Aningan didn’t read too much into it when she pawed at her face; they were both wet from fishing, and he figured she was just trying to wipe some of that water away. He was too focused on watching to see what fish she picked, anyway—which ended up being the largest one, snatched away with a growl; it was playful in nature, seeking engagement. The male looked first towards the fish that remained, wondering if he should store them away, but ended up leaving them there. Rather than that, his front half fell down into a play-bow, tail set high and waving like a flag on a windy day. Giving her a second or two to react, Aningan sprung forward thereafter, aiming playful nips at both her and the fish.
