Bygone grandeur.

That's what this meadow was, so serene, swathed in fathomless tranquility - sleepy eyes of violet allowed the vision of golden sunlight to soak into her mind, the gentle warmth providing comfort despite the isolation of her travels. Truly, it was not in her nature, to wander the lands without purpose, to traipse along the natural paths of the teekon; her purpose, it was to serve, and yet, why did her gods choose not to guide her? Was there no place anymore, for her, in this world?

She recounted very little from the previous months, those timorous days that warped around her skull in a dismal blur.

Eyes of droopy lavender had been jolted into conciousness, flitting like the startled wings of a butterfly back and forth across the horizon; without a man to guard her back, Daivya felt the wind creep icy tendrils up her spine - exposure. Isolation was a curse, and to the lost Meladi, it might be the cause of her downfall. Pangs of ravenous hunger had ripped through her stomach suns before, but she was barely adept at catching prey, relying solely on the scraps of abandoned carcasses along the trail, anything she could scavange.

A man, a man... there had been a man...

Whatever her senses would whisper to her, the gods upon her shoulders, this man had saved her life. The only resemblence she could attempt to place would be upon the features of Iliksis, the secretive serpent, but alas, it was not him.

It felt almost nothing more than a fever dream, something vivid her mind had conjured to beat away the impending loneliness - truly, this life, it was not for her. Where was Grayson, where was Dawson, what about Lilah? Consumed by naivety, she bumbled along, lithe figure sweeping through the meadow. She could not allow herself to dwell on past troubles; surely, her gods had not forgotten her. They would gift her a sign.

She only prayed it might reveal itself soon.
Small assumptions based on how the thread with @Radar is going. Setting time to be at dusk so it makes sense for a private thread, lmk if anything needs changing, guys. ♥

While Radar slept, Black Hat wandered like his mind. He was doing relatively well now, and he had someone tagging along. She didn't have the strongest of skillsets, but it was a start. He planned on moving out soon to forge new alliances. A nomadic life was not for him, a creature of habit. He wanted to stake his claim in a place to call his own and defend, though that too would take some traveling in this unfamiliar land. A picky thing, he wouldn't accept just any old hole to crawl in.

Climbing out of his mind for a moment, he looked up, squinting at the figure ahead of him. The wind shifted his way, carrying the scent of this stranger to him. A woman, he noted, and she seemed to have something weighing on her mind more heavily than himself. Collecting himself, he slinked over her way. Good evening, madam. What brings you out at sundown? Was the greeting he offered, cordial as ever.

Closer now, he could make out the galaxy-esq blends of brown, accentuated with white speckles that shone like stars. Her eyes were an ethereal purple, and to say he was mesmerized was only the beginning. Black Hat wanted her in more ways than one, though he kept his composure.
