what had started as one of arcturus' customary stalks of his brother turned into something far more blood-chilling. @Revui's scent lead stark past their normal bounds, and what was worse, the scent of bear and blood intermingled heavily on the scene.
arcturus placed a paw in one of revui's paw-print impressions and studied the tracks with a frown. a thousand times the boy had followed his brother's scent, and a hundred times before he had encountered revui in the midst of a long-engaged hunt.. but the blood...
he looked up, his expression troubled. if his brother was stalking quarry this big, he would need some sort of reinforcement. his nose twitched as he threw back his head in a howl for his littermate: i'm coming, big brother -- wait up for me.
