30°, currently it is snowing and set during the day. Located in Kintla Flatlands, hoshor plains | ooc notes: iiiiiirraaaaaa!! | tagging: @Ira

Times were bleak. The earthquakes caused more than just destruction to the earth they walked upon, more than just injuries and death - it plagued them continuously by taking away food and cursing them more so with a disease that slowly popped up in its wake. Though his body was thinning, struggling to keep himself fed - the painted man was rather upbeat still.

With a bounce in his step, he wandered through the plains, a smile twisting his lips as he searched for one individual in particular. Iraaaa! He sang out, childishly so as he looked around with a twinkle in his eye. Despite knowing how tired his body must be, how broken down it was close to being, Hiero would not falter under mother nature's wrath and continue to bring joy - or at least try to.

It helped that he couldn't feel it - but boy was he aware of its effects. But it tugged on his mind, how was Ira doing? The beautiful angel of Kaistleoki, did her wounds heal? Was she feeling a little less gloomy than she did before? Perhaps he could be that distraction, if she would let him, for just a moment.
sorry this toOK FIVE YEARS TO RESPOND

Since her diagnosis, the constable had done her best to not move much. She had made her home in the lush grass near the river, although with winter nearing each day she was finding it harder to accept the cold plains as home. What choice did they have though? At least it had been a tad quieter lately, though they were all hungry. This year was certainly proving to be cruel. Speaking of which—

A call came from across the plains, almost like a song as Hieronymous grew near. Part of her wanted to groan and sink into the earth she rested on. It was nice not having to interact with people thanks to her injury, but of course, someone decided to come her way. She should be thankful to have packmates that care, but they still had not staked their permanent presence here yet and until that was done she'd rather the pack focus on other tasks.

Hiero was not one to give up that easily though, something she had found only recently since the man joined their ranks. Accepting her ultimate fate, Ira raised her head enough for her golden eyes to peak up at the painted man heading her way. Hieronymous.
Ah there you are! Ears excitedly high atop his head, the man's tail swung behind him in a greeting as he caught the sight of the woman who had snatched his heart just a little while ago. As she healed, the woman only became more beautiful beyond anything he could express. I had something to give you... but, someone else seemed to need it more. He said bashfully, almost forgetting why he had come to find Ira in the first place. All because Noki decided that this thread would be after the one with Speedy where he gave her the crow to eat.

How's the leg? Having no sense of smell, it was hard for him to do the border patrols. He couldn't tell where their claim began or end without wandering out for miles. Instead, he tried to keep up with things inside where he knew their claim was. Every so often trying to find some food, wandering out further and only to double back before getting lost in the great wilderness around. I can lick it clean for you if want? He said with a smile, a joke of course, but should she say yes, of course, he would follow through. He just wanted to see what would make the lovely woman smile.

Despite wanting to plant himself right next to Ira, to snuggle up under her shoulders, he didn't want to invade her space after only knowing one another for such a short time... soon tho.. soon he would test the waters. For now, he would give her space while healing and just maybe talk her ear off.
Yes, I am quite hard to track down now adays— Her sarcastic comment rolled off her tongue with no malice but did show her boredom with an ear flicked. The constable raised a brow as the painted male claimed to have something for her, only to have to give it away. Whatever it was, surely she would survive without. The thought is appreciated, I'm sure it helped that person more.

Speaking of her leg... Hieronymous inquired about the wound that ran along her side. She stretched out the limb giving it a short glance over. Speedy said it's healing nicely. Still quite some time to go, but no infections at least. I'm sure the last thing you want to do is get the plant mixture in your mouth, it doesn't appear very appetizing. Better strap in buddy, flirting attempts tend to go wayyy over her head... or perhaps they're just ignored.
Well - it doesn't help with his tracking abilities when one's sense of smell is similar to that of a potato. But that would be a conversation for another time. They were focussing on Ira, for now, he was focussing on Ira now and had no intention of shifting the conversation topic onto his own disabilities. I'll get you something better anyway. He continued with a smile - a dead crow, Ira deserved so much better. Even if it was food regardless of what it was, he liked to think his next catch would be a dove or something. All white, beautiful just as she was.

And not some icky bird that eats carrion.

Even if Hiero himself would have loved to munch down on the thing regardless, but he was no lady. Just some starving savage who would shove anything down his stomach to stop the rumblings from distracting him from his conversations. The pain was absent but the sound was ever-growing.

Hmmm that won't deter me - but, I would hate to lick clean the plant mixture that Speedy worked hard to prepare for you. I'm sure the plants are doing a better job than my tongue could ever do. Plus, how mad would gentle Speedy be if he ruined her work just because he wanted to get close to Ira and prolong the healing process?
