It was so easy to loose your place and get turned around when you were in a land so vast, so different and so utterly destructible. After the land had shaken him to his core the first time, Aiolos had learned to tread carefully ever more so. Unfortunately, it was too late and he had already lost touch with the raiding party meant to seek out one of their missing own. Now they were all lost.
He sighed, his heavily plush tail falling limpy behind him as the world get ever darker. Pushing past dark pine and silver birch atop this plateau, he thought he could find luck if only he had a high advantage. As the forestry faded way to rocky slopes at the plateau edges, he breathes deep the night air. For a moment, he thought he might have smelt the sea in the breeze.
Hope had been restored.
