Tiptoeing through the groves, a humming tune could be heard as the painted man wandered around.
I said "doctor, ain't there nothin' I can take?"
Head swinging from left to right with the dancing of his paws as he lightly padded through the beach, sliding his paws every now and then as he sang.
I said "doctor, to relieve this belly ache"
His tone light and smooth in melody.
Truly he was a carefree soul, a smile etched across his face as he continued to tiptoe through the beach at the rhythm of his own song.
Now lemme get this straight, You pu-
As he danced his way across the beach, he noticed the young lilac woman poking at a coconut - how ironic he laughed to himself. Gently, but quick enough, he brought himself to her side and leaned down to face the brown fuzzy nut.
Have you never seen a coconut before miss?
he smiled genuinely before turning his seafoam gaze from the coconut onto her.
Even the faint singing fell deaf to Miriam's ears, as she wholeheartedly 'studied' the unknown. She had seen, or heard nothing like it, it felt rough and strong, and yet it grew upon a tree. Was it edible, she thought? The coast had marvelous wonders, be it the shells and fish, and now the strange ones that grow upon the odd trees. How mysterious..
Shocked as she was from the appearence of brown within her white gaze, she remained with a scholarly calm look, and carefully lifted upwards to meet his seafull look. He looked different, she first thought as the piebald colors were unknown in the innocents dictionary. However a ear perked, and twitched when he gave a name, to what she was looking for, "A coconut, is it?" Miriam re-confirmed, a gentle gaze looking back toward the 'coconut.'
Coconut, yes.
Nodding, he confirmed when she repeated the name of the nut. Do you want to try it? They're quite delicious.
Without the need for an answer, Heironymous already picked up the thing in his jaws and placed it down on a flat rock surface. Humming the same melody as before, he began to comb the beach in search of something...
Once he found it, a large flat enough piece of sturdy wood, he placed it at the top of the brown nut, balancing it by pressing it with his nose, nudging in all directions until he was happy with it. Watch this.
He said gleefully, eyes watching for her reaction while he himself pounced onto the plank perched on top of the nut.
Under his weight the nut snapped after a couple of bounces, clear liquid oozed from the cracks and once he relieved the nut from his weight, it fell into two perfect halves. The water is sweet - eat only the white flesh.
With excitement he looked down at the white flesh of the coconut, knowing very well how he enjoyed the nutty sweet flavor of the unique hairy nut. It was beautiful really, at least to him. The hard exterior, hairy, ugly and fury, but on the inside, a pristine white, whiter than snow with a soft flesh that tasted just as lovely as it looked. Luckily for them, this one was not rotten, but actually quite fresh.
Looking up from the coconut, he saw her confusion and apprehension of tasting the thing. Don't worry, it's safe.
Was his attempt at soothing her weary eye about the nut. Taking one half, he began to lap up any of the water that had remained in the shell, demonstrating that he knew it was alright to eat. It's not like any water you've ever tasted.
He smiled.
Then, once the water was gone, he began to chew at the walls. Scraping away the white flesh, chewing the larger chunks and enjoying the soft crunch of the coconut. It looked funny, like a dog trying to eat away at the peanut butter of a tub just too small to fit their whole muzzle in. Licking and scrapping to try and get every little bit he could. It's supposed to be good for your teeth and skin too.
