@Ferdie Von Pelt keeping it vague since i don't know how wounded Jace is going to be.

Jace strode up the mountainside his newly added wounds smarting and hurting. He hadn't meant to piss off the wolf Scimitar, but he really didn't give a crap. he had been irked as it was anyway and that bastard had to go and open his big fat mouth and start shit so yea of course Jace was going to throw down and attempt to finish it. His only regret was that Bazi had been there.

Making it to where the captives were he looked them over making sure they were not hurt and then he looked at Ferdie and spoke softly Ferdie you and I need to talk and before you flip out you need to know i did what i did with the best of intentions...i hoped that if i went ot the creek and called Bazi since she's now afraid and upset iwth you that it would be easier since she is the beta...but her brute boyfriend decided to take offense to some heated words....

Ferdie had been laying own close to the captives but not so close as to start a conversation with them yet he wanted them to think about what happened and he wanted them to know they were being watched he had not stopped anyone else from coming up to the captives and talking but not without his presence there. he was going to make sure no harm befell the captives, that was not his intent. He wanted to protect the pup and leaf was a bonus.

When Jace drew up to him, his eyes darkened as they fell upon Jace he lifted his head and kept his tail high. He didn't think he'd need to put a leash on Jace, he thought Jace smarter then that. A disapproving rumble escaped him and filled the air; He stared at jace his ears flipped in Jace's direction, confident he could stop a captive if they made a run for it even now that they may think his distracted, But they didn't seem like they wanted to go anywhere yet.

His hackles started to raise of their own accord, Jace had better start talking before Ferdie Von Pelt lost something. He wasn't sure yet what he was madder at, Jace going to swiftcurrent creek or the fact they had attacked him and wounded him further. He was going to find out if Jace began to speak.

Jace averted his eyes from Ferdie and spoke softly I knew Bazi wouldn't listen to you Ferdie she wouldn't and if anyone could convince Fox to get herself up here it's Bazi, so I went just to see Bazi I swear, but some male was with her...apparently Fox abandoned the whole pack all of them she just left and some wolf named Haunter died..... jace didn't really know why this Haunter was important maybe Ferdie would.

He shook his head and continued Bazi recieved me well and she and I were trying to talk about how to get Fox here because she doesn't want her in the creek anymore, but then another wolf came onto the meeting and spoke sharply to me, and i was already a bit irritated so i spoke sharply back and he went at me. Jace shrugged that was all he could say he would tell him more if he gave him a minute to catch his breath. He had forgotten the agouti male they had saw at the borders right before they were forced out. I didn't go down there to start anything I swear, I just thought since Bazi won't talk to you, and she does talk to me if we see each other in neutral territory that she would listen, and besides that I followed that other creek wolf we sent to make sure she went back and told them the correct story...i didn't want her telling them we attacked Fox for no reason or what have you.

Ferdie's rumble died down, but he was still very unhappy and his stare was intense even as Jace averted his eyes

I don't care if Bazi would not listen to me, if she want's to lead then she is going to have to listen eventually. Especially if she wants to be a better leader then Fox.

How is it I can have the rest of the pack understand what I want from them when my Beta goes and starts fights. That's no better then.....
He was going to say Fox, then change it to Njal then thought thought the better of saying anything all together grrr Jace I need you to keep your wits about you. Meet in neutral territory and TALK TO ME BEFORE you GO TO DO SOMETHING SO St..... RASH

Ferdie stalked up to him as he yelled and placed his mouth over Jace's ear but did not bite he just held it, dominantly yet somehow affectionately. He rumbled again then let it go and lashed his tail as he circled Jace.

He nipped Jace's rump an uninjured spot hopefully. His voice calmer and his ability to think before speaking returning Jace talk to me, before you do these things, I need your help to run the pack I don't need to lose you to something as stupid as not taking back up that hangs back as you speak to swiftcurrent creek wolves on neutral territory. These wolves here are your family and you need to start acting like it. Let us help you as you help us.

Ferdie stepped back and looked at Jace's face again, he wanted to do more to Jace but he also didn't want to push Jace to far. He knew from self experience how far he could push, which is why when it came to negotiations he was much better at it then his hot-headed counterpart, Now he just felt left out and behind. How could he protect his pack and family if he didn't know what was going on.

Ferdie paused... Haunter.... well, that means Fox is more of a mess then I thought. A broken hearts an awful thing. Ferdie frowned, Haunter had been his roadblock into Fox's heart. or at least that's what he felt.

Ferdie snorted; keeping the captives have served their purpose, Fox might crack now, and the Creek by the sounds of it no longer wanted Fox as their leader. That is all Ferdie had wanted.
He almost felt he could release the captives, he had no more use for them, Fox had dug her own hole with her own pack. The only reason he kept the captives now was for their own safety but he wasn't going to be so possessive over them anymore. That and it helped keep swiftcurrent creeks numbers down.

Do they know where Fox is? or when she is returning?

Jace felt Ferdie's eyes on him and he shifted paw to paw. He felt like..well he felt like a child in trouble with his father, and he hadn't remembered how bad that felt, how shameful it made you feel and how hurt. Jace realized now that he had been a bit rash, but he had done it with the best of intentions.

Jace shook his head Sorry Ferdie Jace froze all his muscles and his body as Ferdie grabbed his ear and on their own accord his hackles wanted to raise, he was tired of wolves touching him today. He hated physical contact, hated it...he was no good at it and he didn't understand it so it drove him mad. he wanted to ask Ferdie to let go, that he was already far to close to letting go of all the anger and the heartbreak and everything else, he was just too close ,but he just bit hard on his jaw until blood ran out his mouth to drip to the ground.

He shifted like a spasm when Ferdie bit him and he lowered his head even more and panted to keep himself under control...the simple fact was that Ferdie was his leader and his friend and he deserved to be reprimanded, but he could definitely do without the touching, granted yes it was an instinctual thing for wolves to be physical it is how they showed displeasure and dominance, but Jace well Jace was a whole different breed of wolf. Physical touches turned to feelings and his feelings always turned inwards and destroyed him from the inside out.

Jace spasmed again almost bucking his entire body, but he looked at Ferdie now, though kept his eyes averted, he didn't want him to see the red tinge anyway. I know Ferdie. I figured Bazi would meet me by herself she always did before, I clearly didn't think. I'm not very good at taking help Ferdie, i always help everyone else. He sighed it was the truth of the matter, he disliked asking for help when he was capable of doing what was needed.

Jace looked at Leaf when Ferdie said that and then looked away I know how bad a broken heart hurts. and then he fell silent again keeping his breathing under control and his temper.

Jace shook his head No no one knows I thought maybe you could go track her? I could stay here this time...Bazi might even help she's a helluva a outrider.

A good leader ... He let that hang in the air for 'just a moment' Knows when he/she needs help and seeks out the right help. Don't forget that. It's hard I know. But think about the pack you would leave defenseless without you, If Scimitar killed you all because you didn't have Red or Fang or even Kodokuna hanging behind you. They will listen to you Jace you are their beta; you want them to hang back they will, you want them by your side they will, you want them to run they will. 'Our pack' is brave and will listen. You just have not given them the chance.

Ferdie's gaze followed Jace's then he sighed, Once I talk to Leaf you are free to let her go, She is capable of making her own pack choices, I didn't want to keep her here I just figured I'd give you the opportunity to talk to her while the opportunity presented itself.

Ferdie's lips slanted into a smile Take life by the reigns so to speak and make what you can out of it. Ferdie stood up and walked over to the cache digging up a pheasant he had buried there earlier But first, and foremost you must eat, Your body needs food in which to heal itself with Ferdie set the pheasant at Jaces feet and watched Jace, intending to be sure he ate the meal.

I might try to see if Bazi would allow me to seek out Fox with her. But I will not enter Swiftcurrent Creeks territory and you should not either I do not want anymore fights at their boarders if we are to make peace they must be able to trust us.... He just hoped the Jace had not already ruined that trust.

Jace winced at the blow that was intended at the words. Jace thought of all of them that he had grown to love and it hurt. He imagined Kodo's broken body and it froze his blood, his thoughts were confused there too, she was a very pretty she wolf and kind. He shook his head now was not the time to think of that at all, and he needed to figure out Leaf first before he moved on with his life. I know Ferdie i'm sorry I should have thought my thoughts through better.

Jace looked at him and asked a quiet question am I allowed to ask her to stay if she wants? Jace looked at the pheasant and grimaced, he wasn't hungry as a matter of fact if he ate, he'd probably just spew it all back up, but he supposed he had disappointed his friend enough today. So he bent and ripped a chunk off of the thing.

Jace looked at him and spoke quietly Bazi stuck up for me Ferdie I don't think we've lost their trust yet, but I think Fox has. Jace didn't tell him anymore than that, sitting down gently to finish his meal and he spoke softly Now what Ferdie? Where do we go from here? And why wouldn't Fox leave us alone? We don't go down into the lower lands except to explore some of us, we hunt here, we eat here, we sleep here, we don't go anywhere near their borders at least I don't this is the first time in weeks that I've been to the borders, neutral territory yes, borders no.

Pheasant was Ferdie's choice because it was light, and the only thing he could stomach after his weeks of starvation at heart breaks hands.

Ferdie chuckled softly noticing the red tinge die down in jace's eyes Of course Jace, If she wants to stay she is most welcome. Ferdie licked jace's ear fondly only once as he finished the pheasant.

I'm not sure why Fox will not leave us be, but it sounds as if they don't agree on her actions either. So Fox is acting alone it's strange really, but her head is not a place I want to be, perhaps I will go speak to Bazi Ferdie dreaded this. Protect our pack, and hold the captives if you can until we know where Fox is, If only to be sure they are not walking back into chaos when they return 'home' I never meant to keep them only protect them for a time. Ferdie stood, and walked away hoping that jace kept the light meal down,

Ferdie smiled as he made his way down the territory hoping Jace would not hear as he set up babysitter's and howled @Aryn he hoped his howl would convey to Aryn to watch Jace and make sure jace ate in his absence and as an after thought he asked Aryn to get Nightingale to get to Jace's wounds if Nightingale didn't hear his howl
