anyone is welcome! on the edge of the pack, so even outsiders are welcome if they treat close enough to the border

his mother and the former drageda wolf had been gone for long enough that he had grown concerned. illidan had gone to the borders each day to see if he could catch their scent on the winds that blew in. the scent of prey had grown stronger, but he could not make out caiaphas’ aroma, or even that of the dark male. the boy had started to wonder if he’d made a mistake in allowing vercingetorix into their claim. he could not help but to think of all the ways that the man could enact his revenge against the siren while they were on their own.

reaching the mouth of the pack, illidan drew his crown upward and tasted the saline air. the sound of gulls could be heard from deep within the territory, but most of the world was silent. no matter how long he seemed to stand there, he could not catch the trail of his mother. cursing softly to himself, the ghost began to wander slowly along the outer skirt of the rusalka territory.
Feel free to get him involved or just have him cameo while the next person jumps in!

With his leg healed from the infection he had contracted before joining the pack, Vengeance had finally the time to go investigate the new territory he would call home for a while. Thorough with his investigation, Vengeance paced the border from one marker to the rest, pressing his moist digit against the marked objects, from trees to rocks, fallen logs, he took his time to take in the different individuals and who was familiar.. and who was not.

With every marker, Vengeance added to it himself. A long press against the object in question, brushing his shoulder to the flank with one long stroke, it was a strong enough scent to mark it for a while. Fur, oils, dirt and whatever dried crap stuck to his pelt rubbed off on every marker, some dried blood here and there.

A couple scents were begining to fade much faster than the others. Come to think of it, he hasn't met the Alpha of Rusalka since his joining. It was an interesting thought. What could be keeping the Alpha for such a long time that they wouldn't come introduce themselves to new members as they came.

A twig snapped under his weight at the very moment his ruby gaze found themselves on the Beta of the pack.
<3 no please! i'm happy to thread with you

the young man had not been around for the newest members to have met him. he had scented that there had been additions to their numbers in his passing over the border, but he did not know them by name. one such aroma hung in the air, drawing his attention toward it. while he did not consider himself a social creature, illidan believed that it was important to be a presence in the lives of those who called rusalka home. he did not want another scenario like the one he’d experienced with firefly. the absence of his friend still hurt him, and he was still confused as to why the sun-touched brute had decided to leave.

the snap of a twig drew his ears into a stiff point atop his crown. the dark-hooded wildling turned his attention sharply toward the origins of the noise and stopped on a figure he had never seen before. for a moment, his hackles pricked along his back. illidan forced himself to calm down – analyze the situation – and found that the scent of the stranger carried enough of rusalka that he must have been a new number to their pack.

“we haven’t met,” the young ghost remarked in a graveled voice.
The wolves here were constantly on alert, from every encounter he had here thus far. Perhaps he intimidated them - it wasn't an unreasonable reaction, however, with the lack of any of them immediately attacking him, Vengeance this time didn't react in response to their own defensive stances. Like all others, this one calmed down quickly enough.

Granted his lack of care in attempting to familiarize himself with everyone who is his supposed "pack mate", is one of the many possible reasons why individuals reacted to him as they did. Perhaps if he made the attempt to introduce himself, get to know them, let them know him better, he would be greeted with open arms - but alas... he wasn't planning on making this pack his home. Not at the moment unless his mind would be changed later... for now, he was quite content with being a stranger within the crowd.

No. The word slid from his tongue, the barritone vocals verberating in response as it echoed in his chest. I am Vengeance. Raleska can be thanked for my presence. A simple explanation, somewhat of an introduction without going too deep without being asked anything.
