asmodeus had promised the golden idol he would return, but the farther he traveled from the tuktu, the more reluctant he had grown. why return? she had not indicated it would be anything short of another power struggle, and the reptile was wearied at the thought.

no need to return when more inviting country lay ahead.

on the borders of a pack he circled, paused, hovered ghostlike in a forest choked with winterpine.

asmodeus tipped back his head, cried out to those women therein who might spare a fancy for a passing traveler.
A song, foreign and bold, had woven it's way through winter worn trees, eventually falling to the earthly sylph who danced near unfamiliar borders.

Ears swiveled atop her crown as her tail swung wickedly behind her, paws now moving mindlessly towards the source of the call as curiosity bubbled within.

Eventually her attention came to settle on the ghostly figure still a good distance away, mismatched gaze unabashedly roving over his body as she continued her trot into his line of sight.
his croon was effective; a wasp-waisted, leggy thing materialized out of the snowy world, headed directly toward his eye-range.

he observed her with an open desire, a grinning mouth without a glitter to match his own lightless stare.

closer now, to see the two-toned gemstones of her eyes. "you're a sight," asmodeus offered, pausing in the drifts some feet away.
"For sore eyes?" she asked with a crooked grin, the mischievous glint in her eyes flickering with each step she took.

She thought him unremarkable despite his obvious beauty, his oil soaked eyes being the forefront of her attention. "You called" she let out, stopping a few feet off from where he stood, "so here I am".
"something like that," asmodeus teased back, drinking her in with a fine appreciation for her sculpted limbs and knowing, intelligent eyes.

"i called for one of them," the serpent mused, a cursory scenting of the air revealing that she was not from the neighboring pack. free as he was.

"but now i'm forgetting about whoever they are," asmodeus purred, coalsmoke eyes drifting to her own.

he stole another step, another, testing her receptiveness with a single reach of pallid muzzle.
It is not the first time she has felt the weight of a stare upon her, her expression indifferent despite his roving eyes. It is only at his approach does she shift under his gaze, her tail instinctively rising with each steps he takes until it is parallel with her body.

A leathery tongue slips between exposed teeth as he reaches out with his muzzle, a low growl rumbling within her chest at his brash approach. Still, she does not pull away from his advances and continues to remain firm in her posture until he either retreats or pushes his luck further.
the woman did not strike, but he saw in her coiled figure the potential of it. and so asmodeus retracted his offer for the time being, sauntered beyond the siren to pick up a game trail.

"the herds are coming back. we should fuck with them," the reptile suggested with a low laugh, gesturing toward the gates of the nearby pack.
Her features smoothed at his withdraw, tail falling to rest neatly along her haunches once more as she turned to face the direction he had motioned in. "What did you have in mind?" she asked impishly, a devilish smile dancing along the edge of her lips at his suggestion.
"the classic 'we killed something that was yours' game is always fun," asmodeus mused aloud, falling into step along the little path. "or we could stampede the elk right into their land. who knows," he grinned, long legs moving with a nimble excitement.
