The pack had grown substantially since they had originally banded together and Serem made it so that she met everyone and at least knew their names. She could care less about everything else unless she deemed them a threat, then she felt the need to find out all she could; strengths and weaknesses as well as how to get underneath their skin.

Serem fill the cache with another rabbit and restrained from eating a lot due to the prey being so scarce and chewed on traveler leaves to curb the hunger. Lately she had been keeping busy, doing all she could to keep her mind off of her emotions.

@Vengeance
Of course, the sell of blood drew the Behemoth to go and investigate. To see Serem burying a rabbit as a cache didn't come to a surprise, the young woman was busy, she always had something to do - which was fantastic to see. She was always going above and beyond when it came to the pack's duties. She truly deserved to be rewarded with the first rank in the second Tier, he had no doubt about it. If Alison hadn't already taken up that spot, Serem would have been his second choice for General...

Always busy huh.
As she finished burying the prey she had  caught she heard  The footsteps of another Wolf approaching and turned to see who it was and gave a small smirk when she saw it was Vengeance. “I’d rather be busy than doing absolutely nothing; with food spread out I thought it best to keep the caches filled.” The borders were quiet for the most part but she knew to keep an ear open.
It's a good idea. Though make sure you're fed first, the caches can wait. He reassured. Though the pack should always come first before the good of an individual - food was not at the top of his priorities. Soon it would be time to call a pack hunt and they would fill the caches with any leftovers, and so he wasn't too concerned for keeping them filled for the lazy hunters around right about now. A pack hunt should be called soon, we'll fill them with whatever isn't eaten right away.

Even with the lack of prey around - Vengeance was well fed, as per usual. He had found some stragglers around the borders, though not many and they were rather peaceful, those who had no desire to join fell prey to his belly's demands.
She gave a small nod at the males suggestion. "I will certainly keep that in mind for next time." She said simply. "Me and another she-wolf Tzila I believe; were talking about that the other day and we were going to bring it by you." Now that he seemed okay with it Serem would start going farther from the territory to scout potential targets.
You are free to call a pack hunt at any time. Unless I declare otherwise in a meeting or send out a messenger among you, feel free to do as you please. He reassured. Though he was a stern man about certain things, hunting, was one thing that he would not control with an iron fist. Should they deem it necessary for a pack hunt, then, by all means, they were welcome to do so. He may or may not join whenever that may be decided. Should you call one before I do, I will leave it to you to organize. Did you have any questions in regards to a pack hunt?
So many emotions were still bottled up and it was apparent especially with the fidgeting of her paws on the ground. "I will keep that in mind and start Scouting for something like a little rabbit is what I seem to be catching most days." In her mind it was pathetic really but she kept talking to keep her mind off of everything else. "I'm not all good at strategy when it comes to larger game." She stated simply.
What he thought would be the end of this little quick conversation, he caught something. Serem was fidgeting. An unusual thing for the raven woman to be doing. Uncharacteristic and for such a reason, he stuck around... curious to know why she was acting in such a way.  Is there something else you want to talk about. Hard ruby eyes took apart her features to try and read them, carefully picking apart every action, every expression.  Do you need pointers for hunting large prey? Being a loner for such a long time, Vengeance had grew quite comfortable around the larger beasts and how to take them down - though it was nearly impossible alone, even with anyone his size, but with one or more individuals in a small pack, he can come up with an almost fool proof strategy.
Was there something else she wished to speak with the man about. She couldn't figure it out at that moment. Yes she had her own desires but she refused to be so forthcoming like the other female had been. Serem was not easy that way. "I know small game and herds. They act on instinct, they have strategies for situations however a lone Buffalo, bison and moose are unpredictable. " She saw a wolf find that out the hard way and didn't want to be that stupid.
It wasn't shocking for anyone to be uncomfortable, or uncertain on how to take down such a daunting, and tough prey, but he was willing to share his wisdom with Serem. She was such a loyal member, willing to please, he didn't feel his wisdom would go to waste on her if he took the time to explain. They are. Their necks are thicker, their hoves do more damage and can kill you in seconds. He began, waiting to see if she was truly interested in listening before continuing. You will need a minimum of 3 capable hunters including yourself if you ever dream of a successful hunt of such powerful prey, along with yourself.
He seemed to be willing to share his thoughts on it and she sat down to rest her legs as she listened. "I've seen the aftermath of getting bucked by a moose, the wolf didn't survive." She wasn't quick enough to save him but Serem left that part out as he explained. When he spoke of numbers she gave a small nod of her head. "Yeah that's what I figured." There was no way two wolves could possibly bring down something twice their size even if the creature was injured. "So if I was to hunt large prey and had all the nessesary members where would I aim for?"  From stories even elderly beasts had much fight in them and if what he said was true she had no idea how to effectively bring one down.
He nodded to the first. Yes, the aftermath was horrid for anyone who couldn't anticipate the difference between a buffalo and a deer defending itself. Mangled, stomped to death, horn damage all throughout the corpse - one could barely he certain what would kill you first when it came to such a target. Preparation was key of course.

Their abdomen. To put it simply. But perhaps he would have to elaborate. He didn't want his most loyal member to be taken down by a buffalo. Quick attacks to the abdomen, gut it from underneath and move fast enough to avoid the hooves. Someone like you would be perfect for such a job, strong, big enough to reach, quick. The other two would need to distract the beast. The most imposing individual in the hunt would go for the face, naturally, the beast would protect its face and jugular first and so just feigning attacks and avoiding those horns would do well enough; while the third member goes for the knees and ankles, quick bites to the joints to limit its movements. Take your time with prey like that, rushing to get it done quickly will result in death.
So she'd slip under the beast and attack the stomach of the creature. It made sense to the female, the belly was a very sensitive area for any animal and she had done that before with a deer but just to make sure. "So this area." Serem points with her nose using vengeance as an example.
She seemed to be understanding what he was saying at the very least - he was confident that she would return alive should the hunt begin. Though every hunt had its risks, perhaps, this had minimized it for her.Yes. Where the ribs end before the pubis. Oddly enough, his tone was rather calm. Lacking that signature bite in his tone, the ever-present temper that only needed a small push to get him snapping violently with an unquenchable thirst for blood.

For most that area lacks nerves unlike the face and legs - it won't hurt as much but it is a kill once you break through and watch the intestines fall. Once that happens, step back and let it bleed. All you have to do then is defend your kill.
Now everything made sense for her now, the dark woman knew where she would attack now and she was appreciative of the man for helping her. "I don't think this hunt will be a problem for me now." She was always eager to learn new techniques; especially if it helped her stay alive in the long run. "Thank you." Those were words the female didn't share lightly but it was appropriate in this circumstance.
You will make us all proud. He reassured - an odd thing for him to do, but out of all the members, Serem had been one of the most loyal along with Alison. The two women had stuck by his side since the beginning, doing all they had been told, helping him gather the wolves necessary for them to form what he had plotted up.

With that, unless the dark woman had something else to add - he was ready to depart and let her return to whatever she wanted to continue doing.
We can end this here if you'd like!! Have a new thread with them when the hunt is done? <3 I know we had different plans for this thread but i think we can try again in a new one later >w>
She wasn't expecting those words to come out of the males mouth at all but was happy none the less and her tail gave one short sway but she didn't want to act like a pup so she regained her composure. "Once their is prey I'll give the call. But for now I must depart. I think I have time for another patro before the night is through." And if nothing else was said she would depart and continue the rest of her day.
