Vectra was once again out early in the morning, enjoying the morning mist. She tended to do such a lot more often, especially since all the recent havoc that had plagued the pack. These were her moments of peace, of silence. When she could let the world fall away from her and relax. Vectra walked slowly through the woods, heading for one of her favorite spots. A nice stream with a decent view, not to many trees, and not to few. Vectra eventually came upon her desired area, now that she was here she sat, the mist was not thick, but they were in a mountain valley, it would linger a hour or two from the sun's rising. She enjoyed watching the mist dance as it slowly faded away, it was so free of the worries of the world. She often wondered if the afterlife would be like that, carefree and kind.

is this set before or after the pack meeting? :)

The sun always rose again. Despite the darkness of the night and the cold of the night, the rays of the sun always managed to fight their way back into the sky. While the few clouds were tainted pink, an orange light shimmered along the flanks of the pale yearling. Igniting her coat with a golden glow.

Her eyes, also kissed by the gold of the rising sun, rested on the silhouette of a familiar female. With silent but quick steps she approached, keeping her ears pricked towards the girl she had decided would be her friend. She had known so since the time she met her at Tyrande's den.

"Good morning", she greeted while whipping her tail from one side to another.

ah my apology's, it is the day after the meeting ^,^

Vectra turned as she was greeted by their new alphess, a smile brought to her face that she had been brought with enjoyable company. Vectra wagged her tail as well in a happy greeting "morning, are you fairing well my alpha? I hope the pack is not giving you trouble for your new rank" Vectra had not forgotten the last time her and cara were near each other in lighter times, Cara a Tyranade didn't seem to hit it off, for all Vectra knew, that could be the case elsewhere. Of course the loyal warrior would happily lend life a limb to amend a infraction in the ranks, they didn't need unruly members in these hard times.

ok :)

When Cara first greeted her, she had not even remembered the rust kissed femme was now one of her subordinates. Becoming Alpha of the Ouroboros was so unexpected yet so gratifying. Since she had met Vectra, Cara had already decided she'd befriend the rusty girl, but when she recieved the title of Alpha Cara had decided to work on her relations with each and all of the pack members. There were some she didn't even know their names! That had to change, as well as her relation with Tyrande.

With Lecter nearing the cliffs of death, it was important that the witch stayed at the Spine. As much as she hated to do so, Cara would be willing to swallow her pride if it'd mean Tyrande would aid the pack with her knowledge.

But that was to be dealed with later. For now the new queen rested his eyes on Vectra, her adulating words pleased her ego and so the frost Alpha stretched her neck to press her nose affectionately against her new friend's ( because she had decided she was already a friend) forehead.

"I'm very well, how are you?", she asked. She was not worried anyone would give her trouble. If they did, she'd simply give them the boot.

Vectra nosed the new queens chin, as of course she was doing fine "i am good, a little... Melancholy, but are we are a bit sad for Jinx and lecter?" she explained, her soft voice somewhat wise, she knew not why, but she seemed to be alright with this, change. It was a part of life, and she was fine with it as long as she could continue her service in this pack.

Vectra's tail swayed softly as she thought about little things for a moment "if you should need any help, do not hesitate to ask me, I will be happy to assist" the loyal warrior said, as she was here to fight for her leaders, tis what she intended to do.

Melancholy fell short when it came to describing Cara's feelings.
Seeing a star fall from the highest point of the sky and plummet into the ground was simply devastating. Her precious ruler was nothing more but a bag of rags and bone. But it was not the fact that she had died what had bothered the most --she already knew her queen would be consumed by the illness that had entered her bloodsteam.

No. What really bothered her, was that while she was still aware of her surroundings the yealing never approached to say goodbye. That had been like a jab to her spirit. Though now there was nothing she could do to remediate her flaw. All she could do is take the comfort and trust provided by the rusty female .

"The whole Ouroboros mourns, but smiles too", she whispered. She was convinced that her rise to power would lead to a good future for the Spine wolves.

Vectra understood her new alpha would probably be more sad then anyone. Vectra herself was just getting to know Jinx and Lector, so when they left Vectra felt sad, confused. Many things, but she also felt a sense of duty, The need to continue serving. Lowering her head to lick under Cara's chin she said "I can offer you a bit of advice if I may?" once she had the girls full attention she would continue "Their are now words I feel could explain how I feel at the moment, but I always thought personally, the best way to say farewell to someone... was to make the best of what they left behind for you." The Firey eyed woman told the girl, as she was sure she was close to Jinx, and therefore the most hurt in this sad time, Though Vectra's words may have been a bit confusing, Vectra was trying to tell her that times were tough. And we should struggle on with pride, pride that our leaders before us trust that we can lead their pack like they did.

In that instant, Cara realized she had hit the lottery. In the moment she had decided Vectra would join her as one of the cool kids she had not only won a friend but also a devoted support. She took in every one of her friends words, absorbing the sweetness of the rust girl's advice.

"Thank you Vectra" she whispered simply while briefly resting her chin on her subordinate's head. Then she pulled away from their friendly embrace and looked at her with a renewed spirit. That single sentence uttered from Vectra's mouth ad been better than an hour of therapy.

"Im glad you're here" she confessed, even if she wasn't usually interested on the newbies, she was happy that out of all the packs in the Teekon Wilds Vectra had joined the Ouroboros.

Vectra was pleased that the new alpha had taken well to her words, a soft smile came upon her as Cara spoke her thanks "You are quite welcome. I am glad to be here also, This pack gives me purpose." she said honestly, as since she had come here she had felt like she had a purpose, a duty. And finally somewhere to belong, So she had no intentions of abandoning it any time soon.

Vectra knew she could add nothing more to what she had said, so for now, she would be what she was meant to be, the silent and loyal warrior till death. Obeying her alpha's commands.

Purpose. That was a term she had used herself when describing the satisfaction the life among Jinx's ranks brought to her. A reason to breathe. That had been exactly what the snow queen annd her precious Ouroboros had gifted her with. And though she was not sure Vectra thought so strongly of that purpose she was glad the Spine had planted that seed in her heart.

She'd bloom into a beautiful and devoted member of the Ouroboros, Cara had no doubt of that. Now if every one of her subordinates showed such promise.. the fantasy that every single wolf in the ranks would stay put during the change of leadership was fading. She was sure some of the newbies she had yet to meet would most likely hit the road. Though in the girl's opinion it was probably for the best. While it would mean less helping hands she preferred a tight-knit pack than a whole tier of strangers.

"I have a good feeling about all this", she said suddenly, it was not to soothe the doubts that might've laid in her friend's head --not even her own. She really meant it. In her heart something told the frost queen that things would work out..

Vectra looked curiously at her leader when she spoke. Wondering what was so good, members where leaving and the late queen was killed. That last fact in particular still wore Vectra sour. The fact that someone would so blatantly claim what was not theirs by killing, and killing someone weaker then themselves not to mention. Whomever it was Vectra would scorn to call queen.

But that was a later matter now she was with Cara, and she was sure the young leader wished to keep to herself about her idols loss. Vectra smiled slightly and said "im glad you see such bright signs in this dark hour" it was a kind of saying, as they were nether in night no in dark conversation. Vectra just sometimes tended to use Phrases to help her talk in complicated situations she didn't understand. Or basically whenever she was confused.

exit Cara :)

For the first time in her life, she had found a female who did not wake jealousy or envy in her heart. She had never had a female friend to be honest. Not even her sisters had occupied that spot, they had always treated her more like an enemy.

Since then she had never gotten along with any other females, in her eyes they were competition --because after all that was she had been taught.

But that was different with Vectra. It seemed that the rust girl --and of course Jinx-- had been the only exception. When around them she did not feel the need to prove herself better, she felt strangely at ease.

Cara glanced again at her friend, feeling like in her she had found the perfect companion. She'd be the treasure chest Cara stored all her riches in.

Vectra found the silence pleasing for once. It was a comfortable silence. Rare in a time like this but very nice to have, Vectra sat herself down and enjoyed it while it lasted. Taking in this momentary peace with her alpha, her friend. She wasn't sure if the younger lass felt the same way, but Vectra felt a sense of loyalty to her, a deep kind that could only be described as friendship. It was nice to have it, even if mannerisms said she should keep that to herself.

She was pretty sure soon enough the young leader would have lots of things to tend to, when the young alpha did have to wander off though Vectra hoped she would remember her promise to the leader. That Vectra was here should she need the aid, or the company.
