Things felt dull lately. The arrival of more wolves to the pack did little to quell Nieve's unrest about the state of Rusalka. It made her feel a little better to know the pack was growing, but they were still all strangers. It didn't stop her from feeling disconnected from the rest the same way her mothers did. With the idea in mind that things couldn't improve, Nieve continued pouring her efforts into searching for signs of her missing siblings rather than getting to know the newcomers.

She was returning from one such voyage when she came across the scent of her sister, Clementine. The discovery sent a queer feeling through Nieve's gut, for her sister had returned just in time for Scarab to disappear again. It all left a bitter taste in Nieve's mouth—did any of them really think about the pain they caused when they up and left? She banished it quickly with a dose of guilt, but it was enough that she angled her path away from Clem's. She wanted to receive her wayward sibling with acceptance and understanding, but she wasn't positive she could do it just yet. Scarab's latest departure still hurt too much and she wasn't sure she could refrain from asking Clementine where she'd gone.

Instead she began to follow the vaguely familiar scent of @Tuvak, one of the other youths in the pack. She didn't feel like being around her family at the moment, so why not find one of the newcomers and get to know them better? They would only remain strangers if she didn't make the effort, after all.
