Elysium was gone, members departed and the scent of his family no longer lingered in the borders that once was. The male knew there was no reason to linger either and tried to track the scent of minnow but it was lost on him. With nothing else to do, he wandered.

He was among the plains now, it seemed that they were occupied by a pack now and he minded the borders as he walked slowly unsure of what to do at that moment. He gave a short howl, perhaps this pack would know where elysium went or perhaps the members went through here.

@Ira
Her time in the plains seemed to drag on, and with it the looming boredom that accompanied her bed rest. Despite her paws itching for action, Ira would listen to Speedy, resting her leg aside from when her thirst needed to be quenched. As Speedy said, her recovery was slow, but at least now the pain was minimal. Sometimes she tested her luck, taking small walks to stretch her sore and sleeping limbs. Today just so happened to have a purpose to her walk.

The close howl was a surprise to the Constable. Few seemed to linger near their faint borders, perhaps due to the state every pack had been left in from the quakes. Everyone was too busy caring for themselves to be a pain for Kaistleoki which in its own was somewhat of a blessing with their small numbers. Ira was slow in her approach, trying her best to hide the limp should this male have bad intentions...his call was a glimmer of hope that he did not wish for trouble. Raising her tail, the mountain wolf paused a short distance from the border and addressed the stranger. You are the one who summoned the presence of this pack?
He waited there patiently for someone to address him and his call was answered swiftly. He stood up; being careful of the way he presented himself and gave a small small to the female. "My name is Akida and I'm in search of Elysium. I was trapped in the mountains and during my absence it seems they have moved on." He started of short and straight to the point. "My grandchild and I were separated when the earth began to shake. I tracked the scent but lost it and was hoping perhaps they passed through here."
The male sought out Elysium's presence, although they were fairly East from their location. Over the mountains in fact. The last time she had seen those wolves they had been struggling, with little members left to help provide. The chances of them moving was very probable if they were as affected by the quakes as Kaistleoki. Ira shook her head after racking her brain for where they might have gone, I'm afraid not. Their numbers were small last I saw, but perhaps they moved closer to some of their allies. They stood on the other side of the mountains so I doubt they made the treck over with those quakes. I am sorry you have been separated from your family.
He drew in a long sigh at the females words but his situation couldn't be helped. "Sadly I have checked and none of our allies seem to be in places they once were due to the quakes." He knew that he would not be able to travel for very long; due to his leg being messed up at the moment and the cold making his bones ache. "Perhaps your pack could use one more able body? " It was a long shot but he had nothing else now. "I am a jack of all trades, I've dabbled in a little bit of everything over my lifetime. Mostly hunter and mercenary."
The constable's brows raised as the man offered himself. Had he not been searching for his family? They weren't here, that's for sure. Nor did this stranger even know much about their pack, not that it really mattered now. Kaistleoki was still in ruins from the quakes and any form of system to teach and push wolves skills was currently on hold as they all scrambled to survive the winter. You wish to stay here? Is it just for the winter, or have you given up on your quest to find your family?
His idea wasn't idea for him no but as the cold winds approached he knew any further searching would be futile. "I cannot yet tell what I will do; but what I know is that I've been searching for months without so much of a scent and yes with winter fast approaching I don't believe I can make any more long journeys; Right now " Especially with his leg the way it was; since the earthquake the older male had been limping a lot.
Ira paused to consider if another mouth was worth taking in, but as things were currently they only really had four adults able to hunt and patrol all winter. Not to mention the pups and her own healing alongside Evergreen. She had not yet seen the man's limp, but perhaps he could work past it. Are you able to hunt in these harsh times? We can't afford another mouth if you can not provide. That or your strength will be needed to keep the borders clear.
He wasn't a fantastic hunter but he was good enough. "Yes I am able to track and hunt." He said "I'm am a proficient hunter and mercenary." He was more; he was a king but in his old age he had gotten more humble with time.
Akida assured her that he would be able to provide and another mercenary felt comforting with her and Evergreen's state. Ira would never admit it to a new member, but without some additional able bodies, they were very vulnerable. Good. I suppose I won't waste any time. Since you can distinguish our borders you should spend some time familiarizing yourself with the area. Prioritize hunting if you come across any strong prey scents. If you'll excuse me...I must go rest.

The constable turned and would retreat back to her spot near the river. She had been pushing herself more than she should have already by answering that call, but gods knew how restless she could be.
