@Rokig

the snowy wolf fell into step behind his smoke-furred companion. for the first time in weeks, his paws fell to the earth with purpose, more so than they did when he was merely exploring the areas around his den or hunting the warrens. he was a natural follower, and in his mind he had found an individual whom he may some day deem worthy to follow.

ordinarily it may have caused him worry to leave his den behind, but the other male had given him free reign to stay there if he so pleased. this was merely a trial run, of sorts, but he had been given the impression that this decision was ultimately up to him. he moved swiftly, easily keeping up with the other, all the while waiting further directions and perhaps touring.
note to self: set before this thread

He let them fall into silence as they reached the top of the plateau, grassy fields greeted them. It was easier on the paws instead of the rocky edges. I'm used to being right on the water. He was actually used to be stranded out in the water on the island. No need to get all specific though. So this is kind of a change for me but it helps that the view is of the coast. It was small talk, which he most certainly wasn't the best at but it was sometimes needed in order to get to know each other.
the earth understep became softer, less rocky, as they traipsed deeper into the plateau. while vegas was no stranger to silence, he was grateful when Rokig began a lighthearted conversation. You are? he asked softly, his voice level and low. he could understand why being nearby the ocean, at least, would be a comfort to a wolf who had spent his years in view of the the sea.

I was raised south east of here. Lots of hills, sagebrush. The ocean is new to me. But I have enjoyed my time here. he returned, offering a bit of information about himself.

The plateau.... it seems like a good place to make a home. far enough from the sea to avoid danger, but near enough to view it.
His head nodded softly to confirm Vegas' question. Rokig had spent long enough at Undersea to grow accustomed to the island life. Of course before that he had been raised in a dismal swamp but there was no need to introduce the male to that part of his life. It was long behind him as far as he was concerned.

If you like the ocean I know a place to visit, not far from here. I supposed we should get you comfortable here first before sending you off somewhere though huh? A smirk briefly graced his lips before his features fell neutral again.

Rokig listened keenly as Vegas gave his thoughts on the plateau. So far it seemed everyone was rather happy with the placement for his plans. I'm glad you think so. I want anyone who wishes to join to feel comfortable here.
sounds good, he responded, picking up his own pace so that he fell into step with Rokig, to better see what the gray male was himself surveying. a lapse followed, a silence that vegas deemed comfortable, as they followed the paths of the plateau, the rush of the ocean faintly whispering in their ears. vegas truly could not imagine a more comforrtable and beautiful place to live, but his expression of such was a bit less dramatic.

I think... I think it's an easy place to feel comfortable in, he began, before a brief hesitation in his speech. have you many followers yet? there was no judgement behind his tones; only curiosity. in his heart welled a sort of excitement as the pair wandered together... perhaps this was really the start of something new, and of something to feel enthralled about.
No. He replied easily, not bothered by it. These things took time. He did not expect a swarm of wolves over night. Just one other. You two should meet soon if you plan on staying on the plateau with us. Rokig did not want either one to startle the other. Although he was more worried about Vegas being startled than Valentine. The blue-eyed male seemed almost...soft, for lack of a better word.

He had plans to inform both of them of each other's presence though. If only to avoid any possible conflict or confusion.
Vegas gave a simple nod. having originated from a familial clan, the snowy wolf was unfamiliar with the ways of forming a new pack. but that did not mean he expected Rokig to have a massive following right away. it was possible, of course, as they had just met, but vegas merely did not get this impression.

the silver-eyed male did, however, mention that he did have one follower and the white Sadira wondered a moment why she was not now with them. but he smiled, assenting to the suggestion. I'd be happy to meet this individual. Whenever. his tail swished behind him. Have you known him long? or her?
His head nodded softly. He appreciated the enthusiasm that Vegas showed to getting settled into the plateau's hopeful group. They were small for now but perhaps that would change. Maybe summer would bring forth visitors to the coast.

Him. Because they were apparently having a little bit of a sausage fest up here. His gaze looked around as if Valentine might pop out of the grasses, or from behind a tree, at any moment. Not long. I think you'll like him though, he's nice. He actually had no idea if they would like each other but he could hope.

Rokig would show his new companion around the plateau and answer any further questions. Although he was also content with the moments that they would fall into silent steps. Perhaps this would work out well for everyone.
