone else came near him right now he might very well rip them apart he was that irate. Who did fox think she was? she continually harassed and cajoled them knowing full well that they were not gentle creatures and the she brought imp and a damn juvenile child what was she thinkin!
I've made vague reference to @Scimitar - but if he would not have followed I think I have written it so that it's your choice, Rach.

Bazi's fury burned just as bright, fanned by every step she took in the direction of the Sunspire. The mountain no longer loomed the way it had yesterday, like a dark and distant threat. It was just a silly rock, inhabited by equally silly wolves that barely ever descended into the plains and certainly weren't worth the price that Fox had paid for the privilege of ruffling their feathers.

Leaf. Leaf had almost lost her life to water - never mind a pack of bristling wolves! And Magpie was barely chewing solid food (an exaggeration, but it fit better with Bazi's outrage to think of the juvenile wolf as wearing Maera's little face). What was it that Scimitar had said not too long ago? Those four pups will have a normal childhood - until we mess it up?

She was literally bristling when Jace's call rose into the air. Great minds, the Beta thought unsmiling, and took off immediately in the direction of the voice - if Scimitar followed, she would be grateful for his company, if only for another wolf of Swiftcurrent Creek to see the kind of soul that Jace was.

He was angry, and he did not hide it well, tail whipping against the ground like a cat about to relieve the nearest human of its eyes and lips. Bazi's nostrils flared as she drew up in front of him, panting hard from the sudden exertion. For a few seconds, she only stared, noting his injuries and taming the angry, useless words that chomped at the bit on the back of her tongue. "Jace. I know everything - about Fox." What could she say? Sorry - it won't happen again? Of course it would - this was Fox! What could Bazi possibly offer that would convince the Sunspire that no further attacks were forthcoming. It would take a very grand gesture indeed to even get close.

That was the moment a seed of treachery took root in Bazi's mind.

"Tell me what Ferdie's demands are."
Jace turned blue eyes with red hue towards his friend and before she spoke he spoke low, i swear by all that is holy Bazi if something happens to the imp or the little girl because your leader thinks she can do what she wants it will be no match for the fury and the upheavel i will bring down. I just want you to know that. He hadn't meant to say that first, it had just slipped out, but he meant it, he would kill fox and then kill whoever got in his way to get to her if anything happened to them, she had been a fool and now two innocents were paying for it.

He noticed her bristling fur and raised hackles clearly she was as furious as him. However, she did not have to fight as hard to turn the fury off if it nipped at her heels as it nipped at his. She was lucky that he was calm at the moment, and fighting tight to tamper down the flame that licked at his insides like molten lava. He imagined if it had been anyone but Bazi that had come to meet him at the borders he would have given them a face full of razor sharp teeth and bloody haunches from his claws. He was in no mood to be trifled with.

Jace turned towards her and he listened to her words and then he spoke softly his voice still edged in ice, Ferdie wants Fox nothing else will do. If he gets Fox we will let them go as they will and I will do my best to make sure no harm befalls them, it is not Ferdie that I worry about, but we got new recruits and I do not know them well enough to say they would not hurt a captive, and that is what they are captives.that last part he bit off with a snarl. he blew air sharply threw his nose as his pupils dilated and the red began to spread, but he kept his control but he did speak sharplyFOx came pissing on our borders with a yearling and a pup. Another came later...Bazi she knows we would meet her with violence I did last time and then she ran like a coward leaving them behind! The last part he yelled so loud the birds flew from the trees his sides were heaving in his anger.

He continued his furious pacing fighting hard to gain a semblance of control, a shred of calm.
Bazi met her friend's side of the tale with a silence and a stony, unblinking stare. It was as Danica had said, then, but Jace coloured in a number of details that only made things worse. The Sunspire was not a stable pack. In Swiftcurrent Creek, a mouthy upstart could be crushed instantly by the pack's many veterans - but on the mountain, they had a voice. She gave his poorly veiled passion for Leaf's well-being only brief thought - there would be time to unravel that thread later. For now, she thanked whatever fateful coincidence had brought the two wolves together - it seemed her capture was Jace's main reason for descending from his lofty home, and she was grateful for that.

"Then he can have her." The words slipped so easily from her mouth - like a sigh in the middle of the night. Jace paced like a caged animal. "But Fox is no longer here. It's true, Jace," Bazi had an embarrassing history of protecting the Creek's feisty little goblin of a wolf, but not now. Maera and Jökull's sweet little faces appeared before her again and again. What would it take to drive Ferdie to kidnap one of them? "Haunter died, and she just.. disappeared, without a word. It wasn't until Danica made it back from the Sunspire that any of us knew what was going on. Tuwawi is furious, Njal will side with her, the rest don't really speak their mind. Those that matter are just as sick of her antics as you are. And Ferdie," she grumbled as an afterthought.

@Jace After-edit! I want to give @Scimitar a chance to respond, so I will halt the posting now. ;)
Okay no problem I apologize in advance for the way that Jace will most likely treat him

Jace listened as he paced…fox wasn’t here, so where the hell was the feisty little firecracker. Are you sure that no one else will protect her? What about that wolf that came up to the mount with Njal the captive…uh cutthroat? Or this femme that came ot protect her this time? How are you so very certain that you’re pack will give her up Tuwawi and Njal maybe yes, but the others I do not know. If theres one thing that can be said about that fired furred bitch, it’s that she garners loyalty. He resumed moving about, having stopped to deliver those words his blue eyes moving to and fro across the grassy expanse, trying to calm the adrenaline fueled rage that threatened to choke him, perhaps it had not been smart of him to come right after the battle.

Jace tilted his head and spoke a biting words, Are you so sure Bazi? Njal hates both myself and Ferdie. he tried to bring a face to the name of Haunter, but he couldn’t bring it to mind’s eye. Who is Haunter? Was he here when I was? Did she kill him? It wouldn’t surprise him, she was a cold hearted bitch and selfish that much was obvious at least to him anyway. Perhaps to others she wasn’t selfish or cold, but to him to him she was the coldest ice queen he had ever met.

Jace looked at her What of Ferdie, he will honor his word, and I will deliver the captives myself if Fox surrenders, you can trust my word on that. Jace growled low in his throat and bent to tear up the ground with paws large and hefty. He was frustrated and furious and he didn't know what to do with the feelings that threatened to consume him.
Danica had opened up words that had sliced through Scimitar so very coldly -- when he had suggested they force the Sunspire away from their home, he had not meant for her to take a she-wolf no bigger than herself and ten times meeker.. and a near pup. It had become clear she would sacrifice anything for her own gain -- including her members.

Bazi was just as furious, and stiffly, the cinnamon male had followed behind her. When a resounding and infuriating howl had triggered Bazi to move faster, Scim too had sped forward.. though he would never be able to keep up with the little bullet, especially given his size.

But he came upon them, and the moment his eyes coldly fell upon Jace and Bazi, who spoke of simply trading Fox in, a low growl seeped past his throat as he pulled alongside the Beta, his gaze steadfast upon the darker male who had been cast from the creek and was so quick to speak to the ivory female with venom. "Do not speak to her that way. This was not her choice," he rumbled darkly, his own figure tensing as he quietly seethed at the idiot before him. "Your down here alone and making demands?" Already, his mind began to whirl.
Jace pelted here with questions. Bazi didn't know the answer to half of them - of course she wasn't sure that the pack would agree with her. "I can't give him Fox, and neither can anyone else in the pack. She left us, just as she left those two girls," she hissed irritably. Scimitar's arrival cut off whatever she was going to say next. Bazi presumed he had heard her throw Fox to the dogs, and the fact that he did not shy away from her for voicing that thought suggested that Fox was had done a great deal of damage to the seeds of loyalty she had supposedly sown.

Bazi's vast guardian was no fan of the Sunspire wraith's tone, but Jace and Bazi had always been frank with each other - today was no different, but it was not an appropriate way to communicate in the presence of company that might misconstrue their bickering as something more vicious.

"Ferdie doesn't know he's here," she clarified firmly, pressing her shoulder against Scimitar's. "Does he? He wouldn't send you here alone to negotiate. Jace cares about ours - about Leaf. But we can't sit around and wait for Fox to turn herself in. Those are Swiftcurrent wolves he's holding - and you said it yourself! What happens if one those fresh-faced vagrants decides that Ferdie's word is not the law of the land? What happens if someone takes a shine to Leaf - or Magpie? We can only cut ties with Fox. You have to make him believe that we will. Convince him. His problem is with Fox, not with two innocent girls." The second, unspoken option was clear to them all - the Creek would reclaim their children.

/Dramatic music plays
Jace stopped tearing up the ground to look at Bazi and the new comer, at the newcomers tone a growl worked it’s way up from deep in his throat and he said quietly Don’t test me you right bastard don’t test me at all I would rip your face off and feed it to you and if you want to take me to hell you better be damn sure I’d be taking you with me. And so what if I am down here by myself I didn’t call for you I called for Bazi I was talking to Bazi I don’t give a right nut whether or not you don’t like me or you think I’m a fool or any of that other bull shit all I care about is getting you your wolves back while getting the right fool for my leader so get over yourself. his blue eyes lowered in a frosty glare to punctuate his tone, he was not messing around if that wolf wanted his death so be it, he’d fight him for his life, and he’d take half of him with him if not all of it. He turned to Bazi then and spoke softly I told Fox when I left she’d let you all down, clearly she didn’t believe me granted not in those many words either. He couldn’t remember the right words, but he was fairly certain it had something to do with learning to listen to her subordinates or she would shape up to be a piss poor leader and she had.

Jace stared at the male again a glare fixed on his face and his eyes hard and cold, and tinged red still. No Ferdie doesn’t know I’m here and if he is mad I’ll deal with that myself, but I think as Beta I can certainly go down and negotiate if I have a mind too. Jace stared at Bazi and he spoke with venom on his words, If someone so much as looks at any of those girls crooked let alone Leaf I will rip their heart out their throat and shove it up their ass try me once. Jace stared at her listening to the next words and he bowed his head and his voice quiet you had to strain to hear. Bazi I don’t know if he will listen I will try, but I don’t know if he will listen and I can’t promise you that he will, all I can promise is that I will not let anything happen to the girls while their there. Ferdie won’t either, I told you he does not have a issue with them other than they pissed on the borders, but Fox well fox is another story. He sighed his large shoulders rolling as he shook his hackles unsure what to do now. He could go back and try and convince Ferdie, but he didn’t know if it would work or not. Realizing he had cursed in front of Bazi a lot he looked at her and spoke softly just for her I'm sorry for all the harsh language Bazi.
Sorry. Scim would not react in any other way to someone on his home lands treating him and Bazi like that. <3 Dice roll?

The words that slipped out from the male in direction to him on borders he protected elicited a dark snarl of his own -- a bubbling tension that spiraled to heights he had never met before given the situation he and the pack had only faced within the last few hours. His lips curled back to reveal his pink gums and he took paces closer, cutting Bazi away from the path of the psychopath so she could not be injured. Fox had done a lot of stupid things in the past.. but ridding the pack of this bloodthirsty fool had not been one of them.

His anger continued. One second. Two seconds. Three seconds. The Sunspire male continued to spit and rant -- cursing at him and arguring with Bazi.

The other continued talking -- like there would be no reprimand for anything he said. Like he was on some fucking high horse. The ebony male glared at him, as if this was supposed to put him in his place -- reminding him he was the Beta beside yet another psychotic creature that had nearly attacked a pup.

His muzzle jutted lower, his legs stiffening as his paws gripped the earth -- his mind continued to turn with what opportunity had arisen, and Jace's rage had only made it easier for him to make the decision. "Fox isn't here," he stated, deadpan, another snarl sluicing the tension filled air. "So I guess the Creek will need to use you as our trade off." He did not wait for words -- with his muzzle lowered, the hefty male leapt forward, his paws dancing upon the ground as his jaws opened, snapping in the direction of the other to catch him on the neck or face. If the asshole wanted a fight, he had certainly got one.
I will spectate! Depending on what you guys decide, please feel free to post without me for a while and tag me back in when you think it's appropriate.

As ever, Jace lacked the humility to shut his mouth for the greater good, even for a second. He fired poisonous words - ten times the amount he had received - at Scimitar, who he had never met, and who had just been informed that his alpha was gone and that the Sunspire had captured two of their own. Bazi's lips worked themselves into a tight line that might have been distantly related to a bemused smile - at the sheer hilarity of how active Murphy's Law seemed to be on this godforsaken day. Good move, Jace. Well done. She could feel the agouti male breathing beside her when he stepped between her and Jace, like the bellows of a freshly ignited forge.

Jace barely let her get a word in edge-ways after that. His voice made frequent and tempestuous leaps between rage and reasoned calm, spitting threats at Leaf's would-be attackers. Bazi only listened. Despite everything that was going on, her overriding thought was that if things went the way she wished them to, future gatherings of friends and family promised to be very awkward.

"I'm sorry for the harsh language, Bazi."

Was he? Surprise tented Bazi's brows, and she chuckled brightly - a strange sound to hear in such dire circumstances. "I don't think I'm the one you need to worry about," she told him in the split instant before Scimitar cut her off - and promptly launched himself straight at the injured Sunspire wolf.

Bazi stepped back with a soft gasp, ears flattening against her skull as the two wolves clashed. She would be foolish to intervene, and graciously heeded her own advice not to. Her mind worked around Scimitar's words. Could they take Jace? Would it help? Would he forgive her when it was all done - for doing what was in the best interest of her pack? Swiftcurrent Creek as a whole were not fans of him, and it was unlikely that he would get hurt in the process - he was no use to anyone dead, she thought (rather callously, but Jace had brought this on himself). Pack comes first, she reminded herself. The same mantra that had pushed her to defend Fox would now be put to use elsewhere.
Okay i did it both ways so Rach you can either let the blows fall and I can side step using paragraph style for a couple moves or we can use the rolls..balls in your court darling :)

Jace gave the other a stare that clearly and boldly spoke come at me. He was hot headed and yea at the moment he was being foolish, but he just didn’t care. The other male had started it by snapping at him at the borders, when he hadn’t even called for him in the first place he called for Bazi the beta of the pack. And they could think what they wanted about him, he wasn’t an ass hole like everyone thought, but he was tired of telling everyone they were wrong. So if they wanted an asshole guess what here he was. Jace returned the snarl and his tail lashed behind him as he tightened his paws in the dirt and backed up digging hard into the ground to launch himself at the older male.

Jace did not think himself higher than anybody, but he had come here to try and help not be treated like some piece of shit that didn’t deserve to breath. He had enough of that treatment to last a life time thank you very much.

Jace snarled and twisted his face away and side stepped as the other came towards him trying to go the way he wasn’t hitting and he aimed a swift bite to the others shoulders and neck hoping to catch him enough that he’d leave him alone. He snarled out Ain’t nobody gonna let me in that creek without killing me besides Bazi so you’ll have to kill me now you want me to step foot in there, only way I’ll do it is dead.

If they succeeded in catching him he’d fight them all to his last breath, he wasn’t one to lay down and die, he wasn’t a pawn to be used for their whim, this was their leaders fault her’s not his. The mountain had been letting them alone, fox was the one that constantly came onto their borders and left her scent everywhere, he would have been killed he did that here.

HP: ?/22 - to be determined once Scim's defense comes in to play?

The two met in a rush of muscle, stress and fury. The ebony male managed to sidestep his attack, his own glancing across Scimitar’s shoulders – the sting of the wound was nothing compared to the adrenaline he felt, and with a bubbling snarl, his figure twisted, his paws digging to the ground for support.

The other’s words fell on deaf ears – Jace was no good to him dead, for he was now the only leverage the Creek could use to get Leaf and Magpie back. Strange to think he had spouted only moments before about how another had best not dare lay a paw on Leaf, and yet here he was.. too enraged to do anything useful for the girl and too stupid to see that not only was this the Creek’s only option with Fox now gone and Ferdie’s terms set.. but he had also walked right in to it. Clearly, Jace was all talk about saving his girl – had the roles been reversed, Scimitar would have laid his life down to have Bazi returned to her home.

So it was action that was taken. As Jace’s teeth skimmed over his shoulders to break the skin, Scimitar made to take advantage of the position where Jace’s neck was now exposed – twisting his figure in an attempt to move from Jace’s grip, his own jaws sought to grip at the flesh at the curve of Jace’s neck – he was not aiming to kill.. but if the other’s red fury did not settle, he might have to change tactics.
Jace fought hard blow after blow he defended and returned. The feeling of exhaustion was starting to wear him down. His already scarred shoulder was ripped open, he had a new wound to the side of his muzzle, that would scar and his chest ached from he was fairly certain was an overused and torn muscle or tendon. His breathing was hard and labored. He backed up for a new onslaught, his limbs almost shaking with exhaustion, but you couldn’t see the tremors unless you looked closely. He strongly believed that this would be a brawl to the death if they kept it up, but both were too stubborn to give up…maybe he shouldn’t be so stubborn.

Tilting his black head he spoke on a pant…. We are going to kill each other, when we are supposed to be figuring out how to get Leaf and Magpie back here to your pack and safe. We are being fools. Jace admittedly had been the bigger fool at the time, but now he was trying to make it right. He looked towards Bazi hoping she could step in and leash her brute.
/sneaks back in.

I hope it's OK to assume that Scimitar is not as hot-headed and would stop, but if that's not the case, Rach, PM me and I'll edit. :D

Bazi watched them brawl like some grim little mistress, tail flicking impatiently from side to side, mind elsewhere. It was over before she could intervene or even speak up - whatever steam fuelled Jace's tired body in this ill-conceived second battle of the week ran out, and the two separated; the Beta's chilling eyes came to rest on her Sunspire friend. "We are being fools," he said, as if this was news. Bazi's gave him a sharp look, held back her initial response, and glanced briefly back at Scimitar in the Swiftcurrent corner to make sure that her pack-mate had not lost himself to blood-thirst (unlikely, given his temperament).

Bazi only paused long enough to allow the hot rush of blood and adrenaline to ease its monopoly on the two males' hearing. So far, Jace's descent from the mountain had done them no good apart from to fuel the fear that Magpie and Leaf did not have much time. He did not have decision-making powers, and his hotheadedness could have cost them the health of yet another wolf. "I've already told you what we can offer. Fox has disappeared and she will not be welcome back. Ferdie is free to verify that himself." Here she looked to Scimitar for support. Ferdie's was not a face Bazi wished to see near Swiftcurrent, but she was willing to relax the rules if it would secure the return of their own. "Our scouts will return soon to confirm it. After that, she is a free agent and our girls will be let go." Or else sounded too dramatic, but it was there, written at the end of her sentence in tall, invisible letters.
It was a blow of fury – his teeth drove in to flesh time and again, only to feel his own be shredded in turn. Blood was upon his lips – the metallic scent now thick in the air as furious snarls erupted from the two, neither one willing to bow down. His opponent gouged his shoulder with an efficient blow, eliciting another growl of anger from the cinnamon male before his own teeth would whip back in punishment. Fatigue would stretch across him, but he was stirred only by the simple threat that hung between the two different pack wolves: The Sunspire had Leaf and Magpie, and would only relinquish them for one wolf.

His plan would fail – Jace pulled back, his panting breath signifying his own tiredness. Scimitar’s ears preened forward as he spoke, loosing another growl – what a fucking idiot! Only moments before he had listened to the yearling hiss and spit at him – entice him and even taunt him to take him to hell, and here they both were.. bloody, exhausted.. and only now did the other decide to take back his taunts of promised death.

The agouti male would not have let it go – his figure tightened as he would make to launch himself once more – only until Jace lay upon the ground to be used as their own hostage would he settle.. that, or to watch the idiot flee with his tail between his legs back up to his mountain.

But Bazi spoke – interrupting the moments of silence that had almost finalized his decision to continue his onslaught, and with a shudder of control, Scimitar shifted his aqua eyes from the swarthy male and to her, listening to her words. His lip twitched at her words – it would seem the lithe Beta was making the decision that Fox would not be welcomed back home – given everything that had happened.. the girls she had stupidly taken with her and practically sacrificed.. her inability to even tell the pack she had fucked up. No, it was for the best this way.

But he had no more words – his eyes would harden as they drifted back to Jace, and his message was clear from his posture and features alone – get the fuck out.
jace's eyes went cold while his temper still flared like a little flame he wanted the other males head on a platter, but knew he needed to get back to the mountain. He laugher darkly and sadly I already told you Bazi its fox or nothin' I'll pass on the message but no promises I'll try and get them back for you I'll bring em down the mountain myself if Ferdie will let me he's already probably going to be angry I'm here. and it was true Jace had come down without permission because he was angry and irritated and leaf had been caught. I'll listen you howl when the scouts come back and we'll go from there mmaybe this will be enough to calm the ire. They were turning this into the spires fault he honestly didn't think that they were angry enough at fox and by gods he wanted to laugh when she said that fox would not be welcome back that was probably pure and utter bull shit but he'd wait and see later

JAce's body tightened as he got ready for another onslaught that never came. he stared at the agouti male deadpan he didn't care that he hated him and if his sister wasn't on the mountain as well as leaf and ferdie those 3 being his closest friends he'd have finished this fight and either lay in his own blood or the other lay in his but he quit, yet again his temper getting the best of him. he was tired of the constant fury that licked through his veins hot enough to burn him, most of the time he was a slave to it and he hated it.

Jace shifted and looked at Bazi for a moment and then spoke quietly goodbye Bazi it sounded final even to him because he just wasn't sure what would happen now. He turned and with adrenaline still flowing in his veins the pain a dull roar that all too soon would turn crippling he bounded away. He and Bazi they'd probably be fine if there wasn't a pack war but if there was well he just didn't know.
The tension in the air was tangible. Bazi nodded farewell to Jace, but couldn't help but wonder if his insistence that was 'Fox or nothing' was just bluster - Ferdie didn't seem the type to hold two girls ransom, and both Leaf and Magpie were charming creatures in their own way. She was glad to see the back of him - if only because there was still angry heat coming off Scimitar beside her.

When the black Sunspire wolf was out of earshot, Bazi turned to inspect the damage. Jace's fur hid the damage, but it shone brightly on Scimitar's pelt. The Beta's ears flattened against her skull. "I'm sorry that happened," the girl whined, shuffling to her pack-mate's side and giving his cheek a tentative lick. She lingered there for a moment, but didn't seem settled. Their meeting with Jace had accomplished two fleas short of nothing - there were still things to do. Reluctantly, Bazi stepped away. "I need to go somewhere," she told him cryptically - mostly because she herself did not know where her paws would take her yet. "Can you get back?"

Rach - shall they part ways here? Since that's what subsequent threads suggest happened. I've tried to make it so that she leaves without a good explanation. :D
It was amazing how useless the creature that now revealed his back end to them was. Scimitar watched him go, feeling Bazi's hesitant presence beside him though unwilling to take his eyes from the swarthy mountain wolf, if only because he did not trust him to fully leave. Jace had spoken about wanting nothing more than to help the girls from that peak, in perhaps less eloquent words, but when Bazi had spoken of conditions, he had been all but unwilling to truly cooperate. Basically. it was either Ferdie's way or the highway.

Perhaps the king of the mountain had best come down to tell them that himself.

A low rumble pressed past his lips as Bazi finally spoke, holding back a slight wince as she cast him a gentle kiss on his cheek. He wanted to tell her then and there that under no circumstances would the black Beta be allowed so close to Swiftcurrent lands if he wanted to keep his hide, but now was not the time to threaten the she-wolf's friend. She had lost more than enough in one day, and he did not know how she would feel to those sentiments.

Instead, she spoke of separating, and Scimitar gave a small nod. "Stay safe," he murmured, his tongue smoothing across his lips to clean away some blood. Tentatively, he pressed his nose to her cheek, his eyes worriedly lingered upon her as he made to walk back to the Creek.. this time, alone as she left to do what it was she needed to.
