backdated to 05/16, all welcome. tiny bit of family pp, let me know if it isnt okay! ❤
The world outside the den is, as the pale Frostfur has recently discovered, vast and fascinating — and far more interesting than listening to @Aengus and @Sionnach's shrieking matches, or whatever it is they do when he's not looking (which is, to be fair, most of the time). Certainly not as loud, which is odd to the boy, since the outside world is a lot bigger than his siblings. He's not quite at the peak of his intellectual ability, however, so he doesn't take the time to ponder this mystery just yet.
Instead, he stands a bit shakily and yawns, making a point of not looking at @Rannoch or @Liffey. If he can't see them, they can't see him, right? Right. Tony takes a single, dignified step forward — and promptly launches himself over @Eshe. Bit of a rough shortcut, but it works. After a bit of groaning and struggling and kicking his sister in the face, he makes it over her and a few more steps toward the den entrance. He can almost taste his freedom, the sweet smell of spring and the warmth of sunlight — and then he trips and faceplants in the dirt. And then the wailing starts.
sionnach has tasted freedom several times: on one occasion, it tasted like whatever catepillars and other creepy crawlies tasted like. it tasted like sunny afternoon days, and soft wind. and once, it had tasted like quills smacked in the face.

that particular insult had been long forgotten, perhaps eagerly so, and sionnach had lost none of her verve in exploring outside the den. today, the girl watched with some disdain as her brother shakily made his debut. like all things in relation to her siblings (in sionnach's eyes), it was incredibly underwhelming.

she sniffed derisively as her brother tripped, disappointed he would be so squishy and loud, but also more disappointed she had little part in his misery. glancing back at her parents to make sure they couldn't see her (they didn't) sionnach weaseled her way to her brother, a fake sympathetic look plastered across her features. she cooed at him gently, as if to reassure him and placate him for his pain.. for about two seconds this act of gentle, caring sister was believable -- but then sionnach took a turn and deliberately stepped on his tail.

one could practically see the devil horns appear atop her little head.
shitty mobile post, im sorry for this LOL
Sionnach's approach goes unnoticed initially, but her cooing draws his attention after a moment. His wails die down a bit, ears perking as his gaze flits to his sister (though not without a glare in his parents' direction first, of course; who do they think they are, ignoring his suffering like that?). His pleasant surprise doesn't last long, though. This time his wail is more like a shriek, eyes flashing indignantly as he shoots to his feet. He launches himself at his offending sister with a snarl, aiming to catch her ear between sharp puppy teeth.
success! tail has been suitably squashed; critical hit incoming! sionnach reeled, having no time to celebrate her small victory before a bevy of teeth snapped in her face. tiarnach bit firmly down upon one russet-tinged lobe, eliciting a high shriek from the girl as if she had not just done anything to deserve such cruel treatment.

no, she was innocent and being bullied! it hurt, but it didn't hurt anywhere near as much as sionnach pretended -- her gaze was firmly on her parents as the decibel level of her screaming rose. surely they would come over and see she was being victimized right?

but her parents ignored her.. so... that meant she had the freedom to be as nasty or as cruel as she wanted without punishment! pulling away from tiarnach, sionnach stumbled back and then launched an attack at his face, attempting to repay him in kind for brutalizing her tender ear-bits.

after a few reps, where sionnach was sure tiarnach knew the cutting edge of her teeth, she decided she was done with play today. dismissing him with all the tenderness of a machete, sionnach arced her ropy tail, canted her muzzle skyward, and marched off.
