Pale paws carried her beyond her realm. Over the mountains- it was frightening indeed, being so far from home. Like when she'd left her first home. But Chanel knew she was a scout now, or a scout-in-training at least. She ought to be able to get out of her comfort zone. And so the dainty girl was determined to explore the places which she did not know, to acquaint herself with the strangers whom she was so quick to trust.

Scaling down the slope, chocolate eyes survey the new land. Her rosy head flips backward, but the hinterlands were entirely out of sight now, covered by the mountains. Hesitantly, she continues forward.
There was something he'd been meaning to do and had never gotten around to it. They had an ally, one by the name of Moonspear. He remembered that he had overheard Vengeance mention it once or twice before to Vanity or perhaps Tzila, a woman named Hydra had been talked about in passing too. If he was to join Hela at the top then he figured he needed to meet their allies.

He had set out to do so early in the day before the sun had risen so that he could take his time in exploring the land outside of the territory. A whim told him to head toward the mountains and up a slope he went soon stumbling across a female. He paused and glanced her way, looking back ahead of him before realising she was beautiful. He looked again, eyes round as his ears perked up paw lifted as he tried to move past the urge to say something so he could just continue on his way. Instead what happened was that he cleared his throat and uttered an uncharacteristically shy "Hello"
Warm and red and a jumble of lovely colors, there he was. A boy, younger than Chanel, and certainly not a Firebird. Not this far from home. He calls out to her, and she hesitates to respond- almost nervous of him. He was a boy, and a stranger, and not from the Hinterlands at all. Had her father been there- well, she would've been in trouble. She couldn't talk to strangers, and certainly not boys.

But she scolded herself for making such judgements. Chanel was free from her homeland now- she could talk to boys and even strangers if she wanted to, she decides. Her chocolate eyes meet his silvery ones, and she calls back lightly- "Hi, dear... I'm Chanel. Chanel Vasselli." she introduces with a girlish voice like birdsong. Dainty paws carry her cautiously a few feet closer, awaiting the admittedly handsome boy's introduction of his own.
The only thing that kept running through his mind was how beautiful she was. It was a habit for him to stop and notice beauty, he had done so with everything since he was barely able to speak. Why was this different? Why was it so hard to form a thought? Valour sucked in a breath and composed himself somewhat as she turned, his eyes catching hers and darting away again shyly which he immediately felt embarrassed for. Looking back up into her gaze he took a step back wary of being so close to someone who had thrown him off balance like this. "Valour" he said softly, wondering if he should tag on some fake additional name or just leave it as such. "I like your name" he stated awkwardly his gaze searching her face for a moment as if trying to pull some conversation topics from her mind. Why was talking so much harder with this woman than with Hela? And what was that? He liked her name. He did but it sounded weird to just admit that to a stranger. "Uh....nice day right?"

The boy's eyes flit away as sooh as they meet hers. She doesn't understand why. On some level she knew she was a sight for sore eyes, but somehow she had not yet connected the dots that her beauty could cause shyness. Blame her sheltered childhood. He introduces himself as Valour, and she smiles sweetly. Both at his compliment and his introduction. "Thank you! I like your name too, Valour. Like... courage." She thinks out loud, admiring it. Next he asks her a painfully boring question. But luckily for Valour, he had come across perhaps the only wolf in the Wilds who could be entertained by small talk. And so she nods, little smile still glued to her face. "Yes, it is. I'm having a nice time exploring past home," She tells him, and suddenly she's curious as to where he was from. He was a pack wolf- she could tell that much from his scent, mingled with touches of others on his pelt- but she knew little of other groups, and could not discern what his was.
Having never recieved more than maybe enough compliments to count on one paw having a pretty woman return his compliment nearly caused his brain to short circuit. He floundered for something else to say, regretting having assumed the lead in the conversation. "Where are you from? There's a few packs around here" he asked her curiously and realised soon after that he had not given many details of himself where he asked them of her. It probably sounded nosy. "I'm...Well I don't think I'm supposed to just toss our name around but I'm pretty local. In a patch of creepy woods back there" he motioned back in the direction he came from, sounding embarrassed as he stumbled over the decision on telling her the Nightwalker name.
oh boy... not sure if I should say like, big sorry for the wait? XD I kinda thought this would get archived after I dropped Chanel. we can still finish it out though, she wont be joining obv, but I'd love a more recent thread at some point. and again... SO sorry!!

He asks about where she's from, and she's about to tell him willingly, until he tells her that he can't share the name of his own place. A somewhat playful huff of girlish irritation, Well, darling, why should I share the name of my home if you won't share the name of yours? It simply isn't fair, She teased with a smile. Of course she planned to hand over the name of her place anyway, but she could at least try to pull some information from the charming yet mysterious boy. My place is called Firebirds. We're just past these mountains, She explained with a light gesture if her muzzle towards the direction she'd come from.
